I just realized that I've never stopped to talk about and appreciate this song, so I'll do so now. This song is truly out of this world, it makes me feel the most emotion I've ever felt for an FNF song alongside the fact that I could listen to this for years to come without getting sick of it. This is without a doubt the best FNF song of all time and has also single handedly made Classified my favorite mod. And I'd like to take a moment to say that this song has seriously helped me through a tough time. Churgney, not only are you the best FNF composer, to me you're even one of the best musicians in general and have inspired me to make my own music. I noticed that Mario was "personalizing" himself to the FNF format. I saw in one of the comments that Mario's voice in the beginning of the song came from his original voice lines in Super Mario 64. Then in the middle of the song, his voice turned into a proper chromatic that fits better with the song. Lastly, he changed his form after the piracy message, which is another FNF thing since Senpai and Whitty week. That means Mario has turned himself into a typical FNF character at the end of the song.

Honestly I don't think there's a single song of yours I don't think could be any lower than an A-tier song. Your emotions in your songs is what really makes them, your songs. Other favorite composers of mine can capture these feelings in their songs sometimes but you are able to consistently nail it on the dot. Which is not only the reason you're probably my favorite composer in this silly funny rhythm game community, but also why I look up to your music and aspire to be able to capture the feelings of it one day. this is one hell of a song. its just... great. The little intracancies of this song, the subtle changes and obvious refences to a mario 64 game is just great. good times all round.
I feel like this song best exemplifies just how effectively Sturm is able to encapsulate emotions in his FNF tracks. Like, every single song that he's made has just been a powerhouse of feels, and they're all distinct. Manual Blast feels like an end-of-the-world final battle, Legacy sounds like facing the collapse of everything into a new age, Fight or Flight gives the sense of dread that there is no hope to winning, and it's just a matter of time before you fall. Trichael sounds tragic yet triumphant, and Redkiller sounds truly like fleeing from a giant monster that you know will kill you if it catches you. This, though... this is just a whole new level of melancholy. It carries such a nostalgic energy, and especially in the last 2 minutes, the feeling it gives me is like a loved one is about to die, and they aren't ready to go. It just hits you right in the heart in a way that barely any other songs do, and I adore it so much for that reason.
I don't know why, I really don't know why but this one song is the one that is still stuck with me the most out of every song you've made in 2022, nor any other FNF song made in 2022. It's gonna be 2 years old this year and it's a scary thought. It holds up in a way that isn't like any other song. The pace of the song, the melody, and how that faint piano in the background that just ties all the instruments together to form something so chaotic yet so dramatic, god this song is so beautifully made. I started this comment at the beginning of the song and the song is nearly at the end because I keep trying to find the rights words to describe how beautiful this song is but my words cannot do it justice, it just has to be heard for someone to understand why this song is amazing and why it's so different from any other FNF song. to be honest, I've heard this song so many times and yet I never get tired of it, I don't know how you've done it, I've heard so many Fnf songs and yet this is one I keep coming back too, the emotion that you can interprate from mario, the story it tells from both vocals & instrumental alone, it's sad, melanchonic, but that's only a small fraction of what this song can present, in a weird way, it mirrors the creepypasta it's based on, how you interperate the song is *your* copy of it so to speak, you've outdone yourself with this, and I look forward to more of your songs, keep it up king.

Is it just me or does the chromatic get better throughout the song? Like, it starts out really rough and crusty, and you can really hear the samples used to make it, and by the end of the song, I think starting around 2:17, the chromatic sounds a lot more smooth and clean, like a normal chromatic. Almost as if the copy is personalizing itself through the course of the song.

