Thats pretty good for 3 months. You have all the fundamentals covered. With the crab scratch, it kinda sounds like your crossfader needs to be at a sharper setting... your technique is great.
Hood Pass Level achieved. Woah man. You're good. As you were explaining each trick I was like meh, but then you strung them together and I started Breakdancing. I don't know what you did but you had me poppin n lockin. Ffffresh! 👽👍
A scratch course is something I've got lined up for a future lesson. There are some tweaks to the crossfader setting in Serato which makes things ideal for scratching
Great video and yes thank you very much for going against the grain and letting us know everyone struggles and everyone starts some where. Keep up the awesome video’s!💯🔥
I always find your vids interesting even if I'm not doing those things myself. Looks like you've made loads of progress in 3 months. Perhaps you could tell my students that sometimes hard work is the only way to success!
Are you right-handed or left-handed? Been using my dominant hand (right) on the platter while using my non-dominant on the crossfade. Which hand should be used on the platter and crossfade?
That’s specific sample is all Over the internet. It’s probably the most popular one. I have about 5 different copies from different places. I give it away free in my video. Your first scratch lesson
You know what you’re missing here is that the “chirp” is really the foundation for all these other scratches. Everything starts and returns to the chirp
Awesome lesson Bro :) im using different Controller but i think this is not a big problem :D i will scratch whole evening untill my landlord start screaming ;D

Yoooo, sounds crazy man!!! Maybey one tip: the sound of your decks is very loud against your mic. Sick vid man, you deserve my sub!!!
Enjoyable vid dude! You can do 2 twiddle scratches instead of the 1 crab movement and still get the 4 sounds btw. It's a good little cheat.
Was looking for a skill to pick up this year, this could be it.
This is what i can't for DJing until now but i keep learning since 2019
Once again thx a lot PH😁 it means a lot to me 🖤💙❤ cheers from Bali🍻
you are doing a lot better than me, I suck at it, good luck keep it up.
The "broken baby" is called a tear scratch, the "crossfader cut" is a forward/release
You are so huge inspiration for me.
This helps a lot thanks Phil
Man scratching will be soo cool when I can so it.

Your progressing well Phil. One question, where did you get that specific scratch sample?

Alright so six months later where you at?!!!!!!
Dam, the crab is sick!!!
Dude , that crab one sounds damn cool .
Try practicing your crab in hamster (reverse crossfader), you'll it's easier to start in the open position and get that 1 extra sound in your crab
nice...when will your course be ready?
I would say a month or two :) I want to be perfect first
Man that's cool !
You know what you’re missing here is that the “chirp” is really the foundation for all these other scratches. Everything starts and returns to the chirp
When do you think your scratching tutorial series will be done?
Literally next week
@@DJPhilHarris nice, look forward to it.
Can you please share your scratch DJ course?
Awesome lesson Bro :) im using different Controller but i think this is not a big problem :D i will scratch whole evening untill my landlord start screaming ;D

I've been DJ'ing for 17 years and can't get into scratching. I'm too left handed.
Lefty gang
@@hudzy2985 oh, I'm not a native English speaker. I'm not left-handed, I meant that I 'have two left hands' or clumsy. 🤦🏼♂️ woops
@@IanDeVos ohhhh ok
@Ian De Vos when people can’t dance, they say they have 2 left feet!
@@lustforlow-end6022 they do?
beard fits well, :p
