The level of engineering involved here is just beautiful. My brain cells just had a party when I saw that test field
Beta version tech that will be a miracle if it's still working by the end of the warranty period. Mercedes won't even say (let alone make a legal commitment) how long they are going to support the software in this tech for, so expect them to want to have nothing to do with it the moment in all goes wrong and has to be fixed (by their dealers only, of course, as a lot of this software and tech is proprietary and they won't make it available to anyone else other than their dealers so that they can bend you over as much as they like for a service or repairs). Enjoy your status symbol and aspirational piece of fake luxury, people.

I am a Mercedes girl! Beautiful car.
The only thing I would change about this is the rear design, other than that everything is perfect. The interior is yacht - inspired, the tech is on another level, the safety features won't let you die easily or kill someone. There is rear wheel steering and a level 4 of autonomous driving. I can go on but the video clearly shows everything. I would choose this over the new RR Ghost with dinosaur leather, no new tech, an umbrella and the interior design of my grandma's house.
I only would change the price... :)

As an Industrial Designer I totally prefer the RR Ghost and basically all Rolls-Royce models over this car especially in terms of interior design, which in the case of new S-Class is childish, hi-techy-show-off, immature, and 3rd-World markets oriented. Not every new design element is better than any old one, but most buyers now are from developing countries with quite poor and uneducated taste, so they look like this. I'm mostly talking about the interior. The S-Class's exterior design is perfect and on par with the RR and Bentley in my opinion.
@@edibfeyzuahbeygi2045 I don't think the 3rd world countries which obviously have poor people with poor taste would be able to buy the 100k S classes that are sold every year. I'm also pretty sure Universities or degrees that people might have don't include taste on cars or other stuff.
RR cars look classy and simple but simplicity and the classic design should also have a limit when it comes to a spending at least 300k on a 2021 car. I'm buying the whole car as a package not only the expensive materials.
About the childish, high-techy part u mentioned, that would be the big screen on the middle not the whole interior. The other luxury cars would dream to have the wooden part to flow like that on the front and the back of the interior. Even the air vents are gorgeous. Not to mention the seats and the speakers. The S-class is a 100k+ car and many people of different age groups can afford. My rich 70 year old aunt would get a headache from the new S but the rest of the population who needs and uses tech everyday would love the new S class. I saw some comments about the RR that's why I mentioned it. U can't actually compare a car brand that sells 4k cars per year to the world's most sold luxury car.

I don’t know whether or not I would be able to buy the S-Class someday.
But this film is done so well - especially how the Mercedes-Benz people take pride while talking about their product. The storytelling reflects passion clearly for each individual.
This has made me to make a mission to work with or for the Mercedes-Benz marketing team one day.

They try to make a hyundai tail lights sounds German expensive. I think the designer just ran out of idea on designs coz the previous design is the best ever, they just thought let's copy Hyundai... That tail light is horrible, the air con vent is cheap and has no history.. the only innovation that they have is this video, and the innovation in speech as in this video with nice words trying to justify the Hyundai tai lights lol

Now they made the S class look like a C class. I think the tail lights doesn't gives more elegant, classy and extravagance feel of the S class.
I like this, it's an S class. Not out of the ordinary or anything like that, it still looks like a car! It's beautiful, and the interior is very nice. I'm glad mb didn't make this car look extremely futuristic and stuck to a more current design 👍

For S class is a bit cheap looking exterior. For entry level cars maybe is OK for like CLA and A, but for S I was expecting something with bigger lights
It looks in substantial (and not in a good way). It has the design elegance and character of a commercial dishwasher.
It's the other way around. The exterior is "ok". The interior is truly horrendous. Especially that oversized piece of wood that doesn't "do" anything.
