Just because you can doesn’t mean you should…. The Oud is not appropriate for this piece as it diminishes what the Gymnopedie IS
_Kind_ of agree, but an interesting experiment though, and I adore the sound of the theorbo in this piece.
I don't think you realise how "eastern" both the gymnopedies and gnossiennes were supposed to sound like. The oid and the bouzouki work perfectly well for these pieces
