it's more like 2 vids a week on there, its not dead but just nothing like it used to be. i stopped watching a few months back and now only follow this, the smoking tire, MT and EVO.
Since /Drive went MERCENARY MODE, anything is better than them... And now that Chris is making his independent videos, there's no reason to go back there. We only need Mike Musto to do the same!
Chris could easily charge 4$ a month and I'd pay for it if it meant more videos! The content he makes is so much more emotionally charged and i think everyone agrees that us gear heads connect with him so much more than any other host on drive, or even motor trend. So happy he made his own channel again. Thank you!!
When it comes down to it, regardless of the personalities, the length/frequency of content, the production quality, etc., what /DRIVE lacks is someone who can DRIVE! At the end of the day when I get on UA-cam, I want to watch cool cars being driven at the limit, and that's why I come to this channel.
Since Top Gear is for literaly everyone it is not really for petrol heads. People like Chris Harris should stay away. Let drivers drive and comedians do the comedy.
In case some of you didn't know why he is so familiar with the 997 Cup car is because he's a driver for one of the teams. there was a big and long battle at Le Mans.
It always amazes me what a potent car the 911 is. Even though everything about it is "wrong", you can do so much with it and it never fails to deliver. Racing? No problem. Rallying? There you go. Drifting? Yes, thank you. It's an iconic car. I've been a fan of it since I was a kid and it's still close to my heart. Thank you Mister Chris Harris
That was worth the wait. I may have even cried a little bit. Those were most beautiful sounds a flat 6 Porsche has made in decades. The wail of the engine, the gearbox, the gravel on the chassis...I'll sleep well tonight having see and heard this.
This is why I think rally is the best motorsport. It's a precision sport but with a significant mix of grace in it, like fencing combined with ballet, with a handful of childish playing-with-mud mentality sprinkled on top. Also, that three mud-shot in the end there is perfect.
Screw Clarkson, Hammond and May, I think you are the best car journalist out there Chris, I love your videos, keep them coming! Btw. Greetings from Germany :)
I have to agree with Atomic Punk, give Chris Harris his own show. His videos are the best, and his personality as well as his passion for motorsports is unmatched! Keep the videos coming Chris. We'll keep watching them!👍
This video shouldn't of ended! The sound of the thing is fantastic. Saw an article on it in evo but watching a video is just 10x better. Another great video Sir Harris, keep it up!
I'm not sure if I blinked, remembered to breathe or moved. I was so taken by this film, the idea behind the car and the sounds of the engine, gearbox and input/output of the car. Perfect, thanks Chris and co.
Zero to 100,000 subscribers in a matter of months and well on the way towards a million; a testament to the brilliance of Chris Harris. Keep at it Chris, really appreciate the EPIC content you consistently deliver!
*I am lacking words to express my happiness about this video. What an amazing car and sound and what a big stack of driving skills. Thank you again fro creating this channel and leaving Drive.*
Chris Harris is so talented at making every car review so much more emotional and real. Its hard not to get excited whenever he gets on the wheel. Aside from that is his humbleness knowing he's a race car driver, that to me earns him mad respect. This channel was one of the easiest to subscribe to.
A girl broke my heart today, but now that im watching this I feel a bit better. Thanks for the awesome video's Chris and Neil. You chaps truly are the best at what you do!!
Dear Fellow AdBlockers !!!! Several easy steps by all of could help Chris&Co : AdBlock >> Options >> Allow whitelisting of specific UA-cam channels Then go to Chris' channel and whitelist. It's the least we could do to support his great work.
Thanks so much for this, Chris and Neil. What a joy, well done. I had to watch the second half of the video again with my eyes closed. The sound is just something else. Brilliant. To all the people with lots of money and a passion for motorsports: We need more of these cars!
Magical, especially for us who missed the real 911 rally era. Good work Chris and the rest of the crew aswell! This is what I need to see while the cayman is resting for the winter!
Jeeze - Chris does give it the full beans. I was watching this video with heart in mouth thinking please don't ditch it. Full credit to him and his rather large and rock solid balls.
