I used to play bass for Pinto about 30 years ago, sitting in for Jim. I recall Pinto staying in an old motel in Swan Valley. He shared his best advise: Don't hock your pistol or your guitar. Good advise.
Around '87 when I was about 7 or 8 living on our farm in rural England (Cornwall) I used to watch westerns all day and my American born father told me tall tales from over the Atlantic. Then one day a bunch of real cowboys came to stay on the farm. I couldnt believe it as Pinto, Jim, Sergio & co walked down the drive. They stayed a few nights, played and drank and were complete gentlemen. I'll never forget that experience!! Much love from over the pond
I had the honor and privilege of being introduced to this legend at the Veterans Benefit at Shorty's this week end. He is The Real Deal! Thank You Dwight Thompson!
