Let me know what you think of the Witch-king of Angmar! Who should I make from Lord of the Rings/The Rings of Power next??
Check me out on Tiktok @aceofclay!
Aslong as its not from rings of power im sure we all will enjoy whatever you decide to do
first up love it but just a little nitpick i have and its the way you pronounced angmar when you said that its not Ang-mar the n is there but its some what silent but again not a problem just had to say something but other then that keep up the amazing work
Here are a few suggestions:
-Sauron
-Cave Troll
-Balrog
-Smaug
-Gandalf
-Gollum
-Shelob
There’s a lot of options 😅
@@draw2death421 Ikr 😂
Treebeard or another Ent would be awesome! I also would love to see you sculpt Radagast with his rabbit sleigh!
Please, please, please, please, please sculpt a L.O.T.R Cave Troll. 😁🙏❤👍
I know this is an odd request, but could you do Eowyn when she’s in her battle armor? I feel like it would be a good piece to fit with the witch king. I’m not gonna say why to spoil it for the audience.
Oh yes, that would be really cool!
and her cutting off the fellbeast's head
i think thats her
It is so awesome that you're doing characters from the LOTR's. I want you to do them all! Please do Gandalf next, maybe Aragorn after. Actually you pick lol!
I'd love to see your take on what all the ring wraiths would look like in there full armour and robes, from this sculpt I know they'd look amazing
Yesssss!!!! I am so excited that you're finally doing LOTR. You gotta do GOLUM or the BALROG, GANDALF, SHELOB, TREE BEARD (ENT), the MOUTH OF SAURON or even BARAD DUR or SAURON himself!! I can't wait to see all the LOTR sculptures you do!!!
Yes my dude. Yes.
You most def need to do more LOTR characters! This was a very well crafted sculpture!
As for that airbrush with the rechargeable air supply, I love it! How long can you air brush with it? And to help clarify on your spattering, several things cause it…one is that there is a plastic sleeve inside the airbrush that may have slipped out of place. It needs to be in its correct spot, or it obstructs the air flow. The other is that you may be using the wrong size needle and tip for the paints you are using. And the last thing of course is the paints. While you can use a lot of cheaper paints, they may be too thick to atomize through the airbrush. So you may need to find a reducer that is compatible with your paints, to thin the paint down.
I do love this sculpture, and I would love to see Gandalf as well as Frodo…..but ANY LOTR character would be sweet!
He looks great. Yes I would like to see more of the Lord of the Rings characters. 👍🏻
The ringwraith could make such a nice diorama while Froddo is trying to wear the ring or Gandalf with Balrog.
This is absolutely 100% the best very video on your channel, I love the filming editing and the dialogue, and I am so so so so so happy someone else loves LOTR, it is absolutely one of the best, how do you feel about the hobbit? Can you make more characters from LOTR??? Sauron? Boromir? Pleaseeeeeee, I need moreeeeeeeee, love the video
Awesome job!!! How about the beast that the witch king rides? Or an Uruk-hai?
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
GIMLI!! Please sculpt Gimli! I feel like people don't show dwarves enough love and I am absolutely obsessed with dwarves. They're my favorite fantasy race. The Witch-King looks amazing, by the way.
I think you should sculpt a Weeping Angel from Doctor Who! But don't blink 😉
Amazingly beautiful! 👏
The splatter, most of the time, is because the paint is too thick or the nozzle is getting logged. I've Used the Createx in the past but for my 0.35mm airbush is too thick. If you want to use some iridescent paints in the future I can recommend The Shifters by Vallejo, they work beautifully.
As Tolkien fan, the rings of power can honestly atm burn. It’s a bastardisation of the universe and the exact reason why only people who have knowledge of the universe should have the right to make it.
I've had most of Tolkien's books since before Jackson thought about a movie, so I'm a big fan. I hope you bounce around making good guys and bad guys in LOTR.
His flowing fabric strips certainly make him look ethereal. More like a demonic ethereal being. 😁😁👋👋💖💖
I'm so excited you're doing lord of the rings!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again... You are SO TALENTED!!
I would love to see Treebeard (ent, the shepherd of the trees), Smaug(the dragon), and an orc that you make up would be right up your alley!
Man you really created great movement with this one. Beautiful work.
Hey! Awesome sculpt! I was wondering if you had done a video of how to sculpt fire yet, like your water tutorial? I have been wanting to make a fire monster sculpture for a while now, but haven't been sure how to approach it...
Once again, so amazing! It's awesome how accurate the proportions are to the official art.