this makes me realize how amazing rally drivers are... chris posted a time in another video where he was only like 3 seconds behind a pro driver in the same car. Yet here it looks like he's actually having to hold back a bit because the car is just a beast. I mean, ya he doesn't want to crash it, but his eyes tell me that he's terrified and exited at the same time. like a kid on a rollercoaster for the first time. 10/10 video guys. well done.
Food for thought.I'd love to hear and see that shape on a wet misty welsh stage, easily the most charismatic of rally cars-an awsome idea.Stunning photography as ever Harris.
As amazing as Chris is at drifting and taking us on a journey with him, whoever was working that drone for the epic shots contributed as big a part of the enjoyment of this video for me! If it wasn't Neil on that drone, his editing is just so synergistic with Chris's style. Absolutely top notch job, the lot of you!
Chris Harris! Your love and passion of unique cars like the Tuthill Porsche is entoxicating. This test is a masterpiece, because it caught you by the heart. Credit to the photographer, and keep your tech talks. We want to know! Well done!
Harris your driving inspires me, your friend Neil did an amazing job capturing the best drive you have had to date. What images! What sounds! If you guys are a two man team as other videos would suggest, then I salute your skills and work ethic.
Gobsmacked. Amazing car. Another awesome video. Thankyou thankyou thankyou. Only you Chris as an automotive journalist have the gift to get across on film just what it is like to be in the driving seat. Top Gear doesn't come close. Keep it up. We love it
GOD DAMN IT. This is why I happily support Chris on Patreon with my eyes closed! JEEZZZUSSS. Amazing amazing stuff. Thanks again Chris and Co. for your commitment to the viewers and for cranking out quality content.
ivanovsd There has never been a dedicated Porsche competition rally car. The 911 is the perfect rally car body it is light, small, stiff and perfect for modification.
bighands69 You won't get an argument that it's a great race car, but the perfect car for rally it is not. There's a lot of perks to NOT having the engine in the rear for rally.
Phenomenal - this represents my new #1-I-wish-I-could-drive-that car envy experience. The sequential shifter is so incredibly fast... ohh and the sounds... thank you for this Chris Harris on Cars
Gorgeous cinematography! What a truly fantastic feeling it must be to drive in those conditions. I hope to experience that one day. Just breathe taking.
Awesome video Chris! Thanks!!! The car is outrageous; the driving is exceptional and the videography just took another major step forward! The shots from the drone with the wind generators in the background are stunningly beautiful. Just wow! Thanks again!!!
Superb film Chris, congrats to you and your team. Those aerial shots combined with the noise inside the cabin was just viewing bliss. I'm excited to see more!
Dukes of Hazzard with Chris Harris! Start AC/DC's "Let There Be Rock" at exactly 6:02 and watch a fantastic rock music video. Don't mute the video, as the commentary fits perfectly. Enjoy.
and I thought Porsches or Porsche supercup cars sounded great. with the constant blipping of the throttle the thing is an eargasm. ace video Sir Harris.
Awesome noise! Loving all of the multirotor camera shots, they add some exciting new angles to these videos that keep them looking fresh. Keep it up chaps, more please!
Another wonderful video Chris. Presentation and editing style was spot on as always. Gotta say, your enthusiasm for driving seems to be infectious; I've been riding bikes for 6 years and never really thought about owning a car. Bought my first one in October and have ended up using it more than my current CBR600. It's not the tidiest nor is it the fastest but it's brilliant and fun and a riot to drive. Thank you for the effort you're putting in. Long may you carry on and if you're ever in Devon, give me a shout!
My jaw is still on the floor, OMG I loved every minute of that, I own a Gt3 Gen2, I couldn't even dream of slinging it around like that, awesome driving Chris, fantastic video.!
Hey Chris ... thats great video ! I saw this Porsche RGT and behind the wheel was Harri Toivonen. It was unbelievable ... so much power ... so much emotions ! Thanks for these nice shots.
This is one of your best videos yet. Just outstanding. And the credits are very classy. I feel like this work belongs in a cinema. But what an awesome machine. I'd like to see a WRC R35 GT-R next.
this channel is better than drive
I think many people were on Drive mostly because of Chris (myself included) ...
i really like the drive channel like a year and half ago. now on that channel they post like a video a mont. the channel looks dead
Yep, and if Tuned went in the same direction as Chris there'd be no reason to watch Drive (Big Muscle is decent though too I guess).
it's more like 2 vids a week on there, its not dead but just nothing like it used to be. i stopped watching a few months back and now only follow this, the smoking tire, MT and EVO.

