Hi Julie, You are 100% correct on how the sunlight affects the culture and the people who live there. I just moved back to Mexico City from living in Oregon for 1 and a half years and dear god it is always raining in Oregon and it is pretty far north so during the winters you don't get like any sun light and the people there tend to be colder or less friendly. I am not sure how to explain this but people in places with less sun light tend to be more reserved and less likely to talk to you or be friendly. Although I did made many friends while I was living in Oregon I felt like I was tired most of the time and my immune system also was very bad while I was living there since I was getting sick all the time. Also people seemed to be way less interested on making friends or relationships which was very weird to me. And I was also told by some of my friends that smiling a lot was also seen as very fake and un trust worthy which was also very interesting to me. And you are so right about the rainy season it is so nice because if always comes during the afternoons during rainy season if you ever have time you should listen to the song "Mi ciudad" which is a song about Mexico city and it also mentions the rain during the afternoons.

I am American (ohio) and I've visited both Norway and Mexico City. I'm curious how you would compare & contrast the two countries? For me, it felt that Norway is the definition of orderliness and having everything in its place, wheres Mexico City is all about motion, emotion, and chaos, but it all somehow flows.

Wow, really makes me want to go for a few months. Long enough to breathe in the culture, the many art scenes, the music, food and people. You clearly loved it.
Mexico City sounds like a place to go for a new project, which I try to do every now and then, to break off from my daily, more structured life.
    Thank you for sharing.

Guadalajara is much better than Mexico city... I live South of los Angeles California... I just got back from Puruandiro Michoacan.. I spent November and December there. The weather, the people, and the food are just absolutely amazing.. Here in the US is just a rat race....

I bought an apartment in Colonia Renacimiento, Cuauhtémoc in CDMX. It is quiet, clean, pretty, and quite safe here. I do not go into the polluted parts of the city, and the air pollution is not a problem.
Thank you for an organized video.

El pais entero les da la "valkommen" a toda la gente del mundo, incluyendo a los de Noruega. We Mexicans like to celebrate life every day (or at least every weekend) in some way since life was meant to be lived only once, so we may as well be as happy as we can with what we have! Your Danish & Finn brethren already figured this out, so let's enjoy much more fun-loving, welcoming friends & far less stupid, meaningless wars! 'Takk & Skol, Norge!'

How does people's way of being make you feel?
In Mexico people tend to be friendlier but hoping that doesn't make you feel uncomfortable.
    Good luck.
