Watching you all made me appreciative of my journey with self and my relationship and made me realize what I needed to change in self to value my man more and especially after 7 years were at a place of being way better mindful selfaware accountable giving each other ease realizing we're growing learning it's new to us both even after 7 years
I had to realize through my first marriage that love is not a battle field. It's not where your ego goes to prove itself/it's worth. It isn't a place to reintroduce your toxic patterns learned from childhood. And it's not the place to keep secrets.

I think unconditional love tend to come more naturally to ladies, which is why we find ourselves in toxic situations. Not wanting to give up on someone and seeing the potential when we should just leave and Pray for that person from a far.

This is a great episode! I think that I am in a similar position as Jalon(talking to someone long-distance). I think that if a man and woman have been talking and getting to know each other on a daily basis, it is not thirsty if a man decides to take the relationship to the next level. Jalon was already in, but feeling the chemistry in person was ultimately the deciding factor to enter into an official relationship. It was well planned out, and the intention was there. That is something that I believe most women can appreciate. Also, I love the communication notebook idea from Duke as well as the sticky notes from Omar. Thank you guys for sharing!

I don't think I would ever want to love a romantic partner unconditionally. My love is definitely dependent on how I'm being treated. So, if someone is really hurting me and it becomes repetitive, my heart is going to into protective mode.

@49:25, I love to write as well as it helps me process my emotions and thoughts. I know for a fact I wouldn’t want to rely on writing my responses in a book every time I get upset. I say this because in the past, I feared how emotional I got in my responding. I’m learning to just say what’s on my mind. It’s all about processing emotions for me and getting the message across. Without this, I’d get more frustrated when the person is not responding how I want them to when I haven’t even spoken my mind.
