Yeah I went back to world after beating sunbreak and the monsters and palicos feel alive. Immersion goes a long way especially when you only have limited maps to hunt on.
Bro next mh will be crazy good I hope they focus more on the multiplayer part and make the game harder im mostly a solo player but im very interested on playing with people its just too easy unless we play super tuff monsters
As someone who's being literally switching to both, the only thing I've appreciated more in World is the Anjanath's neck and body having different textures as it's dying, like the skin is wrinkling differently. But animation data is almost entirely the same, and I've grown to realize I prefer the artstyle of Rise more for attacks like big fireballs. It's also nice to see that Monsters still have their "idle" animations like sliming a wall to mark territory, they just don't leave a mucus decal there or anything, instead dropping a single item. They simply actually aggro against you instead of yell at you once and go back to walking until you attack them.
@@VTRcomics I also switched back to World after beating the story of Rise/Sunbreak and was reminded that World is just on an entirely different level as an overall experience. 3U and 4U were better overall experiences for me as well. I really hope the next MH takes more after the mainline games again and less after the portable team games which try to focus on flashy combat gimmicks at the expense of everything else. Also, some monsters in World aren't instantly aggressive whereas others are. In Rise the monsters all aggro instantly regardless. World made strides in making monsters behave more interestingly than in past games, such as how they can hang around and still attack each other (and you) with or without turf wars (and I know newbies whined about this, but that's what dung bombs were for). Having two or three monsters in the same zone going at it was a chaos that I got a kick out of in World. It gave each encounter more of a sense of unpredictability (and instead of complaining about Bazel ruining a hunt like some did, I saw it as an opportunity to take advantage of the trips it would cause on the monster I was hunting). You can't even have two monsters going at it in Rise as monsters will always hightail it like their butts are on fire post turf war or wyvern ride. And if they land in the same zone too soon afterwards, one will run away again. Outside of arenas, the game forces one on one encounters no matter what and it feels so artificial. Even the older games where both monsters would target just you were more interesting than that.
I was carving an odogaron, trying to find that freaking gem, then bazel came and decided to feed me with bombs, dives and stomps until time expired... I never found that gem AND i missed two materials from the body and one from the tail
@@polinttalu7102 I beg the differ Magnamalo's Hitboxes are large af they hit behind him and Anjanath's hibcheck rivals Mhfu's Plesioth. And don't let me start talking about Diablos hitboxes wich are working how they want to, because hit tail slam's hitbox is massive and the move were he charges his head to hit the ground is so weird because sometimes he hit's me when im a good meter away from him and sometimes het wiffs me when im standing right inside him.
This was actually extremely annoying back in the old games. I would constantly get stunned while trying to carve the main quest’s monster
True, but did we watch the same 20s video?

This is why in rise monsters just leave when there's a dead/captured/cc'd monster. A pretty nice qol
That ending lmfao
The fact than the cat is named micromania killed me X)
Felyne animation in World is far smoother than in Rise, they look more alive, especially in quest clear screen.

I'm glad they fixed this in Rise. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop small monsters from doing the same.