***** Good to know!! Thanks!!!
***** I am still a fan of drive, and pay for drive+. but id much rather pay for chris's videos.
***** That's not as good of an idea as it sounds, though I understand the sentiment
Please don't give this idea to Chris
You can donate to Chris via his Patreon page, if you like his work: www.patreon.com/user?u=401656

Well said sir. No one can spank super cars like Chris. I wish I had the balls to drive $1M car and drift it at 160KM while laughing.
Chris Harris is fucking great, he should be on Top Gear!
Top Gear is awesome and so is Chris Harris, I think we are better of if it stays like this
Top gear is crap. Chris Harris is not. That is why he is not on top gear. Roadkill would be interesting though....
Since Top Gear is for literaly everyone it is not really for petrol heads. People like Chris Harris should stay away. Let drivers drive and comedians do the comedy.
He likes Porsche just not the 911
Fifth Gear, perhaps..??
In case some of you didn't know why he is so familiar with the 997 Cup car is because he's a driver for one of the teams. there was a big and long battle at Le Mans.
that's what she said
*****
lol just joking, nevermind
robowizful I wish that's what she said :'(
***** yeah, kid is so high on hormones that "big and long battle" felt to him like an innuendo
***** Good question. Time for me to be creepy at work.
Epic shot at 8.54,neil is doing you proud.
8:54
Was that a drone or a crane?
darek4488 Drone. Some epic shooting in it. The wind turbine slowly spinning. He went pretty close to hitting the drone at one point..
they are a great team.
It always amazes me what a potent car the 911 is. Even though everything about it is "wrong", you can do so much with it and it never fails to deliver. Racing? No problem. Rallying? There you go. Drifting? Yes, thank you.

Thank you Mister Chris Harris
10:05 - WHAT a shot. Car rotating, lights rotating, car aligns with the lights for a second... perfect.
Thnx for going through such hardship for us Chris... yea, right... The cameraman sloshing around in that mud, HIS hardship's what I'm thankful for :D
That was worth the wait. I may have even cried a little bit. Those were most beautiful sounds a flat 6 Porsche has made in decades. The wail of the engine, the gearbox, the gravel on the chassis...I'll sleep well tonight having see and heard this.

150km through the trees at one point, absolutely MAD.
It that 150kph or 150mph? You can see the number at 9:22
That's why it needed a whole new roll cage to comply with WRC regulations xD
Why always u see a Chris Harris videos there is NO Dislikes or very very few... People respect and.like this man. Cheers

At 8:11 "this is the coolest car I've driven this year" uh yeah... it's only January Chris.
He later said in the past twelve months though.
Description says this was filmed in December. "December in Wales..."
Tool listen to wat he says it was December
Why do you assume it was filmed this month given the video description reads "December in Wales..."?
This isn't a live stream dude.
I bet the list of journalists who he'd let drive that car is a very short one. Chris didn't hold much back there. Awesome car and awesome video.
Neil is doing a bang-up job on the production side. Pay that guy more, these shots are gorgeous.
150kmh in a Porsche RGT through a forrest on a muddy road! Chris your nuts and a joy to listen to. We love you.
***** Right. Not sure what I was thinking when I wrote it anyways. still aplies.

Dear Mr. Harris,

Thank you Chris!
GOD DAMN IT. This is why I happily support Chris on Patreon with my eyes closed! JEEZZZUSSS. Amazing amazing stuff. Thanks again Chris and Co. for your commitment to the viewers and for cranking out quality content.
The 911 is the best car for racing. Wins in everything from Le Mans, to Dakar, to rally.
But I will say this, the Brakimghini is cooler.
Rally?
ivanovsd What about it?

By far this is one of the best videos I've watched in 2015.
I love those closing shots with the caked on mud. That's what a good day of rally looks like when you are done. Great video, thanks!
Astonishing!!! And those shots at the very end really gave it to me :D
Great car, great presenter, great photography. What more could anyone want.
Great video, camera work was great too, really conveying the speed of the thing, driving on what must feel like sheet ice!! Great work!
Awesome noise!

Cracking video - great to see Porsche back rallying
Hey Chris ... thats great video ! I saw this Porsche RGT and behind the wheel was Harri Toivonen. It was unbelievable ... so much power ... so much emotions ! Thanks for these nice shots.
continually raising the bar on production value. great video. great car.
Wow, great video Chris, some awesome shots in this one!
