What one may experience is that Great Art conquers Time, while we can't. Even as we cry out to Time, 'stay', it does not stay. But in Art, Time does stay. It is not a 'becoming', it is a Being. We are a lack, we can't hold on to ourselves in the passage of Time, but Classical Art remains in its suchness. That's why people cry when seeing the Duomo or hear Satie and such. My first cell phone had a version of this song on it and i used to listen to it all the time. I’ve spent 10 years looking for it thinking it was a Nokia stock song and only just found it again yesterday. It is the single most nostalgic thing I’ve ever experienced. Such a beautiful song and it means so much to me despite just having found it again.
It does the same to me. That's why it's a masterpiece, it's a very simple bit of music and yet it evokes so much emotion in lots of people that hear it.
I cry every time I hear #1. It reminds me of my children's father and the happiness we once had. It's also what we played on our children's baby swing to get them to sleep when they were newborns. It is just so lovely and full of longing and takes me back to some of the best memories in my life. 💔😔

This is, of course, a result of my own subjective ignorance. Still, in my opinion, evoking this impression is the best justification for earning the label 'genius'.

When I hear Saties's music I feel like im one of those warm Friday evenings. And while I aprecciate the godly nature which surrounds me I watch the sun finally succumb to give space to the vast and deep purple sky. I became familiar with this music after finding a short film from 1953 on UA-cam. The film is titled "New York - 1953 / The Man: Dan Alevy". My Wife wanted to hear the music again today and all I could find were piano only versions. The film used an orchestral version like the one you have provided us. In my opinion this is the only way to truly enjoy it's beauty. Thank you, I "liked" and am now a subscriber.
Having listened to this again at a very meditative moment, I feel this interpretation of the great, mystic Gymnopédies tells the (his) story of a whole life. Our life.
I fall in love for this song listening at "Radio Cultura FM" from São Paulo - Brasil (with S because I'm brazilian). Brings me memories from a time that I never knew.

A minor correction, not meaning to undermine the whole message: Rising pH by 30% would mean that the water would become less acidic. pH is negative decimal logarithm from concentration of H+. Which means that 1 liter solution that has pH 1 contains 0.1 mol of hydrogen cations. pH 2 solution contains 0.01 mol of hydrogen cations.
