Incredible work there! Any plan on open-sourcing the designs and code or offering them on a paid basis? I understand that a project like this is not for the faint of heart, but really cool to build
@@RVRCloset Yeah my friend! I'm seriously considering building one.. I already ordered some CF for the upper frame.. I have no idea what I'm getting into but if BRANSON can rocket into friggin space.. I can make a 6DOF!
I love the two joystick control. I recently built my 3DOF. but.. want to FLY like this.. so 6 DOF is up next.. (winter project). Epoxy sets up too quick when it's 90 degress in Mississippi! DMAX motion sim ch
Nice job! Was wondering has any one used a motor driven wheel to spin the rig inside it's own axis? I was considering this as it would allow for essential limitless spin left or right.
The funny thing is in space, the craft would have to suspend all g-force or suppress it to 1G (in simulation) so you didn't get flattened like a pancake due to acceleration or breaking from FSD / Supercruise... Go figure what the real G force would be.
very true Stuart but as FTL motion is impossible, I use is real world forces so I have 'imaginary inertial dampers' in place. Being a maths teacher I could work out the real' Inertial Forces' (not G-force btw - in space there won't be any sizable 'g' unless near a massive object) but no reason too really as its a moot point.
Hello, can you tell us the costs for all parts? And is it stabil/solid enough because I would fear that the thin parts (blade and sticks) could bend or break under the weight and moves. Regards? Chris PS: Great work!
Hi Cmdr Blastard, Looks really cool! I would love to copy/paste your efforts. Did you create a how-to? Especially of the I/O of ED itself? Did Frontier get back to you?
Wow, this is an impressive amount of effort dedicated to Elite Dangerous.
Holy shit man, after watching 2 minutes of this video that was the easiest subscribe I think ive ever done! Love your work fella.
What a great build, congratulations!
Amazing job CMDR!!!
Massive respect for that. I wish i had half the skills you have to make that. Good work.
Amazing - I appreciate the time that must have taken.
Now that makes me envious. Hope to see you in the arena or in the black, CMDR! o7

Wow, that's an awesome build!!
R-VR! So we meet again! Yep this is incredible! My new winter project I guess.. Ordering stuff as we speak! DMAX motion sim
@@DMAX_DIY That will be awesome mate!! :)
Wish I had more room in the closet.. ';D

you should sell kits or plans & build instructions to recoup some of your costs in designing and building this excellent rig.
Wow! Nice job!
Nice work
You've been busy ;) Love it!
many thanks - I enjoyed this build. Just added a touchscreen to monitor all the drive temps.
Very nice work, probably not far off a commercial proposition...
I wish I had the know how you do mate !!! Love to make one for flight sims. Well done matey :)

Badass build! mad respect
How u getting the Telemetry from the games, so the chair knows what's going on?
You might try some long dampers to smooth out the movement
Hi - it doesn't need dampers (like my v3 one did). The motors on this v5 are actually pretty smooth due to their 'over' power - thanks tho
cyberpunk is now and one should start living it

@@cmdrblastard5774nice! Have you tried hooking it up to fs2020? I been playing a fair bit of that lately.
Superb work, Come on FDev hand over the API, we need more third party applications for this game.
your work looks great but you look eerily reminiscent of Belters
I used a voice recognition program to create key presses, just an fyi...
voicebot
@@snowwolvesproductions I use voiceattack, it's very good . . never heard of voicebot, I must check it out!
My goodness man, that seat you used in your rig, is that a $1000 stressless chair?
Wow 8) ! If u have any things to test - send it to me to germany - i will test it ! :D :D . Good job
I lost you after the base hahaha
What a great setup! Was it worth all the efforts and budget I guess went over the price of off the shelf 6 DOF from DOF Reality?

Please tell me youve tried a racing drone while sitting here
Awesome but where the heck you put it. not a household item.
mind sharing the know how would love to build this as part of me college project mate
Huh, I think I got something I can use these 20 year old 8 amp stepper motors on now:P
Wow.
How can i buy you one?
Can you fit a seatbelt for when it’s my turn!? 😂 xx
