A little late to the party but as others have said, the flight through the blossom tree is just incredible. Mad control through the canopy. I honestly cannot think of another machine that could capture this footage besides a drone. They certainly bring a unique perspective to the world. I totally love it. Very nicely done ending.
@@MagicFPV hello mate. Could you Please let me know the fpv kit setup you use on your drone for camera, transmitter, receiver and googles plus antennas and battery packs so I can buy exactly same or similar as I am really confused with this topic and more I search on eBay than more I am confused. I try to learn all these quick but this is a lot of info and everything has been changing constantly over years so some YT info are not up to date. I wanted to attach fpv camera to my RTF drone with good antennas and either receive video onto smartphone receiver for Android to use with vr googles or to buy decent analog googles to use with the setup. I know that cameras vary and good antennas are pagoda or circular polarization antennas and for distance good to combine it with patch antenas but I good quite large drone to put decent camera with transmitter plus small lipo 7.4v on it and want to get it on smartphone vr or analog Googles. Will you help me.?
Artur Wiktorski it’s confusing isn’t it! I would recommend any of the gear here: Amazon.co.uk/shop/MagicFPV or maybe just go with the pre made CineWhoop I mention in this video, which you can get here: www.hglrc.com/?ref=l80eanascup ... I would recommend trying to get a pair of Fatshark video goggles if you have the budget for them. I have a ‘What’s in the bag’ video where I explain all my FPV gear. It’s a bit long and could do with an update but is still totally relevant (I’m flying the same stuff now). You can see that video here: m.ua-cam.com/video/9LHPYmHWQOs/v-deo.html ... Hope that helps, and good luck! 🙂
The purpose of ducts (other than protection) is that it slows the whoop down when you let off pitch unlike an open prop drone. Its more controllable if you are closely following something at a slower pace. So its not that it handles worse, it just handles different because it is used for a different purpose than a normal drone.
I love your videos dude!! Your channel is soo underrated. When/if I get more popular I will make your channel bigger because you inspired me to fpv drones.
There are ways to reduce propeller noise. 1blade and it tip design. 2. Counter rotation with differential diameters, pitches. 3. Lining ducts with vortex generators. The keys to this problem are handled in computer cooling fans and in and adjacent odd part of GA with the PPG. One off the quietest props made was ParaJet scimpter (curved) One iteration also had the curled tips now scene on most commercial aircraft wings. The military microdrone that is use for near silent recon is a good place to glean. Experimenting and testing.
Tornero40 it’s a little bit to do with equipment and PIDs but basically I just run a totally flat camera angle, and try to make very small precise stick movements on the radio. You’d be surprised how many ‘bird paths’ there are through trees... I just went for it and it was there! 🌸 🐦 🌸
I'm rather enamored with your flight vid. The ending scene along with your choice of music...Well... What can one say?... Brilliant. Thanks for your contribution.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed that... I kinda wished I'd put it in a stand alone flight edit, so I'm glad you stayed until the end 🙂 Can't wait for the spring blossom to return!
What about Cinewhoops with split cameras ? Where are they placed by your opinion ? I have two a mobula 7 hd and Larva x hd . The cine footage is good but the fpv is much to be desired
Ben Foong great question. I think the absolute best HD you can get in this size category is from a GoPro Hero but the advantage of the Split Cameras and DJI cameras is that you can go even smaller! Noise problem solved huh! If you run something like the Caddx Vista you can get a better fpv experience too
Nice vid, and so true about the sound! I'd say ducts are better than the enclosed prop guards for sure. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the Cinerat, and seeing what the efficiency is like compared to ducted.
I would love to start doing indoor Real Estate videos ...... What gear would you guys recommend for that? Needs to be able to get high quality video recordings.... thanks
I would definitely recommend the gear in this video. If you’re new to it, I’d go with a pre build like the Veyron 3 (link in description) but if you know what you’re doing a lot of people are saying that the Beta95 with a stripped down GoPro is the way to go
I'm flying the cinerat now but with a 4s setup. But it has bobbles really bad just flying strait. Almost like jello. I probably need 6s to have more authority. That's my guess. And they made props with more blades , they are alot quieter and more efficient. I kinda like the hex but heard good things about the ones with even more blades.
