So I'm here for a refresher after hearing everyone say how good he was. I forgot so let's see here. Playing in an era of Big Men, towering 7footers everywhere you look, this guy just BEASTED in the paint, on the low block, just somehow scoring over these giants. I saw him dunk on Ewing, he is just so STRONG. Then at the same time, he has such a soft touch with his jump shot. Can shoot the 3ball and fade from mid-range when needed. And his SPEED when taking the ball coast-to-coast is insane. What a guy.
Ya...pretty much say it all. I cannot think of any comments to add on yours... 6 ft 6 and dominate the paint. Simply amazing. Thanks for your comment, bro!
@@dkdebest He was a PF in the 1980s and your criticism is about he 3-pt efficiency. That makes zero sense. He shot .541 from the floor in his career, so his 3-pt efficiency or lack thereof didn't hurt his overall efficiency--which is higher than Magic, Larry Bird, Tim Duncan, Steph, Harden, Kobe, Kawhi, Olajuwan, KG, Dirk, and Oscar friggin Robertson, to name a few. But you probably have no idea who these players are.
He might have not won a ring. But he won my heart (as an idol and friend) with his passion for the game. I suffered similar problems than Chuck and rebounding was my only answer. Love you Chuck.
Charles was measured at 6' 4.5" coming into the NBA. But skill, strength, long arms and great two foot jumping meant he could play inside with the big boys. I remember when he was in college they interviewed his grandmother. She said they were so poor that as a child Charles had no toys to play with so he would just jump over their fence all day long and that's how he got his jumping ability.
Yep. He probably had the strongest hands of any basketball player I've seen, including Mike and Kawhi. When he went up for 2 handed dunks or to grab rebounds, there was no chance you were going to pry that ball loose. After a while folks just stopped jumping with him.
Chuck was legit 6'4.75 dominating 6'10 and up players inside. Crazy is that he wasn't really that skilled until he got to PHX. He just went up strong every single time and made his face-up Js when you backed off.
Charles Barkley was one of the best player in the NBA at time not the best player. Michael Jordan was the best player in the world at the time and it wasn't because of media hype. Nice try troll 4-6

My alltime favorite 3 players: Allen Iverson(short and skinny), Charles Barkley(short and later fat) and Reggie Miller(skinny and lanky with an unorthodox shot) By the outside appearace they should not even make the NBA, yet they are all hall of famer dominating in their field with a tough winning mentality

@@krob1957 Just a short and fat guy that emulated Chuck's game as a kid.
Philadelphia and Phoenix Charles Barkley was a phenomenal player.
Suns - MVP Barkley
Sixers - Monster Barkley

The combo of speed, bully ball, and finesse is beyond special. Man I forgot how nice he was, especially in his 20s.

Barkley had long arms, so he played like 6’8
he was 6'6

Sir Charles for a reason. GREAT NBA legend & in my opinion a lot underrated. I think some fans forgot. More analyst now, if that makes sense.... LMAO
