A Sonic Creepypasta that isn't Sonic.exe? Hallelujah. It's not really a Creepypasta as others are claiming it to be, but I still appreciate the effort someone went through to do something original for once.
@@harjarmec The PvZ Shooters really inspired me and stand as one of gaming's most creative ideas in my opinion. Like, a shooter game is the last genre you'd expect PvZ to tackle, yet it happened. And it works so unbelievably well.
I love the concept of this fangame. I like the dark comedy behind having tails be rubbed out of the startup screen and end credits and his tails falling from the sky and I also like how they added a super sonic battle.
I know this is almost definitely an oversight but I find it really interesting and quite unsettling that Ghost-Sonic can actually still interact with the world around him to a limited extent- It was explicitly programmed so that he could not collect rings, defeat badniks or break open item monitors, essentially making him an invisible spirit forever disconnected from the world, but if you look closely, he IS able to interact with a few things like the weight of the bridges being affected by his presence or the floating platforms falling after he touched them or if they weren't designed to fall, they just got pushed down a bit from Sonic's weight. It's a creepy (though probably accidental) detail that leaves me wondering what it's like from the perspective of someone else. Imagine seeing Sonic die from the impact of crash landing in Emerald Hill from the Death Egg with no Tornado to save him, and then later on you start seeing things like the platforms falling or the bridges being pushed down slightly even when nobody's on them? It's a really bizzare and creepy thought and it definitely adds to the atmosphere of the story.

I do wish the game is more like a story of acceptance where they made a part where sonic copes his depression to a loss, and in which make more stages of the original sonic 2 represent the stages of grief. and reaching the end where sonic accepts his friend's fate despite failing to kill or take revenge on robotnik. Don't forget, we know who sonic really is, and is different compared to shadow.
Maybe the word "savior" is trying to say that the world no longer has to fear Eggman from taking over it since he died. So the animals don't have to fear of getting used as a power source for robots anymore. So technically Sonic stopped Eggman from taking over the world for real and thus he's the "savior".
The Normal Ending implies that Tails is 'living' as ghost wherever the Death Egg landed (if Robotnik killed him there), which, if this fan-game is supposed to be an alternate version of the events of Sonic 2, would be Angel Island.

There are a few problems that I have with this game just from seeing the footage 1. Terrible ending shouldve been normal, and normal ending shouldve been terrible. In terrible ending, at least Sonic doesnt give up, in normal ending, Sonic just accepts his demise and basically lets Robotnik win with no real challenge. 2. Saviour ending shouldnt really be called "Saviour", you really dont win, Sonic still dies just that this time, he takes Robotnik with him. The Saviour ending should be renamed to "Avenged Ending" instead. 3. I like that the person who created this tried to make a creepypasta that wasnt just another Sonic.exe. But what I dont like is that this is misleading, since this isnt even a creepypasta, its just more depressing than anything. The only creepy thing about it was that Tails was just there dead all bloody and stuff, and that was a bit dark ill say that, but nothing that made me feel scared or creeped out Ehh, but its just a fan game, still looks like a fun experience, and it definetly looks like something that would be 50x better than any game I could make.
Fun fact: it is implies in the savior ending like shadow (only more safe) sonic is alive because he still had the chaos EMERALDS so yea sonic lived in that ending

It would be cool if there was an ending where if you speedrunned it fast enough, you could find tails before he jumps through the ring. After that, you can defeat the death egg robot and protect him. But in the end, who would save them from falling to their deaths?
I find it cool that one person made a whole "creepypasta" game based on the 8-bit releases of Sonic 2, I still find those endings to be genuinely very haunting since they're so unexpected, and the ending shot is really dark, probably truly one of the darkest SEGA game moments.
Theory: If you look at the ending screens when sonic gets an ending, you can see sonic isn't transparent and blinking black. This is my theory that Sonic is still alive, Though in a state of coma that makes him think that he's still in his adventures with his friends.
The terrible ending basically is the good ending for eggman. Eggman after years of failing against his nemesis: the blue blur, he finally won. It took him 30 years but he finally did it, the world is his.

I wish there were 2 more endings (involving a new possibility to grab tails’ body) How to grab tails’ body: Press T at the moment Doctor Eggman plants his bomb, Easy! Power Ending (Positive): Grab the dark emerald, grab tails’ body and when sonic is at frame 1 of turning into Dark Sonic, Spam T and Tails will come back to life and you will have to beat Eggman, if you do, you save Tails’ and keep your dark form, you fly down and your dark form dissapears, Tails and Sonic are still alive and continue their journey with Eggman dying into a ghost. If you don’t beat eggman, this is where the Loss Ending comes in. Loss Ending: Grab The Dark Emerald and Tails’ body, Spam T and bring back Tails to life. Then after all of this, die to the Sonic and Tails VS Egg Man boss battle, Sonic loses his dark form and Tails’ loses his Super form. Eggman shoots Tails causing him to die just like before and Sonic Falls to the ground causing him to die. That would be awesome if they actually did that! This is just an idea don’t take this seriously.

