I love the one piece. Your tutorials are always clear concise and congrats on the launch of the one piece. You are my fav bathing suit pattern designer
I’ve watched many of your videos, some many times over. Thank you for giving me the confidence to create some really awesome swim suits. I’ve made 2 bikinis for my grand daughters and now a very nice one piece for my daughter which again after watching your videos, I was able to collaborate from 2 separate suits that she liked certain features from to create this one piece. I’m thoroughly enjoying the process. You’ve done very well. Keep up the videos. By the way, they love their suits.
I loove your tutorials! Here’s a swimsuit I made for my 19 month old from a pattern I drafted and followed your tutorial! And my poppy matching one is in progress!
LOVE these videos, thank you so much! I have a question, is there a reason for stitching first then going back over the seam to add the elastic? Is there any reason not to do it all in one step? Thank you!
I love this one, I just bought it online. Do you not include the 1/4inseam allowance with the printed pattern? is that what I am doing wrong... I thought the 1/4 inch seam allowance was already in the printed S/M/L sizes that I am printing, please confirm???
Seam allowance is now included in the pattern! Many of my videos were recorded awhile ago, and I've since updated the patterns to include seam allowance. So always go with what the pattern says!
Hello I am confused on when you put the tag, since if it’s reversible would you still be able to use both sides or would one side be visible with the tag?
I love the swimsuit you did great it fit you so nice. You have to make one for me ooooo just kiding. Am going and buy cloth to make it. Keep up the great job❤❤❤❤1
I tried to make this but when it came to sandwiching the pieces inside each other - I found it very confusing and it didn't come out all that great. Is there an alternative way to sew?
Can I ask what would happen if you skipped the elastic? Like if the fabric is stretchy and tight enough, would it stay? I want mine to fit like seamless undergarments, but double layered like what you made here.
The seams may not hold against your body like intended, so there could be some gapping. It will also feel looser overall. It definitely will have more of a seamless feel but I'd be super careful about going in the water with it! It's worth a try making one with elastic and one without so you can decide what works best for you!
DONT THROW FABRIC AND USE NESTING SOFTWARE INSTEAD, nesting programs are used for CNC cutting machines but can be used as well for pattern hand cutting
Depends on what you prefer! My patterns are able to be printed right at home. They come in pieces that are able to be printed onto regular computer paper, then they are cut and taped together. If you prefer to have the professionally printed, you might want to try a PDF plotting service, or possibly look into a local FedEx office or OfficeMax (or a similar office supply store)

how many yards of fabric do you need in each color?
You absolutely nailed it! I wanted to make one for myself this summer and I was afraid it would be too difficult, but you make it seem so easy!
This is one of the best and more helpful tutorials i've ever seen, i'll try it for sure!

For a minute I was afraid this one wouldnt be seamless but I was wrong. Loved it again!!
Hi! Can’t wait to try it! could I do this without elastic? What are your thoughts?
I loove your tutorials! Here’s a swimsuit I made for my 19 month old from a pattern I drafted and followed your tutorial! And my poppy matching one is in progress!
Are you using a normal stitch on your serger? Could I use a zig zag stitch instead? Thanks for the video😘
Love love love!
Thanks for this video I was really struggling to figure out the stitching for swimwear thanks to ton this helped me to complete my assignments on time
This tutorial couldn't have been any easier! Love the swimsuit style! Thanks for sharing!
You are awesome Katie ! Love your tutorials and the swimsuit !

You made this look so easy! Thank you for this video! I am going to try your method! I am subscribing to your channel!
Love this suit😍😍
How you prevent the elastic from shifting?
@@EdgewaterAve both actually
The elastic keeps shifting under the presser foot and once sewn it rolls over
@@EdgewaterAve thank you 😊
You are my new best friend I love what you doing ! Simpler and precise! Thank you
Wow, thank you!
This is gorgeous
Beautiful
Love this video! How much yards of fabric do you think we'll need in total? Is it 1 yard for each colour including and the liner?
Thank you for your video. I've tried to sew my swimsuit and it is so easy and cool :) regards from Turkey
Awesome one piece! 😍 where do you get your lining fabric from?
I don't own or know how to use a sewing machine but this tutorial made me subscribe 🤭

Hey Katie. Could you post a link for the rubber elastic that you used plz? Tfs!
Cute!

LOVE IT! You did ur thing!
I tried to make this but when it came to sandwiching the pieces inside each other - I found it very confusing and it didn't come out all that great. Is there an alternative way to sew?
How did you attach the elastic with the sergre? I'm new on the sewing world
I am new to your channel, excellent tutorials!!!
Welcome! Glad you're enjoying them!
you are amazing and helped me so much! thank you
But how long did u cut ur elastic? 1 to 1 or did u make it 1” shorter than the seam?
When do you put the elastc?
Quero agradecer muito... amei seu vídeo! Procurei muito tempo tempo por modelos dupla face. Obrigada!
Thanks for this tutorial!
Very nice and good fit
Thanks for sharing Would have liked to see the inside though
Hi, just wondering what the software you're using right at the start is called? Thanks!
I love thisssss!!!
I love this suit but I prefer full butt coverage. Is there a pattern that I can adapt for my needs?

Me encantan tus videos!!

If i am using a regular domestic machine do i need to first sew regular seam and then zigzag or directly zigzag stitch the seams. Thanks
sew directly zigzag stitch on seams - this way they can stretch
this is lush amazing
Do we need to use special thread? Never made a swimsuit
No special thread needed, a high quality polyester thread is fine!
I love your videos. Congratulations and success. Kiss. Brazil
Really cool video! Could you maybe make a tutorial on how to do that entirely with a sewing machine and without a serger please? 😄
I have one on my channel! ua-cam.com/video/jwIJd0rT7qk/v-deo.html
I'm very new to tis, where would be a good place to get patterns printed an what kind of paper should they be printed on
Depends on what you prefer! My patterns are able to be printed right at home. They come in pieces that are able to be printed onto regular computer paper, then they are cut and taped together. How do I do the seams if I don’t own a serger? Do I fold it over when placing the elastic. I’m a beginner.
Use a zig zag stitch instead of an overlock!
What brand is your server?
I loved the swimsuit
You said in the beginning “right side to right side” is that what you meant?
Right sides together!
Is there a reason you don't fold the pattern and cut on the fold?
To prevent waste! I try to make as much use with the fabric as possible, and I find that I produce more waste cutting on the fold.
@@EdgewaterAve So true! okay thanks :) I just didn't want it to be uneven haha
How do you know how much to stretch the elastic?
She said in other videos that she doesn't stretch it
@@EdgewaterAve How come you don't stretch the elastic?
Don't add music please
good method for an all in one swim suit but the video was to fast. Had to watch several times to get the technique
