    Normally the technique you use to make reversible clothes is hard to follow but this video made it super clear! Having a larger workpiece definitely helped with the clarity! Great video!

    Hi why the straps in the pattern are very (xs) short compared your tutorial I’m afraid it’s gonna be short to mine? Thank you

    This is just amazing I actually bought one of your patterns! Do you if telling me what settings you use on your serger for swimwear? And also are you using spin polyester? I remember in one video u recommended wooly nylon. For some reason I can see the thread at the seams not sure what’s happening there...

    Hi Katie!! I love your tutorials! I’ve learned so much with them... since it’s so hard to find good information about sewing swimwear. I would like to ask you something. I always have trouble when I attach my straps to the shoulder because it’s kind of “bulky” in the corners when I turn it right side out... and since I can’t cut out the excess fabric, I don’t know what I might be doing wrong 😢 Is the strap smaller than the shoulder opening? I even tried leaving about an inch without elastic in the side that I sew to the shoulder, but didn’t work as I wanted. I can’t get it to look as polished as your work. Thanks for your help!!

    Where do you get your elastic from ?

    Hi Katie! Love this tutorial and swimsuit!! My name is even Sarah 😊 I am wondering why the front and back aren’t patterns that you can just cut on the fold. Is there a reason you have the full front and back in the pattern? Would it matter if I just used half of the front and half of the back and cut them on fold?

    Why are your straps and the measurements for the straps in the written instructions different sizes?

    I'm so excited to try this! i saw this in a halter .....do you have a pattern or a tutorial on how to make it a halter?

    • @EdgewaterAve
      @EdgewaterAve  4 роки тому +2

      The same pattern will work! Just instead of attaching the straps to the back, tie them in a knot around your neck. You may want to make the straps slightly longer. I've had quite a few customers make this pattern as a halter! -Katie

    Oh and also the strap is wide for 3” when to connect in the other part . So I did 1.5” instead.

    hi katie! I love your videos and just started using them to try and create my first bikini. my dad recently gifted me an amaaazing industrial overlock machine that works similar to yours (I'm still learning how to use it), I'm following all your steps and It's working perfectly... until I try to apply the elastic! I'm sooo stressed trying to do the elastic part, it's just very hard to control it so it sits perfectly along the edge of the fabric like yours (I've ruined a couple pieces already haha), do you have any tips on how to do that part a little bit easier? :/
    sorry for such a long comment, this is not my first language haha

    • @donna-mariemccoy2679
      @donna-mariemccoy2679 2 роки тому

      Hi try placing the elastic under your fabric if its industrial rather than above your fabric

    • @jucijuicy
      @jucijuicy 2 роки тому

      @@donna-mariemccoy2679 oooh I haven't tried that! it's been a while and I got better at it but I still struggle A LOT with elastic so I'm gonna try that, thanks!
