It's crazy the amount of money they paid back then for guys who played harder in worse conditions as far as penalties were concerned. Barkley got 2 million for 4 years. Guys who sit on the bench and never play get a million for 1 season in today's game. Lol, I love Ernie in this segment
Barkley is often overlooked because he refused to be in the 2k video games. A lot of ppl judge who the best players are by those games, these days. Plus, everyone is overlooked in the MJ era.
Barkley was super strong, that's what most people don't realize. he wasn't anywhere near the best skill level but he was one of those dudes that is just an absolute powerhourse compared to other people. Ben Wallace was like that too

Imagine Chuck as a Laker.... damn... wouldn't be considered the greatest to never win a ring if that trade goes down
All of the athletes of this era were so much more likable just as people as well as players
I think Mike dissed Chuck so much because he knew how good Chuck really was. Barkley is often referred to as one of the most efficient scorers of all-time… don’t tell me Mike doesn’t take that personally. And Barkley was that good without really working hard or taking care of himself.
God point
I know chuck dosnt have a title but dude was a complete baller ..2 gold medals a mvp best power forward to ever play the game
On of the original 50 best ever
And the best nickname ever
SIR CHARLES
Kj is the most underrated player in nba history! He should be hell of famer already! No ever mentions how great he is, when he’s one of best point guards ever
Geez Chuck was an absolute monster in the NBA! Just a total beast! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Chuck’s playoff run with the Suns was epic!
Best shit ever
I love Charles... original Dream Team member... nuff said
MJ on Charles guarding him : Everything looked technically right lol 😆 😂
He always has respect for not backing out of a fight with Shaq. If Shaq looked at me funny i'd run away as fast as i could
Say what you want! Barkley is a legend man!
Long live Sir Charles 🙏🏾
Charles Barkley one of favorite players based just on character. He would be the one person I would love to work with every day
For those of you that didn't grow up in the 90s, you missed what basketball was always meant to be. It was fun. But also some of the greatest sports ever played
Chuck lost a brother in Jordan.
Shaq lost a brother in Kobe.
Together they found a brother in each other.
I like how you worded that Rajendra & that is so true, & ironic knowing that they couldn't stand each other as competitors, but now Charles have Shaq crying laughing without even trying, & all 4 of guys on their sports show consider each other as family, brothers!
I was a huge Rocket's fan with Charles and Drexler. I loved when Chuck dumped Shaq on the floor. 😂
At this point I'm WAY more of a Barkley fan than a basketball fan.
Great words
Barkley has epic stories 😂 😂 very underrated
One of my favorite players as a kid watching basketball for the first time in the late 80s
Draymond can't hold a candle to CB34 and I'm a diehard lifelong Warriors fan....
Draymond is a completely different type of player. Charles was all about rebounding and offense. Draymond is all about orchestrating the defense.
@@chrissennfelder7249 easier to replace Draymond than Chuck. Any day.
Draymond is a role player. Sir Charles in his prime was unguardable. A perennial all star, rebounding leader,an MVP , a member of the original dream team and a hall of famer. No comparison.
Can you imagine how much more amazing he could have been if he took better care of his body?!?! Unreal natural ability.
Probably not as good 🤷🏾♂️
“Equal opportunity abuser” lmfao didn’t know David was funny like that
Had the pleasure of meeting Charles at a Resort I used to work at. Such an awesome guy! Remembered my name for the duration of his stay, which showed him as a genuine, caring dude! One of my all time favorites!
Charles is a legend among legends.
Barkley is NOT a role model
One of the best ads ever and he always did it his way #Legend
Charles was an athletic freak, the way he moved and second jumped. All at maybe 6‘5“… loved to watch him play.
Underrated player and storyteller
You know, if you really pay attention to practically every interview of M.J.
He always puts those down to whom he is talking about. Be it other players.
He is really quite physcopathic in his thinking. He doesn't seem like a very likeable person personally.
Best power forward of all time in my eyes!!!
I agree. If he was 6"10 he would be the best to ever play the game
I’m 45 I know there is Michael Jordan, Larry Bird all them older guys that I grew up with but my hands-down favorite was Charles Barkley to me the best power forward to play the game
Forget that they don't make players like Chuck anymore. They don't make people like Chuck anymore
Barkley is one of my favorite player back then! He's unstoppable in open court when he mount that rebound, get out of your way coz his going at it and will destroy you if your in his way! An undersize four with a stoke from deep and will bully you down in the post! 👊👊👊
Half way through the vid this so entertaining Charles is a good soul 💯💯
Always loved and respected CB. His skills- drive and personality demanded it.
I'm from New Zealand, but remember the Dream Team well. It was widely reported, with alot of amazement, how Charles Barkley would leave his hotel room and take in the sights like any other tourist.
It's crazy the amount of money they paid back then for guys who played harder in worse conditions as far as penalties were concerned. Barkley got 2 million for 4 years. Guys who sit on the bench and never play get a million for 1 season in today's game. Lol, I love Ernie in this segment
If you adjust for inflation, it’s about the same! But Chuck was no benchwarmer
4:00 look at the lady in the background clapping then stop mid clap as they start brawling. The expression on her face is hilarious.
Charles has Muhammad Ali’s smile and an amazing personality
Barkley is often overlooked because he refused to be in the 2k video games. A lot of ppl judge who the best players are by those games, these days. Plus, everyone is overlooked in the MJ era.
My favorite power forward
Barkley was super strong, that's what most people don't realize. he wasn't anywhere near the best skill level but he was one of those dudes that is just an absolute powerhourse compared to other people. Ben Wallace was like that too
'Sir Charles' is the Realist ever!
MJ kept Charles Barkley, Carl Malone, John Stockton, Patrick Ewing & Gary Payton all from winning championships. If he wouldn't have taken the years off, he would have kept Hakeem Olajuwan from his as well.
10000%
Zion WIlliamson got nothing on Chuck.
Of course not he can't stay healthy
At the same age Zion is a mind has been better
The Notes story 18:04 has to be the funniest thing I have seen this year I can’t lie lmfaooooo😂😂😂
People forget Charles , as many others . Got serious injury , and it has changed his game
That dude was NEVER fat. He was burly and country strong asf 💯
Thank you. Charles is my favorite
Him and Shaq relationship is epic😂😂
Watching them now on TnT, like two kids messing around, legends
The fact people think Zion is more authentic than Barkley has always seemed carzy to me. Barkley could take it off the rim and go coast to coast and dunk on the biggest player on the other team with two hands. Post game sick off the dribble monster his fade away jump shot unstoppable. Barkley game is so underrated.
Genuine is what Barkley is and that's why people love him
To the youngins who wasn't old enough to remember or witness....watching Chuck in the 80s/90s was a site to see. He was a problem out there