I don't know why I always come to this song. It sounds so godly and yet so sad like this could fit some many scenes in my head. This song makes me have this weird mix of hope and sadness like something in heart is telling things could get better when its getting worse and worse. Mario in this song sounds like hes trying to ask bf for help even though bf is there for a rap battle not taking anything seriously which could be making mario more angry like in his tone of voice. It's about time I said something about this song. I've come back to it so many times that it'd be a crime to not give my opinion on it. When I originally found this song, I didn't really like it. It was... different. Strange. New. I somehow had the audacity to like the old version more. I never knew how much the song would stick with me. Fast forward to when I came upon this again, and it was an experience. I've often struggled on what my favorite FNF song is, so I split it into two categories. How long I've replayed it and the feeling it gave me. The songs were Saster's Fatality and Zeroh's Jack in the Box respectively. The moment I reheard this song though, it was a hit. It gives off such an eerie feeling. This feels hopeless and full of despair, yet it also radiates a sense of bittersweetness and hope. You really know how to paint a story with your work. Legacy, Manual Blast, Fight or Flight, Faker + Black Sun with Lyrics (I am in love with this one, too), Trichael, even Darnell Wet Fart aren't just songs, they're experiences. They are all so good, yet Your Copy just clicks with me. So I replayed it. I replayed the song over and over. I do this with a lot of songs I find. The expected always happens though, I get tired of it and change the song. Obviously I'll come back to it and repeat the cycle, but that's something important to know about it. Fatality originally didn't do this, yet even it was saturated for me (it's still a good song fyi, just because I listen to it multiple times and grow bored doesn't make it a bad song in my eyes) over time. Your Copy isn't like these other songs though. I don't know how, whether it be the 5 minutes of song or just the fact it's so powerful, but I can't stop listening to it. The song is so good, it transcended my brain's ability to get bored of it. How do you even do that?? Regardless, I was a moron even WHEN I listened to this song in a Joyous manner. Somehow it only hit me that Your Copy not only filled both of the criterias I was struggling with to decide my favorite FNF song but it also was just a beautiful song when I decided Classified was my favorite fnf mod. Then I realized, this song is perfection. As for the song itself, the instrumental is dramatic and beautifully made. The vocals are powerful and dominating, mainly Stanley's (I THINK HIS NAME WAS STANLEY DON'T KILL ME) screechy yet graceful voice. That fact is 100% helped out by the fact the chromatic gets cleaner throughout the song. The main melody is amazing, and the classified melody is so strong in this song that when I saw it in Funhouse and Watery Grave I called it the "Your Copy melody" instead. Speaking of that, every part of this song is astonishing. There is not a SINGLE dull moment in this entire song. Emotionally, this song was also really strong for me. I don't need to explain why the actual song gave me chills, but even the NAME of the song gave me chills once. Your Copy is the cherry on top of this composition. I'm still amazed with this song, the funny mario song manages to be one of my all-time favorite songs like ever an emotional 6 minute song about a personalized mario, where it's chromatic physicaly gets better as it goes on, Sturm, how did you manage to do it? this is why I think Sturm is one of the best FNF composers, one of the best composers in general. I've only had a few moments where I wasn't a fan of a Sturm song, this was not one of these moments, you manage to encapsulate so much of Mario's disgust and desparation to not be pesonalized by the cartraige. where as someone like Saster would proubaly try to incorporate some gutairs and make the song unfitting of the situation, even if it's a good song. you and Makyuni (another great FNF composer I know) manage to understand the feeling and situation of the song a lot better than most composers. much how I think Broken Heartware perfectly encapuslates Giffany's desperation in the moment to keep the player in the game, this has a sorta otherworldy feel, and the song immediatly starting, nails it over the head to the player, that Mario isn't playing around, and that drop during the 4 minute mark is just the cherry on top, he really sounds truely frightened with his fate, being a personalized copy. sorry I had to write an essay on why I enjoy this song so much, not that many FNF songs have me revisting anymore, this song however I keep coming back to, it's just that good. thank you

I feel like this song best exemplifies just how effectively Sturm is able to encapsulate emotions in his FNF tracks. Like, every single song that he's made has just been a powerhouse of feels, and they're all distinct. Manual Blast feels like an end-of-the-world final battle, Legacy sounds like facing the collapse of everything into a new age, Fight or Flight gives the sense of dread that there is no hope to winning, and it's just a matter of time before you fall. Trichael sounds tragic yet triumphant, and Redkiller sounds truly like fleeing from a giant monster that you know will kill you if it catches you. This, though... this is just a whole new level of melancholy. It carries such a nostalgic energy, and especially in the last 2 minutes, the feeling it gives me is like a loved one is about to die, and they aren't ready to go. It just hits you right in the heart in a way that barely any other songs do, and I adore it so much for that reason.
You summed it up perfectly. He's unironically one of my favorite composers of all time for that reason, not even just for fnf.

I don't know why, I really don't know why but this one song is the one that is still stuck with me the most out of every song you've made in 2022, nor any other FNF song made in 2022. It's gonna be 2 years old this year and it's a scary thought. It holds up in a way that isn't like any other song. The pace of the song, the melody, and how that faint piano in the background that just ties all the instruments together to form something so chaotic yet so dramatic, god this song is so beautifully made. I started this comment at the beginning of the song and the song is nearly at the end because I keep trying to find the rights words to describe how beautiful this song is but my words cannot do it justice, it just has to be heard for someone to understand why this song is amazing and why it's so different from any other FNF song.
I truly believe this is your magnum opus. I hope this song has inspired someone out there to make something as impressive as this song, because this song just pulls you in it once you have an understanding of it's melody. And of course, I hope you're proud with how this song turned out, because I am very impressed with this song, and I love it very much. Great job sturm.

to be honest, I've heard this song so many times and yet I never get tired of it, I don't know how you've done it, I've heard so many Fnf songs and yet this is one I keep coming back too, the emotion that you can interprate from mario, the story it tells from both vocals & instrumental alone, it's sad, melanchonic, but that's only a small fraction of what this song can present, in a weird way, it mirrors the creepypasta it's based on, how you interperate the song is *your* copy of it so to speak, you've outdone yourself with this, and I look forward to more of your songs, keep it up king.

Is it just me or does the chromatic get better throughout the song? Like, it starts out really rough and crusty, and you can really hear the samples used to make it, and by the end of the song, I think starting around 2:17, the chromatic sounds a lot more smooth and clean, like a normal chromatic. Almost as if the copy is personalizing itself through the course of the song.

