- Mario, being promised to be sent to somewhere peaceful, ends up in "Mario 85", a world where things are not what they seem to be. Unfortunately, a creepy doppleganger stands in his way, and with a chance that Mario may not come back after dying, Mario has to endure the wrath of MX. Will Mario survive or will innocence not get him far? (haha i said it)
Thanks for watching! Special thanks to @FrazzDude_ for providing sprites from the game and letting me know who to credit for this video! Without these, I don't know what I'd do haha. This video was fun to make!! It's a short one, but I was starting to run out of time after I finished the first chase scene, another case of "It's good now, but it could've been better", but I like it for what it is :) I included a tiny secret in this video that'll lead to the website, I've figured out how to get rid of the link on the sitemap so no cheating!! (I know somebody on the discord's looking at this :D) Also, couldn't really find the credits to the game's chase music, so if it's missing credits, feel free to let me know. Also loving the Game Over FNF track by Saster, I knew once I listened to the twitter preview I had to make an MX video (hey, the instrumental's in this video!! went by saster's description so hopefully i'm using the track with correct guidelines!). That part at 2:03 gave me genuine chills. I was expecting the basic wahoo, like he does in the game, but the twist of MX disobeying the laws of the game / video with pulling the ratio bars back followed by the reintroduction of the music (probably because it’s the Game Over instrumental from Saster) caught me off guard too much. Excellent video.
I think one of MX’s canonical powers should be toon force, where he disobeys the laws of physics in a manner similar to looney tunes to get to his victim. Imagine him painting a pipe with a paintbrush jumping through it and teleporting directly to you. Or punching through comic panels, or walk on air

Around 3:30 when E.Gadd pulls code out and brings Mario back, you can see little red flashes of text, signifying that MX actually KNOWS Egadd is pulling Mario out.

I really like how you interpret MX Durability as he just took Mario’s Attacks with the Fire Flower, Also like how there’s actually a kinda of Toad Rebellion in this universe.

MX did Something similar in Mario ‘85 when like in here they fell into a bottomless pit. Jump really high after the game stopped like they died and afterwards the game continues(also in that segment one mistake and your getting caught.)
I haven't seen Mario 85, but from what I read about it this seems amazing!

Nice work, thinking outside the box with a video that's still within the mario world but has just enough outside thinking to be unique and new
The writing and presentation/animation on this was really good. Like, I loved how it tastefully gave a little more insight on both your world and his, like how there's a few survivors underground who seemingly mistake Mario for MX, maybe he just lets them live down there out of respect for managing to escape in the first place, and in-case he gets bored.
Or when MX implies that he doesn't necessarily think your Mario is the "original" or even his predecessor. While honored to face another imitation of Super Mario, he seems to think of your Mario as almost an equal, just another program perhaps.
That was the cherry on top for me. Take my like and sub.

I want to see Mario gain allies and enemies when he goes into E-Gadd’s VR chamber thing, and Mario and his allies fight the enemies like this dude, and the ringleader for everything negative, like the person who installed the virus installs more and eventually fights with all of his viruses together vs Mario and VR chamber allies.

The chase scene is really good and i like what you did with 2:16 and also how mario just gets toyed by MX at 3:09
Though at least Mario tried fighting back against MX but it was clearly useless because he just walked right through that. How can you possibly say MX isn't OP after almost killing mario by punching him into a pipe and walked right through everything like nothing, and he jumps higher than mario and can cause the whole ground to shake. Like bro no thank you😎

1:37 when MX breaks the first pipe he broke, you can see lucas decapitated and put on a stick, like sonic.exe does with tails.
This reveals this is a timeline after lucas had died in MX's clutches. Sorry "lucas wasn't here yet" ppl, unfortunately lucas did arriver faster than mario and had a terrible fate.

3:07 i've always hated this section, it takes ages to break down the blocks individually with a power-up
You can slide underneath by letting go of right (or left depending on which way you're moving) and immediately pressing down. Do that right before you run into the bricks.

The only thing that is questionable is the Toads running away in fear, confusing Mario for MX. After all, when MX isn't trying to kill people, he acts just like the regular Mario.
They actually saw MX running towards them, so that’s why they ran, they didn’t run cause they confusing mario for MX
But then again, I think they did think Mario was MX but if that’s the cause then it’s questionable then
I think that’s probably why they ran.
Likely, they confused Mario for MX cause they were assuming he was in his, for a lack of a better term “stationary” form.
