Wow!!! Impressive speed with this small flame! Congratulations! I hope that one day, I also have the same performace with my engine. Without the propellers, the engine turns how many rpm?

I used ballraces throughout as it is important to keep friction down but I have seen some using plain bronze bushes. It is very important that there are no leaks on the displacer and the piston needs to be a perfect fit. It took me a while to get it right but now it starts every time after 30 seconds warm up.
    Good luck with your find.

Nice job,it runs very well. The camera microphone always make the engines sound noiser than they actualy are. What's next, another Stirling.

Thank you for your comments. The speed is probably high as I did not put too much pitch on the fan blades. The engine needs a flywheel to run but I don't know how small that could be to get the highest speed. Maybe I will try it! :-)

Hey, nice job. I just found a stirling hot air engine similar to yours but bigger I think it's a kit engine. I was hoping you could point me in the right direction to find out how to adjust it and what type of bearing to use? Mine were rusted out.. Thanks!

Yes indeed. They were originally made for that purpose for use in places like India during the early 1900's.

Would it work on a hot day to cool yourself?