I don't know why I always come to this song. It sounds so godly and yet so sad like this could fit some many scenes in my head. This song makes me have this weird mix of hope and sadness like something in heart is telling things could get better when its getting worse and worse. Mario in this song sounds like hes trying to ask bf for help even though bf is there for a rap battle not taking anything seriously which could be making mario more angry like in his tone of voice. I kinda feel like mario in the situation im in. Im trying to find someone to talk to or asking my irl friends for help but they wont take me seriously and it pisses me off but when I get mad they picture me as the villian. It's about time I said something about this song. I've come back to it so many times that it'd be a crime to not give my opinion on it.
When I originally found this song, I didn't really like it. It was... different. Strange. New. I somehow had the audacity to like the old version more. I never knew how much the song would stick with me. Fast forward to when I came upon this again, and it was an experience.
I've often struggled on what my favorite FNF song is, so I split it into two categories. How long I've replayed it and the feeling it gave me. The songs were Saster's Fatality and Zeroh's Jack in the Box respectively. The moment I reheard this song though, it was a hit. It gives off such an eerie feeling. This feels hopeless and full of despair, yet it also radiates a sense of bittersweetness and hope. You really know how to paint a story with your work. Legacy, Manual Blast, Fight or Flight, Faker + Black Sun with Lyrics (I am in love with this one, too), Trichael, even Darnell Wet Fart aren't just songs, they're experiences. They are all so good, yet Your Copy just clicks with me.
So I replayed it. I replayed the song over and over. I do this with a lot of songs I find. The expected always happens though, I get tired of it and change the song. Obviously I'll come back to it and repeat the cycle, but that's something important to know about it. Fatality originally didn't do this, yet even it was saturated for me (it's still a good song fyi, just because I listen to it multiple times and grow bored doesn't make it a bad song in my eyes) over time. Your Copy isn't like these other songs though. I don't know how, whether it be the 5 minutes of song or just the fact it's so powerful, but I can't stop listening to it.
The song is so good, it transcended my brain's ability to get bored of it. How do you even do that?? Regardless, I was a moron even WHEN I listened to this song in a Joyous manner. Somehow it only hit me that Your Copy not only filled both of the criterias I was struggling with to decide my favorite FNF song but it also was just a beautiful song when I decided Classified was my favorite fnf mod. Then I realized, this song is perfection.
As for the song itself, the instrumental is dramatic and beautifully made. The vocals are powerful and dominating, mainly Stanley's (I THINK HIS NAME WAS STANLEY DON'T KILL ME) screechy yet graceful voice. That fact is 100% helped out by the fact the chromatic gets cleaner throughout the song. The main melody is amazing, and the classified melody is so strong in this song that when I saw it in Funhouse and Watery Grave I called it the "Your Copy melody" instead. Speaking of that, every part of this song is astonishing. There is not a SINGLE dull moment in this entire song. Emotionally, this song was also really strong for me. I don't need to explain why the actual song gave me chills, but even the NAME of the song gave me chills once. Your Copy is the cherry on top of this composition.
Sorry if my grammar/spelling wasn't the best or if I didn't get a point across well enough. I just wanted to type this out in the moment. Thank you, Churgney Gurgney. Saw on some twitter account that it was deemed best FNF song of 2023, and to me, it completely deserves this place. No song has made me feel the same way as this one, it brings a sense of despair and makes it feel like everything is slowly falling apart, and in the end, there is nothing, the end. I have to say this, but i come back here almost everyday to hear this masterpiece again, it’s such a memorable song from the mod that i can’t forget. Like everyone else said, the fact that mario personalized his voice into the fnf format into a proper chromatic is genius.
And this bf’s chromatic, it’s one of the best i’ve ever heard since hotline 024.
The instrumental blend so well with the chromatics behind.
The entirety of this song makes you want to see what’s going to happen next, it makes you feel alive, sad, happy, shocked.

Firstly, the instrumental is God tier and I believe a lot of people will agree with me that you nailed the vibe of this song since each and every second of it it gets even better. an emotional 6 minute song about a personalized mario, where it's chromatic physicaly gets better as it goes on, Sturm, how did you manage to do it?
this is why I think Sturm is one of the best FNF composers, one of the best composers in general. I've only had a few moments where I wasn't a fan of a Sturm song, this was not one of these moments, you manage to encapsulate so much of Mario's disgust and desparation to not be pesonalized by the cartraige. where as someone like Saster would proubaly try to incorporate some gutairs and make the song unfitting of the situation, even if it's a good song. you and Makyuni (another great FNF composer I know) manage to understand the feeling and situation of the song a lot better than most composers. much how I think Broken Heartware perfectly encapuslates Giffany's desperation in the moment to keep the player in the game, this has a sorta otherworldy feel, and the song immediatly starting, nails it over the head to the player, that Mario isn't playing around, and that drop during the 4 minute mark is just the cherry on top, he really sounds truely frightened with his fate, being a personalized copy.
