- Alpha helix structure of protein - This biochemistry lecture explains about the structure of alpha helix which is a type of protein secondary structure. Alpha helix structure biochemistry is well explained with an animation at the end of this lecture video. Please watch this series of videos that explains about different protein secondary structure like alpha helix and beta sheet.
Watch out this video to know the structural role of protein secondary structure.

Thank you for watching the biochemistry lecture on alpha helix structure and function of protein.
I didn‘t find a german video for this so I had to watch it in english. And it‘s a really good alternative!
Thank you. Glad you liked my lectures
Sehr Gut!
Thank you sir , for preparing such a understandable video. I am from Pharmacy Background your video help me all the time .Again thank you very much
Thank you.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Here because of Corona virus, universities are closed. And I learn every thing by my self with UA-cam.
Your videos are very nice and help me.👌👌👌🙏🙏🙏🙏🌸🌸🌸
Glad to hear that you're getting benefit from my lectures. Which place is this?
Actually sir thank you so much for such a terrific vdo ..........am from odisha.....Bsc microbiology Honors ......ND the last part of this vdo cleared all my doubts briefly.......thank you so much 💕 sir
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts. Glad to hear that you're getting benefit from my lectures
Nicely explained Mr. Shomu. I just watched your old video on Secondary protein structure before watching the above new video. I should say that you have tremendously improved your teaching skills over the years. Your delivery has improved and easy to understand. Good job and great going
God bless you.
I really have to like this video, very detailed and thorough explanation!!
You're welcome
Thanku so much sir for the explanation of these structures...i needed it so much.
You're welcome
Sir
It was really nice video
Your teaching is more different
Please send another video about
Protein👌👌👌👌
Hi man, I smashed the like button before watching, thanks for your great wok
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts
I am not even a biology student but I wanted to know the working of alpha and beta structures(it is in our 12th chemistry) and your videos helped me. Thank you sir
Excellent narration
Thank you
I have a question...intrachain hydrogen bonds from between the NH group of each aminoacid and the carbonyl group of the aminoacid 4 residues away...is it true..?? I think it should be 3..what is ur opinion???
superb sir..... all videos are really very helpful...... sir please uploaded the videos of graphical problems of csir net exam..
+Mansi Pal I will do that soon. Thank you
Thank you sir for this kind of videos. I am studying Bachelor Biosciences and I am revising with your videos all the content of my courses. So a big thank you. Many things are getting better into my mind and I understand complex topics better now.
that's great 👍
+DR. S.K.SINGH {MBBS} thank you.
You are such a great teacher 👍
Thank you.
Hina plz can I hav notes of class 12 biotechnology
What about beta-alpha-beta?
Sir I want to know where proline is present in alpha helix or beta sheet?
These are present in loops n turns dear
sir i like your teaching methdalogy keep it up.
Thanks sir for the info . Your channel is the one stop solution for all biology queries
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts. Glad to hear that you're getting benefit from my lectures
@@shomusbiologyofficial sir your lectures are the best and most basic to make even a lame man learn sir i have one more question will you please tell out of alpha helix and beta sheet which is the more stable configuration n why . Kindly revert
Which ammino acids does not form alpha helix structure and why ?
Not 3or 4 amino acid
i=i+4 1st amino acid with 5th other amino acids
Hydrogen bonds are formed after every 3.6 amino acids right?
Sir In video you are counting bonding amino acid fourth one but telling fifth amino acid make bond with first
This video is Informative and it helped me to prepare for My Msc exam T Q Suman.
You're welcome. Glad to hear that you're getting benefit from my lectures. Please subscribe and share
good
thnks sir very helpful video
can u plzz upload muscle contraction
+Siva Kumar okay I will do that soon. Stay tuned
Sir please aap Hindi mein lecture banaya kare Jo aur aap bahut jaldi jaldi samjhate Hain
sir , please made a video on amino acid biosynthesis.
thank u..sir..promice ,i feel some tym;ur lecturs are true blessings....for me..thank u.
Bad Gaya budget video Ka 😂😂😂
Thank you so much!!!.... That was so easy to understand..... And also you kinda look like the professor from the money heist series
You're welcome. Glad to hear that you're getting benefit from my lectures. Please subscribe and share
Nicely and comprehensively explained, thanks a lot!
Thank you
hello,
bhai physical anyhropology ke lie ek playlist compile kardo na pls UPSC syllabus ke according....😊😊😊😇
thank u pls consider the request☺
+Shubham Sharma hmm. I will try
u have already covered many topics of syllabus.... u just have to arrange then according to syllabus and thats it....😊 it will help a no. of people choosing anthropology from engineering background like me....as almost no coaching or very poor level coaching is there for anthro atleast this is the case in delhi and north india....😊
Great explanation!! Love your content
Thank you
Respect from Pakistan...
Thank you sir..
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts
Thank you sir.
You're welcome
There are people on UA-cam who make the claim that polypeptide sequences are complete random chance. They need to see this video, starting from 6:52. There are other videos on UA-cam which talk about geometric limitations determining the formation of the secondary structure.
Thanks a lot
You're welcome
Sir u r best......m in 3rd year from kolkata expecting 2nd year results... And u r my guideline for the preperation of my entrance exams for msc
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts
Sir g preference on comments.....

And one more thing, proline is helix breaker because of lack of rotation of c alpha-cooh bond as denoted by ramachandran's plot
All the lectures are very easy to understand and it helps me a lot.
+anuska mahata thank you. Glad you liked my lectures
How are the Alpha Helices primarily stabilized?
By hydrogen bonds.
Sir 5.4 angustrom is distance between 2 Nitrogenous bases
Thank you so much sir
Fathabolous explanation... keep it up..
Thank you. Glad you liked my lectures
Thank you sir.
In former episode, you sated 3 degree structure donot contain covalent bond but it was there in animated part
I am in dilemma , please help
nice sir
What is the structure of a poly glycine protein if it is not an alpha helix?
Thank you
In alpha helix hydrogen bonding is intra or intermolecular
Intra
@@shomusbiologyofficial how to decide

Sir class lailu ho
Plz make a video on simply make structure of all type of protein so the structure's diagram make easy
how many amino acids are present in helix?
thanks!
Q.
Folding of polypeptide chain is called as ?
A. Beta - Sheet
B. Alpha Helix

name of amino acids present in helix?
Thank you so much 💓 💗
You're welcome
he said right handed helix, and drew left handed one.
hello thanks for these helpful information. i have one more question what about the structure triple helix that found in collagen. you didn't mention in secondary protein.
Why proline is helix breaker??
Due to its bulkier r group
sir plz give the lecture on topic population genetics
Thank you sir

What is amino acid residues?
Every single amino acid
@@shomusbiologyofficial is it the amino acid pointing outside the alpha helix structure is called amino acid residues?