He's amazing! I have definitely got to get some cosclay. Flowy fabrics are impossible with regular clay.
I love him. I’m delighted you are sculpting one of the characters from my favorite movie series of all times. I sure hope you do more! I can’t wait!
He came out fantastic! I think a dwarf would be right up your alley with the incredible amount of detail that would be needed to do one justice! Whatever you decide, I'll be watching.
Nicely done.
So Gollum next?
DO SMEAGOL AND GOLEM AS BOOKENDS
Hello Sir,
I really love your work! It tickles me not end to watch the videos!
The ringwraith is a very good example of your talent! Excellent work! That sculpture is definitely nightmare fuel for me!
I've read the trilogy for years, (about once a year for 6-9years) before the movies were made. Therefore, I am undoubtedly biased.
That said, I absolutely hated the movies on the subject!
The art and talents employed to make them are absolutely amazing, truly!
It just didn't do justice to the books.
If I'd seen the movie first, I wouldn't have ever read the books.
YAY!!!!! Oh Anthony I’m so happy you’re diving into Tolkien!!!! And that shirt looks awesome on you!👏
Hello from Greece !!! Your videos are AMAZING BRO !!! Van you make a DWARF ???
He's wonderfully creepy and perfectly intimidating! Fantabulous!
Greetings from, Limerick Ireland.
Please allow me to compliment your crazy good detail work. The only issue I have is the fact that most of your sculptures look 2-D. They look great from the front but from the side, 2-D.
I love your monster series.
Please do his Pelenor Fields Battle Outfit. HIS HELMET IS FANTASTIC.
WOW!!! DUUDE!!! I’m excited to see you do more. You know we’re going to ask for Golem and Smaug now right!?!?
I cannot express enough the thrill this video is giving me! LOTR 4EVER!!! 🙌🏼
Oh, where to start… Frodo obviously, Gandalf, Gimli, Gollum, the Ent…just for starters
Well looks like you have done it....Very Ghostey and Glowey...i LUV it very COOL✌👍‼‼
2 of my favorite characters from Tolkien's legendarium are both elves, Beleg Cuthalion best friend of Turin, and Gil-Galad the last High King of the Noldor
More LOTR creations in the future🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻 this looks fantastic!
It’ll be tip dry why it’s spattering. Take the needle guard off and pick off the dry paint . Awesome sculpture dude love LOTR myself
Holy Schnikies! This is by far my favorite piece you have done! Yes please explore more from LOTR. My most favorite movie series. Especially watching the appendices in the DAD'S.
LOTR is also my favorite trilogy of all time as well, your Witchking of Angmar is spectacular!!! I hope you sculpt more characters from LOTR!!!! I'm quite fond of the king of the Oathbreakers that Aragon enlists to help in the war.
Jackie from Nerdecrafter was right, you are absolutely amazing! That sculpture is fantastic! You are truly so very talented.
Love the Lizzo reference 👌🏼 I think you should make Glaurung 😉 father of Dragons. Ps you are looking pretty damn fine today. 🥰
I love LOTR! Please sculpt the Uruk Hai leader Lurtz from the Fellowship of the Ring movie. The one that killed Boromir and then was slain by Aragorn.
WHO ARE YOU??!! Where did Anthony go? You been holding out on us! I LOVE THIS!❤️❤️
Oh shiiiiii... f me up with more LOTR sculptures Anthony! 😍😍😍 this guy is flipping magnificent! And I would love to see you grow your airbrush skills as well! 💗
For all you HORROR fans subscribe to Alpha-Mega Productions Films - the first episode of HORRORS AUDIO is released, go listen to it before your end is near!
Will you stick only Lord of the Rings movies? Or will you do other Tolkien characters? Frankly, I'm interested in you doing book-version of Smaug or a dwarf. the movies did not do either justice. Frankly, the dwarves didn't fully fit book version, not short or wide enough. Fili & Kili both were blond and had full beards, not this barely there skruff they have Kili & Ori have.
What about a character that did not appear in any movie= Tom Bombadill. Or Glorifindel (sp?)
The detail is AMAZING on this one. Love the colors on the face. The clothes I think could have been more tattered & worn, and a darker tone like in snow white and the huntsman. Congrats on another awesome CREEPY AF sculpt 😈👏🤘
Would love a Sauron in armor sculpture. Ooo and maybe witchking on fellbeast. Anything lotr with make me so happy
Ouch, I didnt know you were a masochist, watching RoP, especially for a LotR fan is just torture. If prisoners were forced to watch the show it'd be considered a human rights violation.
