How to Make Bubble Bath Flowers With Only 6 Ingredients

- These flowers are amazing; a few flowers filled my entire tub with bubbles!!! This recipe is simple; 3 dry & 3 wet ingredients. Use recipe for any solid bubble bath shapes; hearts, snowflakes, ornaments.
RECIPE: 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, 1/8 cup cream of tartar, 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) fragrance oil, 2 tablespoons (10 milliliters) liquid bubble bath, 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) polysorbate 80.
DOUGH: Mix wet & dry ingredients together & knead the dough well. At first it’s very wet & sticky but after about 2 minutes, the dough starts pulling itself together. Once mixed, form a ball in your hand. Coat the dough ball, rolling pin, & paper with corn starch * I used mica here because I didn't like the way the corn starch left white residue all over. Place dough on paper & flatten it with your hand. Make dough flat, even & mend any cracks. Add more mica/starch before rolling. Roll gently. ** Do not apply weight/pressure to rolling pin; allow the pin & gravity to do the work for you!!! Make sure the dough isn’t sticking to the paper; check dough & sprinkle corn starch/mica underneath periodically! Once dough is rolled out to desired thickness, use a stamp/plunger or cookie cutter & cut out shapes. Cure shapes for 24 hours. Leave them on the table, unwrapped! ** Don’t mess with them before they are cured (they're fragile). NOTES: If dough forms numerous cracks & seems "crumbly", its either too dry (add more liquid bubble bath) or you’re working the dough too much/fast. **As you’re working, the dough will eventually dry out little by little so be prepared to wet it again periodically with liquid bubble bath. *Again, add a little bit at a time, kneading the dough after each addition until the dough is workable again. ** The dough can be fussy; it can be too wet & stick to everything or too dry and crumble to pieces. But it's easy to fix! Too dry: Add liquid bubble bath, little by little until its right. Too wet: Add a bit of baking soda a little at a time until its right. *** Left over dough can be re-rolled & used to cut out more shapes or stored away for another future use (in the near future). RESULTS: The bubbles were great & they smelt amazing! I was very surprised at how little it took to fill my tub. They were the high quality buildable bubbles that you can stack on top each other!

What can i use as a subtitute for the bubble bath. Just curious. TY these are so cute. Definately adding them to my store.
Liquid surfactant
Love this! Is there anything I can use instead of SLSA?
Any surfactant like SLS, SCI, etc.
These are adorable, did I hear you say before that you have a Facebook group? The stuff you make is amazing thanks for giving me Inspiration, I hope to be as talented as you.
A Facebook page, creative bath lab!
@@CreativeBathLab thanks so much will definitely look it up. 😊
Omg I love these! New sub after seeing this beautiful creation.. Do you think you could use Cocamidopropyl Betaine instead of the bubble bath? I may have to try this! Thanks for the video ✌🏼❤
Well thank you, I appreciate it. I’m a huge fan of coco betaine as well & u can use it but you’re not going to get the same amount of bubbles as u would using bubble bath
@@CreativeBathLab I will have to look into that. Thank you so much! 🥰
You’re very welcome 😉
Can I use Castile liquid soap instead of bubble bath? Thanks for tutorial
Absolutely
I LOVE UR RECIPE 💗 AND I MADE THIS ONE BUT I THINK I MADE SOMETHING WRONG CAUSE IT NOT MADE ALL THIS BUBBLES LIKE THE VIDEO I USE MR BUBBLE BATH LIQUID WHICH ONE CAN I USE?
Anyone should work!
Dora can I borrow your brains please, you are just so amazing.
ps: I tried to make your powdered bubble bath yesterday and I messed up so bad I cried but I'm going to let it dry and see if I can salvage it. but I'm learning a lot from you as I'm trying to start my own little store with these ideas
You can do it!
Hi teacher! One question what is shelf life on these soaps? Kathy from Cali😎
1 year Kathy from Cali
Bonjour, est-ce que le mica laisse des traces tout autour du bain?
Si vous utilisez un émulsifiant comme le polysorbate 80 alors non !
These are gorgeous Dota! When you mention liquid bubble bath in your recipes, do you just mean the premsde stuff from the supermarket?
Yep!
@@CreativeBathLab oh too easy then, thank you for your reply and awesome videos, your projects are really inspiring 😀 Love how you go from supplies all the way to packaging ideas too, really unique ❤️
Thanks a lot! Can I use cocobetaine as liquid ?
For sure
@@CreativeBathLab Great! Thank you!
Is there an ultra gentle surfactant that you could recommend?
To be honest, they all feel the same to me... However, I suppose according to user reviews, coco betaine seems to be the most gentle & effective at the same time. Gaming Kat, what is that picture? Every time I reply to you, I'm up close in my computers face, STARING at that small ass circular picture... trying to figure out what it is... a Barbie? lol its cute, just curious!
@@CreativeBathLab lol! My picture is actually from a game called The Sims 4. She's my self-sim, or a character made to look like me as much as the game mechanics will allow. I used to post let's play videos on my channel, before I had children.
I'll have to look into coco betaine. I don't know if I've tried products with that in them. I can say that my skin has felt a difference between some surfactants, they can be pretty harsh.
would using regular micas stain the tub?
not in my experience, no
Ours were too soft. Would you they harden overnight.
they get harder with time
Can you just add it into molds instead of rolling it out?
I don't know if I'm just really tired But, I'm sitting here pondering this question & wondering if this is possible and I honestly don't know..... If it is, I am going to feel like the dumbest person on the planet!!!! So the reason I roll it out is to cut it out & then I put the cut out in the mold to emboss.... I honestly don't know & my head hurts from thinking about this, but Ill get back with you!! BC now I am REALLY curious, too!!! lmao
Hi Dora what liquid bubble bath do you use
Linked in description!
I used cornstarch instead and my bar turned into something like oobleck and took days to dry and when I used cream of tartar it kept expanding in its own and never dried. Any tips on how to fix the batter if you mess up as bad as I did?🤧
Girl no! Lol, sorry! Expanding? Did u add citric acid? That should definitely not happen. You can add less wet for sure if it’s not drying
@@CreativeBathLab I did use citric acid, but I think where I went wrong was using bubble bath base…I’m still learning so maybe the bubble bath base messed it up. I tried to add more dry and it was a mess😂 I used a dried one from this batch and it left so much cornstarch in the tub and didn’t have much bubbles sadly
Nope, it’s caused you used citric acid!!!!! You can’t use that when making bubble bath flowers or shapes!!!
@@CreativeBathLab oh my….I’m going to try your recipe WITHOUT the citric acid and I hope it works 😩 wish me luck
My recipe doesn’t have citric acid! lol
Do these dry hard?
Yes fairly hard, not indestructible rock hard, but hard! They still crumble under water, but that's with me forcefully crumbling them. Its hard to explain! lol
@@CreativeBathLab good enough. Thank you for sharing.
Np 😉
