My review of the GEPRC Smart35 - • 3.5" is the best sub-2...
That time I tried to learn to Trippy Spin with the Smart35 - • Learning to trippy spi...
My wife prefers 5"+ but since we got married, she chooses to daily drive a 3.5". Sometimes it isn't the size the matters, but how it handles and how long it lasts.
so get really good batteries ? :D jkjk
Daily?😮
😂🤝
Does she call it her "tiny whoop" 🙃
Lol the beginning of this video is giving my lockpickinglawyer vibes “opening up my wife’s lock”
I admire your ability to keep a straight face.
Every time you say "You're going to learn something today"
I spend more money 😂
Got to say. You truly are a "Know it All". Lol. Love the content. Very informative. Keep it coming.
@Joshua Bardwell you can't always tell from the wires. Matek has a module (M8Q-CAN) that runs GPS, compass and Baro all over 1 serial port using MSP protocol.
🤣🤣🤣 I love 5 inches
He only need 5 inch all time
But sometimes 5 inches can be too much 😂
@@WindjumbieFPV correct and that's where three and a half inches is perfect 🤣🤣
First 30 secs had my in tears... 👀
It really wasn't funny .
Beautiful country side nice place you got 👍👍
My 5" is quiet compared to my 4".
The Difference between the 2?
Both have the same stack
but the 4" has 4.9x4x3 cut down to 4". and 2205 2500kv motors.
The 5" has Ethix Limon Lime S4 props and Steele Silk v5 motors.
The angle of the prop pitch and blade count can change how loud your quad is dramatically if noise is an issue.
My daily driver is an H-frame 135mm on 3" bi-blades, analogue, 450mAh 3S, ELRS.
❤the botShirt is awesome 🎉
Have an M10 gps chip on the Evoque F5 HD and so far it's been absolutely brilliant (in EU) . Cold start 8 to 10 sats in less than 20 seconds and an average of 18 sats any other time
Glad to hear nothern cardinal in the background
Hi, JB, please make a review on crux 35! Thanks in advance
Just bought an IH3 frame kit and I'll try Xing 1408's which should be a lot more fun. Also experienced VTX link fail on my older H3's - Seems to fail at or near 3.4v - Up warning in Betaflight to 3.5 may solve this.
Fantastic flying and review, Joshua!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
That intro got me
The first 35 seconds of this video is perfect! 🤌
Justin from dronecamps just whipped out his10 inch!!😂
I’m starting FPV and listened this video without earbuds, now my roommate is looking weird at me 😂😅
Hahaaha JB giving the bando durability test
I just love the H shape of the frame so much but I find it very underpowered with 850mah, I will try 3000mah lithium pack next time.
I remember you really liked the shocker 4"
i agree 3,5 inch is the best
The angle for the antenna is very likely the reason for the video drop. For smooth cruising in smaller angles it gets covered by battery. Yep.
Hahahaha my girl never complains
you mentioned the "bobbling" on the more recent betaflight versions. I've noticed it ever since 4.3, if you find out what it is, let us know! 👍
Put some Avan Rush Propeller on that thing, they give great response
My DJI vistas have all gotten less range on 3.5" quads than larger quads. I've always thought that was because the antenna is that much closer to the RF emitted by the motors. Could that have contributed to the loss of O3 signal?
At this price I think the Avata might be better for a first FPV drone
Or the baby ape II which is a 3.5 drone, and based on how my baby ape v2 handles, they're awesome and you can get an rtf for 350.
Imho for a freestyle machine you shouldn't go smaller then a 2004 3600 KV motor on a 3.5 inch prop
I just got chimera 7 and it has m10 and I can say the gps has been really good maybe the settings of the m10 did you do all the setup as you showed before
Yes, definitely I set it up.
Maybe I will try this drone after dji fpv
Noise is the only reason I haven't been shopping above 2.5". I haven't found a spot where I can fly anything louder unless I head out of town. Maybe people wouldn't care but it just feels like I'm a disturbance.
Hey can I find the Wallpaper that are on your Monitor behind you there are realy awsome.
Any chance you are planning a Jumper T Pro v2 review?
11:35 That can be fixed by adding a small piece of bicycle tube between the frame and cam.. But it adds that weight.
Bro this is a great idea ✊🤝
@@bugsy742 Thanks brother!
@@MadDragon75 😃✊👍
yeahh
I have the iflight gps as well and been wondering why I am getting no satellites it's brand spanking new too
Did you have the onboard footage saved? Can it tell you if you throttle up went up, or just sagged out?
I'm having the same GPS issue in the uk, it's only finding 3-4 Sat's on a defender 25
after this video, i buy 3.5"/3 props to put on the chimera4 instead 4" biblades.. to test.. is the 3800kv version, i hope it change to freestyle it (but is ok for freestyle with biblades for me anyway. but? who knows with props!.)
I still ride with 2” but it’s black and sometimes hard to find in a bush.
Same issue on my new Evoque. The O3 camera is loose, even looser than yours, and impossible to tighten.
Something about the parallel motor arms annoys me visually. Not sure why.
need to know the wiring for a baromenter on the Iflt 7. Can you help
I might consider this if they made an analog version
Same 👍🤝
Also the dji warranty won't count as its intended for use in China, only happens with iflight dji bind and flys
Freestyle Everywhere Knoxville!!!!