*The oddest thing is that in this, Sonic dies after falling from the Death Egg despite him being unable to take fall damage no matter how far high up he falls from.*
The whole game is Sonic’s new worst nightmare because it has Tails’ death (especially with blood), he himself dies regardless of which ending happens, the much slowed-down version of the Emerald Hill zone music when he’s a ghost, how the original ending music eventually winds down (completely wound down when he returns to Emerald Hill zone as a ghost, but slowly winds back up when he becomes Dark Sonic), and worst of all, the endings themselves, which is because they have a dark droning noise (the music box didn’t help, though) and he is literally seen dead in the terrible and savior endings.

i feel like having a true ending will remove all impact of the game itself, because if tails lives, then that whole section with sonic crying, and his fight with eggman loses all purpose
The sonic after the eggman boss fight in the beginning is sad, not because of the fact that eggman laughed at sad sonic, but because sonic was…not there. Let me explain, he is remembering that, so he cant do anything. he cant collect rings, get hurt by enemies and he cant break boxes, the music makes it all the more worse, adding to the effect. And to make even more sad, sonic doesn’t even have any color and the background is dimmed,and then there is the worst part: tails dead body parts fall out of the sky with deepening music, you did a good job on this, i won’t lie. And to top it off sonic started to CRY. It’s just…depressing, i don’t know how to describe it,it’s just…sad.(This is my theory it is fannon) OwO

I think dark sonic actually makes sense for this. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Dark form achieved when you turn into your super form but you have negative memories/you're really angry? I might be mistaken but if so, it fits because Sonic was obviously really upset about Tails' death and mad a Robotnik/Eggman for killing him.
Well yes and no. While it is true that the dark form is achieved by raw emotions and anger achieved that form by fake emeralds that fed off of his emotions and the booted him up with dark power which turned him into dark Sonic so unless the emerald we see in this game is a fake one technically him turning into dark Sonic is impossible but I still do think it's very likely the emerald we saw is fake.
Normal Ending: *Eggman is finally win against Sonic and take over little planet* Terrible Ending: *Sonic turn normal again and failed to avenge his buddy* Savior Ending: *Sonic get his revenge on Eggman and after battles, Eggman has died and Sonic is alive, his buddy "Tails" is happy about him defeat Eggman*
Ok, now I understand the Saviour Ending. In the end, Sonic destroys Eggman's Capsule and kills him. However, for some odd reason, Sonic turns back to his usual self and falls to his death (even though there is no fall damage). With that out of the way, it is called the Saviour Ending because Sonic sacrificed himself to save all the animals of East Island. I hope you understand why and how it is called the Saviour Ending.
If I may weigh in as someone with some experience with depression and grief. I think this is meant to be a more symbolic experience rather than literal events. The normal ending is pretty straight forward I think, Sonic just lost his best friend and essentially an honorary little brother, he's in a state of depression and mourning, I've had expirience with this before where you become numb, almost entirely immune to things that used to give you pleasure or joy or ANY kind of expressive reaction and many people undergoing the same thing will describe it as living as a Ghost version of themselves. This actually a rather ham-fisted metaphor depending on who you ask, but definitely accurate. Which is also why all of the gameplay mechanics are disabled during this point, none of the enemies hurt you and you can't collect rings or power ups, the outside world means very little to Sonic right now. Meanwhile the Terrible and Saviour endings I think are just two aspects to the same thing, a self destructive, vengeance fuelled rampage resulting in an inability to process or move on. The Terrible ending is self explanatory, but notice how it’s not called the “Good” ending, just “Savior” ending, because, while it’s entirely justified by every measure to kill Robotnik at this point since he’s basically a fascist tyrant in the Sonic Universe. Sonic himself is not better off for what he’s done, because he simply made an impulsive decision out of overwhelming hatred and loss but Tails is still dead and whether he succeeds or not, he’s only capable of being a Martyr, because that’s what happens when you let Hate fester.
Still waiting for the ending where sonic takes a one up monitor, brings it to the death egg and to dead tails, and just smashes the monitor open with tails’s head, giving tails an extra life, and then they murder robotnik.