I love your sculpting and have learned alot about how to. PLEASE do make more LOTR characters, it is also my all time favourite books and movies.
Hi I looking for some help, I’m halfway through my sculpture and stand, but having big trouble with getting motivated to continue with it. Anyone have any suggestions?
Awesome 👍😎 can I scratch your back for you 🙏😉 J.K. Could have given the body more of a realistic, defined shape, and the face I thought could of had more of a realistic face look to it, but then nope, I looked at other pictures of him and it looks just like that 😁 Hope you put more fine details on other Lord of the rings sculpts. ✌️🤟
SOOO GOOOD!!
(Could you put the names of the songs you use in the description pleassee)
Hi! I'm a newbie to sculpting with polymere. I've started with your little owl tutorial. I don't have my clay flattener thingie yet BUT I create the aluminum foil base and then wrapped the clay around it and LUMPS. I cannot seem to smooth it out for the life of me. Is there a trick? With real clay I can wet it and smooth it. For this it's a lumpy disaster. I can't even find a video explaining (what I think) is this rudimentary thing. Thanks! Big Fan!
I like the sculpt, and I'm looking forward to more from LOTHR, thanks!
You mentioned a cosclay (sp) a number of times, remarking that it remains bendable even after baking, which would work perfectly for a sculpt I'm working on. Unfortunately, I don't see it listed among the materials in your description. Any chance you can provide a link? I'd Google it myself, but I'm not sure I'm getting the name right. Thanks, and great video!
I think Radagast the Brown or Beorn would be great for sculpting. Two understated characters but vital to the storyline. I love their unique looks 😊
Do you plan to make the Dark Lord of the Rings you know Lord Sauron the dark lord who forged the rings of power next cuz that'd be cool if you sculpted him next
Yes, PLEASE, more LOTR characters! We need Frodo and Sam at least. Your Ring Wraith is one of your best works so far! Glad to see your new found love of the airbrush, I've used one for decades and they are a superior painting tool. If I were to nitpick, the sword hand grip is a bit wrong for the sword's position with the armature wire underneath but most viewers would not notice it. All in all, a wonderful sculpt!
Oh! Make a fellbeast! I wanna see!!!! Those things are creepy but so cool!!!!!
Gday great video... Airbrushing is great to learn. 😀 FYI you can add the air hose to NerdECrafters spray gun and use it with either the compressor it came with or a better compressor.
FYI The Silver Surfer Marvel Legends was my go to figure to use! He’s a perfect base figure, being he’s literally a very thin ,nude human body, with like 19 points of articulation.
Createx are good quality paints. The spatter sounds like it's to do with your compressor not being strong enough....or you need to thin your paints out. I honestly prefer Paasche Airbrushes, but I know a lot of model makers like and use Iwata.
Your sculpture turned out beautiful! His hair looks like material and the flowing fabric looks like hair. Maybe make his hair have more thickness, much like the lochs of hair on the top of his head. His long hair needs to be more 'tubular', lol....like, totally🤣😃
Can you tell us why you use living doll? You always say why you use cosclay, but I haven’t heard you mention why you use the living doll. Sorry if I missed it.
Awesome work, as always! Out of curiosity: Have you tried using Bake & Bond with Cosplay?
The mouth of Sauron is creepy and terrifying with his lipless mouth. Totally up your ally, in your wheelhouse and just your thing.
I am a fan of Tokens middle earth series too. I use to cosplay The Lord Of The Rings. I tried watching the new series on Amazon prime. Amazon butchered The Rings Of Power. It's badly directed. The character designs are tearable too. They ruined the poetic beauty of the language and middle Earth's magical hue and shine doesn't exist. The storyline falls apart before it starts. They shouldn't have tried to make the series. The director is ignorant and doesn't know anything about The Lord Of The Rings or the author. It shows through his lack of respect for the franchise and his lack of Tokens design and language skills. Token invented a unique language and character designs for his books.
i like everything you do but i love this video ! YOU ARE AMAZING ! will like to see you make a ent (tree creature)
This is incredible! I will be thrilled to anything you chose to make from LOTR.
You know what they say, a wizard is never late, he arrives precisely when he means to. Aka you’re a sculpting wizard.
I love this, and Star Wars, and many other sci-fi things, and like you love these movies, just got done with the series a few weeks ago, now it’s Star Wars. lol also love aviator. So you have a whole bunch of creatures to create. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 can’t wait for the next one.
