I then downloaded the 9 position for the 737 and the printing was terrible. I tried a second time with the same result. Anyone else having similar problems with this file. I was trying to use ECO-ABS and it seems, a little...brittle and "whitish"?... it's hard to carve out the hole structure that slips onto the levers. Before I invest in a new spool of Black PLA, tho, i wanted to know if this is what most people are using? (PLA, that is...)... Thank you!
I think PLA is probably the easiest to work with and it has very little shrinkage so the dimensions usually are a great fit. ABS has the tendency to shrink and needs to be adjusted dimensionally to end up with the correct size to fit the openings on the honeycomb Bravo.
@@rbarlow thanks...I built with both, and can definitely vouch for PLA too after carefully working with both of them. the ECO ABS fits too tightly and I always have to dig out more room for the bravo handles...
I think the orientation may be the issue. I found it best to print with the top of the throttle on the printer surface and the shaft vertical. That way there is very little support required and there is no support inside the shaft where the throttle slides onto the Honeycomb stub. That was best for me. I can't remember how the model was oriented but pretty sure it wasn't upside down and vertical. Happy New Year.

I worry about buying the honeycomb throttles because of reports of wires breaking inside and the Logitech throttles seem a little more compact on the desk as well. Any feedback on Logitech throttles would be greatly appreciated.
No real comparison. The Logitech have no friction adjustment and are very loose. I used them for years but Bravo is better feeling, has twice as many axes, and the gear, flaps, and other switches are a nice addition. First I’ve heard of the wire issue but mine is fine.
Hi Russ, I was curious to know from your flight sim with the two 15.6 inch touch screen monitors with knobster and where you created the flap and landing gear and parking brake, did you use your 3D printer to create not on the knob, gear handle and flap lever, but did the 3D printer create the black faceplate with the white lettering also? Thanks for the info.
I printed the black layer with the cut outs for the letters and then switched filament to white to print the rest of the layers. It was kind of a pain but it did work.

My public library does 3D printing. Due to a community grant it is even free while funds last. For those without their own 3D printer, might be a good place to check out.

Then you can link their theft of your product and alert people not to buy from them. What an unscrupulous company. I actually looked at some of their items, but will never buy anything from them. I liked my Cetus printer. Has linear rails and easy to set up. Check out the Cetus 3D Mark 3 …. A good first printer

Russ, do you have any tips on printing these? I loaded the Piper throttle in my slicer and I'm not sure if I need to add supports, etc.

How Did You Print On Your 3D Pieces ?
On my 3D printer. An insert takes about 1-1/2 hours. A catch 45 minutes

Cockpit PHD products low quality. I bought the 737 throttle attachments from them months ago and they showed up not even finished. Cheap plastic.
