True dedication CMDR Blastard - great one! Like CMDR Pausanias said, tidy it up and you can make a business out if it! One question, not having VR myself, how do you get to use the keyboard with your headset on ... by feel/experience?
You'll have to check out my latest v4 modification Sandy. BIG power now and absolutely brilliant for ED. You and the team keep up the good work and I'll keep building! - I love it all. Cmdr Blastard
i fly a beluga , i wish there was a way to set back the chair in the game , if the chair was back a little it would give a widee view and a amazing immersion
Very nice setup. Does latest Simtools 2.2 still can play older game plugin like Hawken? I noticed that hawken game plugin didnt update for awhile for latest simtool
no game data alas - so I'm using a generic joystick plugin at the moment (joystick talks to the motion software which talks to the arduino mcu on the chair). Hoping for an API from Frontier Developments in the near future (hopes)
Well done commander, that looks awesome.. I would imagine there is a bit of a delay between the VR and chair.. does it make you feel a bit queezy when playing? I could see myself projectile vomiting on this after 10 mins in a hazres hahaha ;)
Hi, no noticeable delay in anything. No vomit for me for me - I ride bikes (you may have noticed the supercharged and turbocharged bikes in the background (built them too) - nearly as quick as my chair - lol
hi ! Is the whole thing still working apparently they updated elite once again and fucked up everything about motion controls ? and don't you or didn't you experience some motion tracking loss (do you have a motion cancellation plug in installed or not ? thanks.
That type of chair should not be for a space sim game as you would not have gravitation feel when flying it. Now if you played Flight sim game like DCS World or X Plane or Microsoft Flight simulator then it would work perfect.
You are right of course - however, until we actually have starships to blast around in for comparison, trust me - this is the next best thing. Trying to buid an anti-gravity sim would break my brain (and bank). I fly my shipsin Ed like a plane and the forces I feel mimic flight moves. Cmdr Blastard
Hey congrats on the whole engineering of the build it self which im not hating on one bit. One of my dreams would be to build a simulator setup that uses that type of movement with huge curved screens that gives you the true 180 degrees of view.
Still blown away by your machine mate! See you in CQC (micmacmoc)
That looks like so much fun! Great work CMDR
This is admirable! Good work
Wow. Rough and ready. Nice one CMDR.
This is possibly the best thing ever.
Congrats Cmdr! Exemplary play! Cheers ~ Enjoy!
That is just awesome - Cover all the workings up and make it all look nice and you could make your fortune me thinks.
Speechless...
fan tas tic.
Incredible job, well done.
Amazing build.
You massive awesome nerd!!! Well bloody done!
you're making me blush. Cmdr Blastard
Wow, just wow. Amazing work! Fly safe commander.
Awesome work CMDR!
Great work! May I suggest a 5 point harness for those nights you have some drinks :) Cheers

Bloody good job 😁
Mega kudos Cmdr. Awesome. o7
That cable management tho.
development mode - easy to modify 'on the fly'. Final build will be pro. Cmdr Blastard
Wow! Unbelievable!
Would really love to build one myself. When you get it all worked out post the design specs and directions
OMG! Want! That looks so cool (and scary!)

Take my money!
WoW WoW and WoW i needss thisss

Great effort! Shame the motion data is not available yet and you have to use HOTAS inputs. I'm sure the day will come o7
I live in hope that FD will release a motion API. Cmdr Blastard

I'd love to make one myself...dont suppose there are instructions or a "how to" out there is there?
...holy fuck, wow.
Great work commander! Forgive me if I missed it, but how are you extracting the data that drives the movement?

Kev B I may be able to help with that, I shall forward your video to the right people ;)

Damn.
How do you do this and still have time to even play Elite?
You're making me feel inadequate. Ha!