The 'spattering' while you're airbrushing is due to your paints being too thick (or conversely, your air pressure being too low). Thin the paints a little, or crank up your pressure. Thinner paints usually give you more control, however. Thin paints under high pressure will give you a different problem: splattering, runs, and 'spider-webbing'. Like everything, it takes a bit of practise to dial in the right combinations of settings to suit the equipment and materials you're using.
This looks really awesome! It's too bad he doesn't glow in the dark... That would have really made him POP!
Awesome! Do you plan a whole series with LotR Figures?
Can you build an Ent?
If you ever want articulation, use a Marvel Legends figure as the base and create everything around the Legend figure! That’s how i use to make our custom 6”-9” scale Gi Joe’s and Thundercats!
I’ve always used model molds(using Lego made mold boxes) and using the exact same sculpt putty’s you do! I’m stuck at home right now and was thinking about going back to my childhood roots!
I’m was a prop/fx ,costume designer for some years,so i do life size props aswell!
I actually made the Snake eyes V2 mask for the GI Joe film using that stuff!
Just a few more cool ideas for you to try out,if you haven’t already, which you probably have! Great job! Thanks for the inspiration!
Epic! He looks sunken and sallow as he should (I mean, he is dead) and almost a little sad. He and the others are basically just extensions of Sauron now.
Is it movie-canon that he has fancy robes with buttons? I don't remember, and the shots of them are usually quick anyway.
The istari next please! I know we only really know of Gandalf, Saruman and Radagast but would be fun to design the two blue wizards and have the 5 in one big piece!
I have a suggestion would you be interested in sculpting mythological creatures(not really wellknown)...that would be dope to see your interpretation of it.. I think you made a video about this long ago
I heard this was an amazing piece of Art. They weren't wrong. Epic job mate.
My vote is for Radagast the Brown! He's so wild and nature-y, and CosClay would do him justice.
maybe you should try to sculpt a transformer ironhide into a zombie transformer. your detail is amassing so i thought maybe a transformer is a challenge
Awesome project! Gollum would be a nice one, too. Just watched The Fellowship the other day for the millionth time. I love the movies so much and I also love the new series. Also I read all the books of course. Another huge fan here!
You really really really really really need to sculp the kelpie. The kelpie is one of my favorite conspiracy animal things that I love.
Love the different style of sculpting! Fantastic piece of work
With regard to airbrush spatter, chances are your paint is too thick. The more thinned your paint, the less spatter you get. Rough rule of thumb is your paint should be the consistency of milk. Hope this helps.
Wow, just wow. this is so fabulous! you have such mastery of your craft, and dedication. I am so a fan now! (just found you today) thank you for sharing!
So glad you finally pulled the trigger on airbrushing!!! *Pun Intended*
You should have used translucent/glow in the dark clay
When sculpting something like this, that isn't an original character do you use reference images? Do you have them all in front of you while you sculpt or do you try to give it your own flair and work from memory/only occasionally using references?
Please make thorin from the hobbit because one, he’s my favorite and two, the hobbit and the lord of the rings are such good movie Series
Please do Gollum, the balrog, Gandalf and Smaug these are my other favorite characters
Very satisfying to watch the airbrushing! And oh my gosh your hands are so steady with those fine details, I have lady hands and I'm impressed. I'm no sculptor but you make me want to try it anyway. Your work is masterful!
@aceofclay I would love to see your version of a dementor from Harry Potter! This turned out great!!!
I have an idea for a new hero from the mutant universe: Alice the tiger guide a child like Otto but stronger she has a great sense of hearing and sight she wears a skirt, long pants, long sleeve shirt, and gloves she carries a knife her mask looks like a white tiger when ever she sees you she’ll think you’re a mutant until she realizes that you aren’t she has a power to tell who’s a mutant or not rumors spreads that she’s is Howler’s child but no one knows she doesn’t like talking to people but Angor, Howler, Mangle,
Depermer, (Sorry if I said her name wrong) and the other guides and that’s the story of Alice the tiger guide
I also purchased Iwata eclipse airbrush and yep their is a learning curve, the clean up of airbrush gets easier though as I was kinda tentative when first started. The right paint does matter I realized too. Great sculpt as always!!
Rings of Power was awful I couldn’t even finish the first episode.
Many white paints will have trouble being air brushed. You will often need to thin down white paints more than other colors whenever airbrushing with whites.
Unfortunately you get that a lot with white primer or white paint even ink does the same spattering. I found using 100% Tamia thinner does help reduce the spattering but there is still going to be a little but not noticeable. It's something about white paint.
