My brother left a bunch if 4's when he left in early1970's. One of them was A Hard Days Night. And yep. I Should of Known Better was on the B side. I played that song instead. Another Beatle's B side I liked was I'm Down. That song was on their Help single. The group Heart released a live rendition of I'm Down on their 1980 Greatest Hits/Live album.
In Australia they had 7 songs that didn't make the Top 20 - Please Please Me (their first charting single here that died at 38 for a single week), Twist And Shout that made 21, My Bonnie which amazingly made 24, Please Please Me which flopped a second time! making 57, Cry Shadow stopped at 28(I bet there were a lot of furious teeny boppers when they heard that one) Ain't She Sweet somehow got to18 (you see, we'd release any Beatle related garbage here), Matchbox (28) and And I Love Her, their biggest dud, which stalled at 62.
@@the_guitar_trooper I think T&S was going around about the time they had the entre top 7 locked down. It might have been a victim of market saturation!
I loved these songs!!!! Then again, I listened to the albums, not 45's, and didn't pay any attention to the Top 100. Ithought all of the songs were great...except Mr. Moonlight. That was just plain weird.
When i was a young boy i loved the "I should known better" track. From Sweden with love.
Another great video! Please keep them coming, GT!

Hey Favorite Old Guy, great stuff again! Thanks!
Great Stuff again, our hometown Radio Stations (Kroy & Kxoa) in Ca. played them all and we didn't read Billboard so yeah Suprise!!!
I'm glad I grew up in Illinois because WLS out of Chicago played all of these songs as often as the A sides.
Odd that these seem to be singles not released in the UK. A record compnasy chasing sales?

Feb. 11, 1964? They played in D.C. on that date.

I recall that when Mr. Moonlight started with that wail from Lennon, I was taken aback.
After this they figured out the double A side.
How could they have been better promoted ??
Maybe re-released as an A side, with an old A side as the B side.
