Old Mazdas aged really-really bad, their chassis were full of corrosion after a few years, especially if you live in a wetter climate. Chassis is probably the most expensive thing to fix nowadays because the excessive work hours needed to handle corrosion. Thats why they are considered to have no resell value, and thats why used Mazdas are cheaper than other Japanese cars.

Leasing a 2023 cx-30 turbo and biggest complaint is horrible fuel economy. Like 14L/100km which is kind of a deal breaker. Drove a mazda 3 2022 for a year and fuel consumption was better but ride was bumpy due to low profile tires. However, cx-30 makes it up on lower insurance. Other than this, they are very stylish cars with semi luxury interiors and handle amazing. Love the HUD and 360 surround cameras with wide angle front and reverse views. No other cars in the same class have them. Cameras a must for cx-30 due to low visibility out the back.

A week ago I traded in my 16' Kia Forte and purchased a '23 Mazda3 hatchback with a little over 17K miles on it in the, uh, "S" select trim I believe? Got it for $21.5K OTD and frankly have zero complaints with my choice. I'm averaging a little over 38MPG with my commuting to work. It's also the non turbo and just FWD, which I purposely avoided the turbo and all that for the reasons Scotty mentioned. It honestly looks and feels like a car that should be at a much higher price point. Overall I'm eager to see how this vehicle does in the years to come.

I had a 1989 323 hatchback base model with 4-speed automatic (my first new car, $6900.00 on sale, how times have changed). I had it for 7 years and about 91k miles. It was very reliable, and I had no problems with the transmission at all.

I had a 2018 Mazda 3, I loved it. When I was shopping for new cars though I had to steer away because they took away the 2.0liter engine. Now they only have the 2.5liter and they get horrible gas mileage. They’re steering away from being efficient daily drivers and now they’re going for luxury and sport handling. If they ever go back, I’d love to drive a Mazda again.

Just over a year with my 2017 Mazda 6, I love it! I drive state to state quite often and I’ve put 40,000 miles on my car since I picked it up. Not one engine light has come on yet (knocking on wood) and although I drive like a maniac I get great gas mileage! (Up to 45 mpg on the interstate). Mine is front wheel drive and being a 6 it has a longer wheelbase. Very comfortable car, smooth ride and soft interior, great sound system, it has excellent handling, and a great aftermarket for those who can’t help but get their hands on a wrench.

Mazda does not want to take care of this, so I will be reporting them to the BBB and Consumer Reports. My car is not even out of the warranty period.
