God Speed..... & God Bless Your whole Family as You start this next phase..........
Love the barn, but I think you missed one thing, GROOVED FLOORS, you should groove your floors or something for the cows so they have better traction. Gives the timid cows more confidence and cows won’t go down with the splits as often or if ever. It’s an added expense but it’s something that can’t be overlooked in my opinion.
@@rk3739 I think you are right. One of those things, that we thought, one trade person was doing it and it was actually someone else so an extra trade to call in. We decided to do a rough finish that is supposed to be good for a few years normally but since we are using the collector robot the experts thought it might last longer. We will watch carefully. Thanks for the input!
@@HollcanaFarm I see! Our heifer barn used to be smooth before we started to put dry cows on the pack. We lost 2-3 cows in a very short time. Had cows go from the tiestall back to the lose housing. And we didn’t want to loose anymore cows so we got the floors grooved by Grandview concrete grooving. It cost 1200$ but it was 1200$ well spent. We have had the floors grooved now for 4-5 years and we haven’t lost a cow since grooving them.
C'est le grand jour, vite on attend votre vidéo de la première vache dans le robot. Bonne journée et bon courage
Getting close now, and before the winter is arrived, Works so much easyer, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer

Looks like putting the collars on was the hardest part of this whole deal. When is the big day?
@@david19659 Yes, somehow I ended up doing most of it by myself. So much to do that last day!
