You don't have to take the glove box off but it does give you more room to work if you do. To remove the white cover you pry the bottom off as the top is the hinge. When you reattach the cover place the top hinge in first then snap down.
Just used this info to remove a UK Juke glove box and replace a connection which I think had been left unconnected at the last service - this was causing the heating to blow hot constantly. Note that UK cars have 7 screws. Many thanks Henry :)
No need to remove the glove box/compartment or unscrew anything, simply look under the box. Get your head down there and you’ll see the tiny white cover that this video shows you at minute 3:38. You might need good lighting but you’ll see it. Take the cover off, pull the filter out grabbing it by the loose flap and that’s it. Make sure that the replacement ends up in the same position as the old one (air flow and flap).

Thank you, the video is very detailed, I used it twice, once for my air filter and once again when I had to reconnect my power outlet situated in the same area.
I change my cabin filter after looking video where a guy show how to change it from foot space without take out the glove box. But it's very difficult and you must press the new filter together when you will take it in the filter box. It's ugly how nissan planed these position for the filter box. I have question why you take the old filter back and not change it against a new one. Because the price is very low and only to smash it to clean is not enough because fine particles of poll are deep in the filter. Try the next change from foot space. 👍
Because its $10 you don't need to spend when it just needs to be tapped out to get rid of the dust. This seems like a bit of a foreign gimmick to be honest, I am from the UK and nobody I know changes their car filter because its pretty needless. The dealer will do stuff like that when the vechile is in for service.
He said, if you don't have the money or the time...not everybody is as lucky as you financially... where is your video trying to help people who don't know how to do this?
You can avoid removing the glove box. However, you need to be somewhat flexible, patient, and having long needle nose may help. Even reaching the filter, it is much larger than the opening so finesse is needed to remove and replace.
already removed the old filter, put a new one, after hitting the filter on the door, you automatically got all the dirt inside the car, doing that is same shit like re-using a condom multiple times LOL
you don't need to take off the glove compartment. you can finagle through all that mess and reach around it to replace it. just a heads up. at most just remove the door assembly to the glove box.
Pollin filters can't really be cleaned, they might look clean but what they trap is pollen and airborne bacteria as well as dust and dirt, the bacteria grows on the intake side of the filter and giving it a shake will only loosen a little dust and grit from it, they cost about $8 so just buy a new one and replace it every year, they are designed to last one summer of airborne pollen, and as said by others the cover for the pollen filter is prised from the bottom upwards not the top downwards, but this video does show where it is located,
Wenn man sich diese Arbeit schon macht das ist toll anzuschauen, aber dann kann man auch einen neuen Filter nehmen die 20 30 € hat man ja wohl noch über
No need to remove glove compartment, just go straight to the footwell. You can see the floormat in this video, thats where the filter is!! This is a fine example of a youtuber not using common sense.
Bro you make your job move difficult for yourself, you don't have to remove the box, just under the dashboard you can see it there and change it very easier and simple.
Hahaha im laughin so hard. Dude at least do it before you record it, this go with the flow looks terrible 😜😜😜, you also broke the bottom clip on the filter cover, need to super glue it now. 😁😁😁👌👌👌. Oh well at least you gave it your best try 😏😏😏👌👌👌👌👌
Wow! You make this seem way harder than it really is. Do your research before you try to demo and it would make you appear somewhat qualified to offer advice. If you don't have time to replace the filter just bang out the debris? You're a tool!!! You took the time to remove it, just replace the filter, it's 15 bucks at a local parts store. People like you shouldn't do vehicle maintenance, just stick to paying someone to do it for you!
People like you shouldn't comment...there are people, though it might be hard for you to believe, that may not be as lucky as you and might not have $10/$15...when you take the time to put the video that would show people how to do this and do a better job than this guy...then you could say something, until then...this guy showed me how to do it...the fact that he did it live, actually helped me know where I could have issues...these videos are more useful than the ones where everything works perfectly because that is almost never the case for most of us who obviously are not experts or we wouldn't be looking for videos on how to do something. There are two kinds of people in my opinion...those who try to help and those who stand back and criticize the ones that are trying to help for not doing a good enough job...guess which group you belong to.
Amen to that. I get tired of the douchebaggery when people "think" they can do it better. My thought is, if you can do it better, then just do it and shut up. This guy helped me and I work on my cars all of the time.@@tonyduarte417

Thank you henry this was very helpful
Большое спасибо что показали как менять фильтр!
Why remove the glove box? You can just get to it from under the dash. Look up, under the dash and you can see it.
I was thinking the same thing after seeing where it was. lol
Yep, that's how I just changed mine too.
Yeah but for me 6'2 and 289 its kinda hard to do that from the bottom hahahah, i do my glove removal 😁😁😁👌👌👌👌👌
Very easy job. Clear instructions. Thanks.
Thx buddy, But why dont you buy a new filter instead? they are like 10$ or so on Ebay or Amazon

Thanks for the video
Good information thanks
Super ! Think's to you!
Thanks!
A bit of hustle but well done 👏
And here I am thinking if I should do this or just pay $100 to have the dealer do it. You just did $100 of labor and saved $10 on a new filter :0
There is easier way to do this just found it on UA-cam
already removed the old filter, put a new one, after hitting the filter on the door, you automatically got all the dirt inside the car, doing that is same shit like re-using a condom multiple times LOL

Why would Nissan do that?? Toyota is much fucking smarter with their cabin air filter location.
Just use your door or kick panel to clean your air filter. Lol