Yeah I have some 5 blade HQ props but haven't tried them yet as I'm flying the BetaFPV 95X at the moment. I had some good PIDs for the Cinerat. Try- ROLL: P75 I85 D29, PITCH: P71 I90 D27, and YAW: P87 I90
Good question. If you mean 'self level' (angle) vs 'full manual' (Acro) mode... I'd say definitely start in angle mode so that you can get used to the controls and stay in the air. As soon as you can fly it (maybe 1-2 weeks in) switch to Acro mode because it will be way better long term and allow you to do more manoeuvres, be a better pilot and is actually easier once you get accustomed to it. Hope that helps
Another great video, thank you ! The Geprc Cinequeen seems to have addressed the noise issue caused by the ducts, by using propeller protectors instead : perhaps you would like to review that one. 👍
I will look that up for sure 👍 I’m flying the Sector 150 Cinewhoop at the moment- discussed here: ua-cam.com/video/9r0IVYhwiHY/v-deo.html if you’re interested (they also addressed some of the issues). Seriously grateful for this video...Do you think i can use the same pids on beta 4.2.9? And should i keep dmin and i relax on? I usually turn them off on my 6" freestyle
Just saw this. The problem with Betaflight 4.0 and onwards is that it's bad for cinewhoops! If you have one on 3.5 then never update it haha. Some people have found these PIDs (or similar) to work in later versions though. It's a while since I've messed with mine tbh, so I'll have to do an update
@@MagicFPV I will look forward for that video! By the way, if i remember correctly bf 3.5 didn't had iterm relax nor dmin...i guess I'll just disable them.
Hey so I did take the ducts off my Veyron 3. What is the size of the aluminum stoppers you used for the outside columns? I'm trying to get some that fit
John Paul Gjengdahl I just used a couple of plastic nuts. You can get standoffs that exact size or 3D print some spacers but I found a couple of nuts worked really nicely
Throttle curve is a good idea for these 3inch kwads, they seem to have too much power if that's a thing lol. I put one on my Geko3 and now its just more fun believe it or not. I would say don't use ducts, and if you have to fly around people, use a tinywhoop with a stripped down gopro on. Good topic 👍😎
Slick Six great ideas 👍 I can totally imagine how the throttle curve would help. I’m seeing more and more of these stripped down or ‘naked’ GoPros... not sure I dare though 😬 haha
what's the point of purchasing/ flying a 3 inch cinewhoop to carry a gopro at all if you're gonna remove the ducts? Like why not just use a 5inch? Or would that be harder to fly super smoothly?
what's the point of purchasing/ flying a 3 inch cinewhoop to carry a gopro at all if you're gonna remove the ducts? Like why not just use a 5inch? Or would that be harder to fly super smoothly?
I think the reason with the ducts they exaggerate the prop noise why they haven’t made the ducts with venting around the ducts to release some off that noise and also boost a bit more performance instead of isolating it🤷♂️ It’s like being in a tunnel which causes a echo and makes sound louder.😉
Nice vid bro! Going yo try those fincky pids for my squirt because it is flying like shit right now😅 can you please share what filters you are using with your squirt?
Booly FPV let me know if the Fincky PIDs work! I haven’t flown the Squirt for a while 🤔 think I left the filters stock but I’ll check and let you know if not 🙂👍
Small diameter propellers at high speed are always going to be loud. Ducted airplanes and even wings are super loud because of the small high speed props.
Just found your channel, really great content. Subbed. I'm more into Micros due to limited space where i live, and have recently seen some good results using the Insta360 Go (they updated firmware to allow a 5 min recording). Also looking at the GepRC Cine Pro 4k, but will have to stabilise in post. Micro seems to be the only way around the noise, but video quality suffers. Perhaps in a couple of years some tech innovation will solve for it.
Hello fellow HK fpv pilot! I don't have a drone yet but could you give me some suggestions on where to fly? Hong Kong doesn't have very many open parks so finding a spot is hard. Could I have some suggestions? Thanks.
Tom Bevan It all depends where you live, and your access to transport. I’m up in the north west new territories and have a car so it’s a bit easier to travel. I tend to look on google maps for “green” potential areas. It can be hit and miss, but you can usually find some. Again if you’re flying a micro it will be easier, if you’re trying to fly a 3” or 5” it will be tougher.
@@MagicFPV Hi! You mean if they accept individually or if they are part of the wedding and the organizers have decided there's going to be cinewhoops flying around so they tacitly accept by attending the ceremony?
@@olivierf.4931 in that specific situation my understanding is that they would need to be aware, so - much like a photographer would get everybody’s attention for a group shot - a drone pilot might do the same.
