Actually! If you miss any of these items they will be available at the goldsaucers chocobo races as a prizes, and some of these you can actually get whenever, like kujata, as if you miss it the first time, you can just come back a few times, and eventually it will randomly show 👍👍👍

This is pretty damn good. My only quibble would be, in the description you mention you can dig up Neo Bahamut in Bone Village; it's Bahamut Zero that can be dug up if you fail any one of the Huge Materia quests. They're both missable, which is kind of annoying :D
I remember picking up Kujata with a full materia inventory and not getting it because of it. Good thing my last safe wasn't too long ago. But damn, don't miss out on that one. Edit: Game usually tells you, can't carry anymore materia. But for this one it does not, instead it just deletes it permanently.
Nice vid. Think you can fall off clock at temple to get Nail Bat early. Aerith Princess Guard is also "loseable" if she still has it equipped after Demon Gate! I also remember playing for over 10hrs trying to get Pandoras Box and gave up lol. Discovered years later it's only cast once per playthrough.

I had expected to be disappointed with it, but so far I think it's exactly what the game should feel like. Totally different system and setup but still feels like the same game. You'll enjoy it. Plus it clears up a lot of the stuff that wasn't well explained in the original.
missables are the only FAQs I ever used before completing a game by myself. fuck missable items lol sucks now because we have FOMO all over tons of games now with "seasons", shops cycling cosmetics, etc...

After my friend finally left Midgar for the first time, I asked him to use the Enemy Skill Materia to start collecting abilities. Turns out he was such a moron that he didn't pick it up after meeting Red XIII.
If you looking for perfect game, Gigas armlet and earth mallet also missable ini whirwind maze from gigas enemy. though you can fight gigas in gold saucer battle square, but the chance/encounter rate is very very low
Stealing that really really powerful weapon, (striking staff) for Aeris of that geezer in a chariot creature, early on in the train graveyard, isn't mentioned, also finding titan in that gongaga reactor is easily missable. Interesting that On my ps1 version it is Kjata rather than Kujata.
you can pick up Titan anytime and can buy striking staff at Junon when you first go there on disc 1. all of the weapons in that particular Junon weapons shop you can find before you get there by stealing from enemies along the way from Shinra HQ right up until Junon, not including the aforementioned striking staff, so none of them are really missable
Man, that's a great guide. I am so glad they removed the Barret date achievement from the Steam version's list of achievements. That one is so hard to get!
That Pandora box was so annoying! I spent countless hours hoping for them to reuse it again on my other enemy skills to then find out they only use it once ever!
The caption for Ramuh is backwards. You have to grab it *before* you race. It should also be noted Kujata is missable in the Sleeping Forest only if you attempt to pick it up with a full inventory of materia. It's missing the script to check before removing it from the field.
I missed two pretty big things on my first playthrough; Yuffie and Vincent. I'm not sure if they were missable in the sense that you can't go back and get them, but they are completely optional
Never knew about the behemoth horn until years later. And a few weapons that can be found aren't listed in the guide. Also didn't know the flayer is Cid's strongest weapon
Flayer is Cid's 2nd strongest weapon in terms of overall power, but does have the strongest base power. Venus Gospel has a damage formula which multiplies the damage dealt based on the percentage of Cid's current MP value versus his total MP (More MP, more damage). However, if his MP is very low, it decreases the damage dealt and Flayer would deal more. This sort of reinforces Cid as a Physical attacker and not a magic user, unless you raise his stats using items, but even so his weapon is dependent on not using MP or continually restoring it.
@@jessrivera8225 No, the W-Item glitch still works on the PS4 version. As far as I’m aware, the Yuffie Warp glitch is the only thing they fixed (sadly). With the warp, if you keep a save file on the screen just before you fight Materia Keeper, you can actually learn Trine on all four Enemy Skills at any time. You can also acquire as many Counter Attack materias and Jem Rings as you want from the battle. I’d be interested to know if breeding a gold chocobo with Tifa as party leader was possible on the PS4 version as it involves a lot of manipulation/resetting.
Was going to mention things like the Earth Mallet from Gigas being missable, but I wouldn't consider that "major" since, you know... you really need to be a perfectionist to care about that.

