Your reaction to this was the same as everyone's back when it came out. We're all like, yeah, this is banging and then the rant happens and we're like wtf?? Lol! Disturbed indeed. Always on my playlist!
So, David in an interview has said that “mommy” in that breakdown bit is about the government and how it oppresses society. I get why a lot of people request for reactors to listen to this song for that specific part since it does get a good reaction a lot of the time, however that is pretty different from how a lot of their other songs are. This song is from their first album, which is also their heaviest. I recommend listening to songs such as inside the fire, stricken, the light, the night, land of confusion, 10,000 fists, are you ready (both the original and remix), a reason to fight, and in another time. Their entire catalog is worth a listen, but I tried to narrow it down to a bit less haha
