I really like Game Over. One of my favorite FNF songs by far. I didn't make this to be a better version of said song, I didn't make it out of hate or spite, I made it out of my love for the song and my desire to learn the basics of Psych Engine.
Random fact: MX's weakness is canonically McDonalds Sprite.
I'll add a more high-effort thumbnail to this later.

You even got the 3 hit system in there! This is super impressive to see in Psych, considering even members of the Psych engine server will commend Forever over it. All the little extra bits are great, too! While some of the pop-up stuff might be a bit obnoxious, namely the "Wahoo" across the screen, it's still interesting to see, considering this was a bit of a Psych Engine test for you. My hat's to you, good sir! Keep up the great work!

I loved all the details added to the mod! Everything to the hill that had changed into the eye to make the background dark, down to the end where Girlfriend pops up and tries to point to tell you to run at 3:02. All very good stuff my boy!

This is an impressive project it adds the little details that matter like the fade in to the battle has the eye mountain slowly fade out into the background as if it's hastily trying to finish camouflaging itself, I love how there are bunch of small distortions on the background hitting at something shifty going on. I love how just before the shift an eye appears on the moutain, I love how Lord MX's color pallette contrast heavily with the far brighter background. Then in a flash of lightning the illusion fade with the transformation. The shaking when the chase starts is nice. The glowing red eye during the quote is nice. I love how we add a touch of Luka. The finger snap from the giant MX is interesting and the mini girlfriend at the bottom shows the exit ahead.
This is an incredible tweek of the original that add onto the details to sell the horror.

I didnt know this was possible, I thought psych engine is limited to what it can do compared to something like the kade engine
I mean, they’re both built off of the same base game, and Kade Engine is just a less accessible Psych Engine. That’s why so many mods are in psych now, since it’s easier to code stuff in, the input system is slightly better, and other stuff. This is just me learning how to use the engine, there are wayyyy better psych projects out there lol
@@ExtemTheHedgehogLol If anything, the KE is better for those that like an Input System like other rhythm games, while Psych Engine is basically the base game’s Input System with a bit of polish.
@@ajnurtnick3460 Yeah, Kade Engine was a bit too similar to other rhythm games, mainly quaver, because of its input system and overall style. Psych Engine is taking the original game and building upon it. I guess it's up to personal preference.

You should probably clarify that you are using the official Psych Engine Port, since I see people in the comments thinking you did the changes in said port

This is really good! i love the extra little details like how MX appears on the screen when he says "INNOCENCE DOESNT GET YOU FAR", and theres the "W A H O O!" text
another cool thing is that when MX transitions to well, giga MX(ima call him that), instead of a decapitated lucas, it showed "help me".
And when MX went "WA-HOO!" it showed a little animation.
The last to final transition is pretty cool when it shows the details of where BF is, and the timer saying "Gotta Go!"
and then theres girlfriend right there on the bottom of screen pointing to the left, possibly to the score?
over all, this is a solid 10/10!
one cool thing i would've loved to see is at the end, MX is slowly but surely inching near BF, before he goes into the pipe

Thanks! I tried to put as much effort as I could into it but I’m not that good at pixel art (I originally wanted to have a section where BF and MX jump over a really big gap at 1:28 and land on the ground at the semi-drop, at a standstill, and once the drums continue they start running again, but I can’t make pixel art OR animate XD). I’m glad you like it, though, and I loved making it!

Ok, the fact that you inserted that one screen (The screen where it has Boyfriend's lives say "RUN!" and the time saying "TIME TO GO") is so cool. I wish when my mod comes out it could be something similar to this (Also if you didn't want me to shamelessly promote myself then sorry, I didn't know if I could mention my mod here lol)

You should make the notes corrupt on MX's side to make it look like MX is self-aware of the player to make them feel uncomfortable as he knows they'll fear his presence.
Ooo, I could make his notes move around a bit to trip the player out and even change them to a more cracked skin to show that things are tearing apart at the seams

I feel like there needs to be more shaking. Maybe when ever MX lands after a jump to sell thus guy is a monster that can crush you in an instant if he catches you. Other than that, good video!

@@fisti1208 Nah, trust me, there are people with way more talent than me in psych lua. For example, the original creators of the Psych Port of Game Over that I used for this. I never would've been able to get the running sequence right.

this is really good! i know you used the official psych port, but i still like it. i'd recommend make the screen fully black at the innocence part because it's really weird seeing the screen slightly clip to see the running. i'd like to see what it looks like with break impact on, but it'd probably be hard to play that with that much shake happening. also, is gf just telling you to run at the bottom of the screen or is she telling you to hold left at the pipe? it'd be cool if it was the latter, but that probably be pretty hard to code in. either way, good job!

at the "innocence doesn't get you far" part, the black background kinda clips at the right and you can still see the screen a bit

Those were both intentional. Firstly because it would be painstakingly difficult to program in a second score counter simply for a one-off thing, and secondly because BF is in MX's domain, but the area he's in happens to be in 1-1.
