Vaal Hazak's roar is one of the reasons he's my absolute favorite Monster. Even after visiting other games in the series. I cannot get enough of the vibe, the fight, the music, even the ecology. It's all so good.
as someone who works at a zoo and has heard lots of animals, it's kinda fun listening to these and trying to figure out what animals they sampled noises from. I hear a lot of tiger growls in these roars
Man I wish I could play this game for the first time again, it was the first game I genuinely got hooked on. Especially when you first get to the coral highlands, it feels like avatar almost, just so different but almost cozy in that your overwhelmed with the urge to explore. In my top all time games list
Not only its roars, but all the Odogaron sounds are absolutely iconic and it the monster so perfectly. The best sound design is when I can close my eyes and see the monster, and Odo is one of the many that fits that bill so well
MHW is my first MH and I gotta say, I can see the monsters while listening to it sounds with my eyes closed. I guess I'm spending too much time on the game lol

I love the way the monsters are animated and how they roar, it’s really well done and I feel that monsters have a lot of personality. Monsters in MH aren’t just NPCs and brutes, they’re like characters with their own personality and you get to know them really well because we fight them so many times and somehow it doesn’t get boring

The roars for World are fantastic, even if a few of them are underwhelming... but I am greatly disappointed with the Zinogre. It had its soul of a ferocious monster torn out of its roar and replaced with generic wolf howls.
The Zinogre roar in its intro cutscene sounds like the old ones but for some reason they didn't use ingame just like Seething Bazelgeuse also had one in the cutscene

"Black Dragon" is a classification rather than a title, used for Elders that the Guild considers too dangerous to be public knowledge. Fatalis is just "the Black Dragon" because the classification was invented after it was first encountered and named after it.

Black dragon is a title given to them, fatalis being the first one given that title and alatreon just being chaotic
"Black Dragon" is a classification rather than a title, used for Elders that the Guild considers too dangerous to be public knowledge. Fatalis is just "the Black Dragon" because the classification was invented after it was first encountered and named after it.