The GPS module actually has a compass in it but iFlight just don't defaultly connect it to the flight controller.
I want to build an FPV ExpressLRS drone: The cheapest and reliable! Any suggestions? This will me my first drone.
Hi!
Is 5 inches big enough these days?
No Josh, that was the Eachine Wizard X220S. ...how's that today?
a cinewhoop should be the first drone - you can hit things as you learn
If you live in Europe in the suburbs of a major City you want sub 250g because otherwise you are low on possible spots
I would rather consider AOS 3.5 EVO O3 that is below 250g and camera seems more protected
I'm sure glad I fly 7's
There was a lot of jello in that O3 footage with the 3000 mah battery. Was that an issue with the bent prop or did you swap it out when you changed battery? I am pretty tolerant of bad footage and even I would not be happy with that.
Just saw the end of the video, and even after the crash, those props looked fine to me. Between the awful vibrations with that battery and the useless gps, those would be huge red flags and a never buy for me.
I love 5 inches! Thats what she said...
🙏
off subject but it is 3.5" i have an axisflying c35 with C206-1960KV @6S. i accidently ordered some 1250mah batteries at 50c, do you think i will fry these batteries. or should i exchange for the 130c ones that i know work
Exchange them if you have the option
For $576.00 prices have gone nuts. How can people afford to fly anymore.😭
cause an o3 air unit is purely optional unless this quad is only available in an O3 air unit version but I dont know cause i didnt give a shit to watch it as soon as i seen what it looked like
$600 for a 3.5"?! Who the fk is paying these prices? What a joke. Who ever is paying that is a fking clown!
As a first quad... we'll need then new or used dji goggles, $400+ and then a transmitter, let's say the beginners will be able to configure ELRS so call it $100 for the controller. $1,000+ first fpv drone seems rough.
What do you expect with a 03 in there. That's 350$ Canadian in itself.
I am a newbie, I have a geprc mark 4, crocodile 5 and this drone. I Iove the IH3.
Where is the capacitor on this quad?
He love 5 incher but 3 inches is his favourite 😂
But why not rtl? That’s the point of gps lr quads?
Please you have a clip file original? Thanks
Let me tell you an old Russian joke. One man was told he has one magic hair in his beard. A happy man started to pull out hairs asking for the "Zhiguli" car. Zhiguli! Zhiguli! Zhiguli! "Oh! No there is one hair left! They lied!
Dagger in the ass!".... Aaaaaaah!!!! 😂🤦♂
Fail safe not configured ?
Seems people slow to go 6s,roughly same $ for battery,1506 6s ,umm 450-550 be way better I believe
I was all ready to buy one of those until I saw that it only comes with digital and costs $600 minimum. Geez, I remember not long ago when you could by a PnP for like 199. Prices are getting stupid.
In my experience BLH32 ESC's are less reliable than BLH-s since BlueJay firmware
I just wonder how much wind a 3.5" can stand compared to a 5".
Anyone can please elaborate on this?
I have a cinewhoop and wind was really a problem lately.
Ducts act like sails in the wind. Try quads without ducts if you can
What Chris said mate 👍
3.5 in a tight frame like the Babyhawk 2 handles wind quite well 👍🤝
Could you fly it on a 1500 4s?
I think you can, bardwell tested a lition battery that weights 200gr, a 1500 4s battery weights like 120gr, so i think you can
Makes sense, my wife rhinks 7 inch is just too much.
Nahh that intro
I think companies are going to have to start focusing on sub 250
That’s what she said
So the one million dollars question: if im buying my First FPV Drone, should it be This or Flywoo Explorer LR4 HD?? 😁
Aos 3.5
Flywoo LR4
@@chrisbee5481 excuse my Newbiness😄 but this price tag? I think Avata is a better newbie option! Please correct me
No way will I buy a drone with a 1-piece bottom plate that isn't a micro. I break too many arms for that.
Does anyone have a flight controller that's more than 2 years old, on a quad that get flown regularly that still works? All of mine go bad if I fly them every week within a year usually.
I got dysf4 and some old Bardwell fcs still going after 5 or more years
@@rockman49er That's amazing. I've never had a FC last more than 10 months. No matter the brand or price. They will just start jerking in the air and eventually start going full throttle randomly. And I rarely crash.
@CarbonGlassMan FPV I don't crash either now you got me worried lol don't want mine to go haywire and crash into my neighbor karren and Kevin's property or I'm screwed lol
@@CarbonGlassMan also I wait at least 5 minutes before I plug another battery in maybe that helps 😅
@@CarbonGlassMan and I build my own no rtf
Japan is sub 100g I need hd stabilization under 100g
Probably ok filming, not enough motor
Dude, there are kids watching. So funny.
Con: not 8S.
Looks like heffer compared to how the gep35 did.
Comedy Intro lol
5 inches hurts me.. Until I get my props off.
whoops rules)
The cost for labor in China has doubled since pandemic and is on its way higher This is not going to change in our lifetimes it’s due to demographics.
🤨🤨
Hahaha
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great review.
This frame just looks like trash to me.
let's be honest this is a good 3rd drone
Nobody is gonna buy this quad after looking at this review. :D
bro did a sus intro
Over priced crap.... Imo
