Correction: the actual affinity between the enzyme and substrate is not changed in presence of competitive inhibitor. There are just some enzyme active sites bound to inhibitors. Km,apparent=Km(1+[inhibitor]/Ki)

Sir, why Uncompetitive inhibitor only binds to ES ? Why it is different from non competitive inhibitor ? Is it because of the difference in their chemical composition or what ? Please clear my doubt sir ..
Why Km decrease in uncompetitive inhibition bcz ES complex has already been formed and Inhibitor binds to ES complex it should not be affecting the Km value????

I'm still unclear why Km is the same in non-competitive inhibition
I think it is so because the inhibitor is binding to the site other than active site.. So it is not going to change the affinity of enzyme towards substrate in any way...so as affinity is same means km is not changed..