It sucks it gives you 4 enemy skill materia, when you can only get 3 with all the stars. It always bothered me that 2 enemy skill stars were always missing, Pandora's Box and laser attack.
I think it's actually impossible to master all 4 orbs of Enemy Skill materia, by the time you get the 4th one from the Chocobo Sage's house, you don't encounter enemies that use Trine any more, can't think of the others but that's definitely one... Also good luck finding 'Jersey' enemies in the Nibelheim Shira Mansion in the late game to learn '????' too

You missed the enemy Gigas which drops the Earth Mallet item from the first screen of The Crater. If you don't get it there, you'll never get it anywhere else in the game.
also missed Alexander and added cut in the great glacier. added cut is in a transition screen, missed the bagyrisk claw which can only be obtained by stealing from said enemy at low levels under or from the mini boss in fort condor for failing the battle as well as the extra imperial guard from the final version of that fight for the huge materia
The Materia you get from the mayor is Elemental, not Added Effect. And Choco/Mog isn't missable, you can get it from a chocobo that you caught. Tested this myself, so I'm certain of it.
That, Bahamat Zero and Phoenix Materia (all found in the late game) can be dug up at the Bone Village before the final dungeon if missed first time round.

It's pretty annoying that you can go back to Shinra a second time, but get talked out of it. I was gonna go in but Cait Sith comes out and says it's the wrong way to Hojo. So I thought there's probably nothing to go in for since the game is talking me away from it. Now I see theres loads of stuff there. Annoying.

Alexander is very very missable after the snowboard event. Think it requires touching hot water and loctioning a certain place. Been a while since i 100% ff7
if you miss it the first time round you can always head back there later as the great glacier doesn't lock you out, only when you try to climb the mountain does it stop you
Cave of Gi in Cosmo Canyon is without a doubt my least favourite area in the game - and not because it isn't cool as all get-out or that the soundtrack isn't wonderful - because it was so tough to get through! I always seemed to go in there under-prepared, and those spiders...
First mistake I saw was you said this is the PS1 original, but in the video you can see Reno having a "Tough Ring" being stolen. However, it was misspelled as "Touph Ring" in the original PS1 release. Even the Greatest Hits version had the same misspelling.

I never played Final Fantasy 7. Is it possibly to do every side mission and quest possible in one play through? Or is it one of those RPGs where you have to do multiple play through a?
You can do everything on a single playthrough (if you are going for a Platinum Trophy / all Achievements then that's definitely possible) but there are some easily missable sidequests, which is where this video can hopefully be useful.
They're both the same version - I just wanted to make it clear in the headline it's for the original FF7 first released on PS1, and not the full remake!

Yes it is. Only 3 enemies use it - Materia Keeper on Mt Nibel which is a boss you cannot fight again. Second is Stilva on the Gaea Cliffs that you cannot return to once you pass. Third is Godo, who is also a boss you only fight once, and only on disc 1 or 2. Since two of the three chances to learn it pass before you get your fourth & last enemy skill, that means you must wait to fight Godo til after getting the Highwind when you can visit the Sage, and before the raid on Midgar. Otherwise, you miss it. Missable.

Iron bangle, ghost hand and vagyrisk claw are some super missable early items.
I'd say none of them are particularly important, so left them out to keep the video on the focused side!
You missed out the Choc-Mog summon. You get it from talking to the Chocobos at the farm before crossing the swamp with the Midgar Zolom.
You can get it from talking to a chocobo you caught later in the game

Yoshiyuki is a real good sword for that point in the story too. Very worth the look at a rocket.

Yuffie warping helps with certain missable items/skills too but they fixed it for the PS4 version. It works on IOS though 👍

You can equip more than 1 Enemy-Skill per Person and every Materia learns the skill. Helps with Pandoras Box.

They are not missable, you can return to the great glacier at any time
Pretty sure the Added Effect materia you get from the Midgar Mayor if you guess his password first time is missable. As is Choco/Mog.

Technically missable, true, but was left out because a) the specific steps to unlock can be done at any time and b) the chances of you unlocking it then leaving the cave without picking it up is slim.

I've 100% too many times to ever play this again i think. Thank God for the remake, and that the few (puritans) didn't have their way. It's fresh! Not a game i can recite.

Trine isn't missable
Yes it is. Only 3 enemies use it - Materia Keeper on Mt Nibel which is a boss you cannot fight again. Second is Stilva on the Gaea Cliffs that you cannot return to once you pass. Third is Godo, who is also a boss you only fight once, and only on disc 1 or 2.
Since two of the three chances to learn it pass before you get your fourth & last enemy skill, that means you must wait to fight Godo til after getting the Highwind when you can visit the Sage, and before the raid on Midgar.
Otherwise, you miss it. Missable.
