The standard daily routine for any monarch of that time. The author forgot to clarify that after the birth of her second child, Marie Antoinette began to visit Versailles less often, and after the death of the 3rd child of a newborn girl, she completely went to the Petit Trianon and began to do charity work. During her entire reign, she spent 7 million of which 3.7 million for charity and for the opening of Children's Homes. France spent about 200 million on the wars for the Colonies. An ill-considered war is the source of the troubles of ordinary Frenchmen, but not like the Queen.
When they were doing renovations to her apartments in her bedroom they found between the floorboards tiny pins that would have held fabric samples of her dresses she could choose from in her dress book
So you say that MA rose at 8:00 and spent hours getting ready for the day. Then, not 1 minute later, you said she was suddenly all dressed and ready for her day at 8:30, when she met with her ladies in waiting. I think the “facts” aren’t very well known or presented, and from a cursory look at the comments, I may be the only person who noticed this enormous gaffe….I guess people don’t listen….they only look.
