This is not a dis at all and if your a owner operator and your just doing $500 to $700 dollar loads thats a deal that won't work in the industry I don't move my truck for under $1500 because it's not worth doing because anything can happen on the way, my last load was put of Sacramento cali to michigan and that payed me $5800 in a half week and I finished off with one to Arizona fir $4800 on 2000 miles thats $10,600 that's in 8 days and if anyone thinks doing $500 dollar loads they will fail doing that because a flat tire or a tow can cost you $500 or $1000 and a overhaul is $40,000 so if your not grossing atleast $8,000 and up per week or minimum if $7500 that truck will need a inframe or out frame at 20,000 engine hours when that warranty is up and that will be ut I tell everyone and those 500 mile loads are supposed to pay atleast $1400 to $2000 so if yall don't know that brokers will play even a 400 mile load is paying $1200 if you ask for a increase
I respect everyone view points.and opinions! Anytime someone says something to me I take it with a grain of salt. Right now the way I run it works for me. And when I get everything situated my income will increase with trucking but I’ve prep myself for everything I’m doing
You're not getting $3 a mile everywhere pulling dry van. The national average for dry van is $2.11 a mile. Longer hauls nets you less per mile, shorter runs is where the money is right now. You've got to be talking about flatbed or reefer.

@myperspectiveletstalk8616 Nah. They wouldnt even respond to me on the first load on time. I moved on. When they did respond, they cancelled the load on me.
@@MrUniversal357s an Owner Operator Sir… That is absolutely the wrong mindset to have. Just because it delivered the same day, there is not much revenue at all. You moving like a company driver. Just listening to you explain what you were hauling, off the head I can guesstimate you ran for less than $1 a mile.
@mrjuneteenth3060 Going east out of Alabama doesn't pay shit. I haven't been there in like 7 months even though I live in Georgia. I recently ran a load to Mississippi, and checked the rates in AL...same thing, still not paying because the loads around southern Alabama mimick Florida. The closer you are to Florida the lower the rates are cause everyones trying to get a load out. I agree, that mindset of having same day delivery as justification was silly, but those rates will always be garbage and unless you find a specialized shipper or something.