I love how Sonic evidently turns to Dark Sonic, when the fan was creating him, I believe it was stated Sonic would turn dark when he couldn't control his rage, and the angrier he became, the stronger he would become. I also like how the music slows, it feels hopeless, before Sonic begins to vibrate and transforms, allowing him to survive and beat the ever living sh*t out of Eggman

The savior ending shouldn't have ended with sonic falling into his death, it really doesn't make sense for sonic to just loose his transformation after defeating Eggman, there should be an ending with sonic landing safely on land as dark sonic ,
He went into the dark form and dark form comes from hate and anger towards somebody...Rn he hated eggman and was angry at him for killing his friend so when he defeated him he had no more reasons to stay in his dark form so he transformed back to base

How to grab tails’ body: Press T at the moment Doctor Eggman plants his bomb, Easy!
Power Ending (Positive): Grab the dark emerald, grab tails’ body and when sonic is at frame 1 of turning into Dark Sonic, Spam T and Tails will come back to life and you will have to beat Eggman, if you do, you save Tails’ and keep your dark form, you fly down and your dark form dissapears, Tails and Sonic are still alive and continue their journey with Eggman dying into a ghost.
If you don’t beat eggman, this is where the Loss Ending comes in.
Loss Ending: Grab The Dark Emerald and Tails’ body, Spam T and bring back Tails to life. Then after all of this, die to the Sonic and Tails VS Egg Man boss battle, Sonic loses his dark form and Tails’ loses his Super form. Eggman shoots Tails causing him to die just like before and Sonic Falls to the ground causing him to die.
That would be awesome if they actually did that!

Then the ending screen will show up with Sonic and Tails in their victory poses and Eggman’s spirit (from the Savior ending) next to them while the last part of the actual Sonic 2 credits music plays. Below the word “End” you will also see either “True Ending” or “Miracle Ending.”

Also, make the sky stop moving when Sonic reverts to normal and falls (in terrible, savior, and, of course, true/miracle endings).
4. The game will now support French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portugese, and Russian.
5. Bug fixes, as always.

The music at 12:17 made you feel like sonic really turned into dark super sonic
The whole game is Sonic’s new worst nightmare because it has Tails’ death (especially with blood), he himself dies regardless of which ending happens, the much slowed-down version of the Emerald Hill zone music when he’s a ghost, how the original ending music eventually winds down (completely wound down when he returns to Emerald Hill zone as a ghost, but slowly winds back up when he becomes Dark Sonic), and worst of all, the endings themselves, which is because they have a dark droning noise (the music box didn’t help, though) and he is literally seen dead in the terrible and savior endings.
I’ve got great new ideas for the next update:

The sonic after the eggman boss fight in the beginning is sad, not because of the fact that eggman laughed at sad sonic, but because sonic was…not there. Let me explain, he is remembering that, so he cant do anything. he cant collect rings, get hurt by enemies and he cant break boxes, the music makes it all the more worse, adding to the effect.
And to make even more sad, sonic doesn’t even have any color and the background is dimmed,and then there is the worst part: tails dead body parts fall out of the sky with deepening music, you did a good job on this, i won’t lie. And to top it off sonic started to CRY. It’s just…depressing, i don’t know how to describe it,it’s just…sad.(This is my theory it is fannon)

I think dark sonic actually makes sense for this. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Dark form achieved when you turn into your super form but you have negative memories/you're really angry? I might be mistaken but if so, it fits because Sonic was obviously really upset about Tails' death and mad a Robotnik/Eggman for killing him.
Well yes and no. While it is true that the dark form is achieved by raw emotions and anger achieved that form by fake emeralds that fed off of his emotions and the booted him up with dark power which turned him into dark Sonic so unless the emerald we see in this game is a fake one technically him turning into dark Sonic is impossible but I still do think it's very likely the emerald we saw is fake.

Ok, now I understand the Saviour Ending. In the end, Sonic destroys Eggman's Capsule and kills him. However, for some odd reason, Sonic turns back to his usual self and falls to his death (even though there is no fall damage). With that out of the way, it is called the Saviour Ending because Sonic sacrificed himself to save all the animals of East Island. I hope you understand why and how it is called the Saviour Ending.
Sonic turns back to normal because he wasn’t Super, he was Dark Sonic. Once Eggman was dead, he had no reason to keep going, so he changed back.

If I may weigh in as someone with some experience with depression and grief. I think this is meant to be a more symbolic experience rather than literal events.
The normal ending is pretty straight forward I think, Sonic just lost his best friend and essentially an honorary little brother, he's in a state of depression and mourning, I've had expirience with this before where you become numb, almost entirely immune to things that used to give you pleasure or joy or ANY kind of expressive reaction and many people undergoing the same thing will describe it as living as a Ghost version of themselves. This actually a rather ham-fisted metaphor depending on who you ask, but definitely accurate. Which is also why all of the gameplay mechanics are disabled during this point, none of the enemies hurt you and you can't collect rings or power ups, the outside world means very little to Sonic right now.
Meanwhile the Terrible and Saviour endings I think are just two aspects to the same thing, a self destructive, vengeance fuelled rampage resulting in an inability to process or move on. The Terrible ending is self explanatory, but notice how it’s not called the “Good” ending, just “Savior” ending, because, while it’s entirely justified by every measure to kill Robotnik at this point since he’s basically a fascist tyrant in the Sonic Universe. Sonic himself is not better off for what he’s done, because he simply made an impulsive decision out of overwhelming hatred and loss but Tails is still dead and whether he succeeds or not, he’s only capable of being a Martyr, because that’s what happens when you let Hate fester.
