That Giedi Prime scene in Dune Part 2 is easily one of my favourite movie scenes ever. Everything of it is just phenomenal and Austin Butler played a perfect Feyd-Rautha.

This Feyd and his Giedi Prime is such a pleasure to marvel at, a visual masterpiece that fits Harkonnens so well. I probably wouldn't like the movie as much and the first part of it is lowkey boring on rewatch, but when Feyd comes in it all shifts, he's the highlight of the movie. Makes me so interested in that planet, I wish there was more. I wish HR Giger was still alive to lend his imagination more for this movie, but my babygirl Feyd-Rautha was perfect anyway

I was thinking about this and I believe that the screenwriters made a mistake to kill the obvious bad guys at the end of the second movie because the part three feels somewhat redundant now. I didn’t like the emperor’s daughter- too little even by the way of introducing a character for the next movie (and I am not impressed with the actress’ performance either, but this is subjective). Apart from that, second part is spectacular with little gems like the scene where the boy hero and his girlfriend dance their walk in the dunes.

It would’ve been nice to have this context in the film, but since we don’t get to read characters thoughts in the movie it would’ve been hard to explain this without it being forced exposition
Finally watched the first one (twice) last week. Just saw Part 2 in Imax a few hours ago. This perfectly teases almost all the best parts without really giving too much away to someone who hasnt yet seen either. Fantastic editing.
I can’t help but think that the success of this movie… This time around is attributable to the commitment to the source material I hope Hollywood pays attention to that, and they quit messing with the beloved stories.
Austin Butler's Feyd was the best part of the second movie - debating whether i should go for a third time to watch it just to focus on his scenes - it's been a while since i saw such a good villain on screen. Shame the short screen time. A waste by Denis.
