Micheal Angelis was my favourite narrator. He had such energy. Now he’s taken the Red Balloon to a place as beautiful as Henry’s Forest in the land beyond the horizon. May he rest in peace 😢
I remember watching the Michael Angelis era of Thomas & Friends. I enjoyed his energetic style of narrating, though I always preferred Ringo Starr. May he rest in peace, and it's only a matter of time until Ringo joins him. Rest in peace, Michael Angelis.

Ever since I came to the Thomas community 12 years after I was born, living in USA, I highly liked Michael Angelis as the narrator since I started watching the model series after Ringo Starr (acted as narrator for S1 and S2). 2020 was truly a sad time for Thomas the tank engine community when this happened. Thank you Michael Angelis for giving us laughs, entertainment, and most of all, enjoyment. Rest in peace ;-;

Michael Angelis was my favourite narrator. The voices he gave to each character felt like how they would talk if trains really did have faces. And he always put the right emotion into the scene. Along with Michael Brandon. He didn't overdo it like Alac Baldwin who always sounded like he looking for an Oscar. Nor was he too soft like George Carlin and especially Ringo Starr. May he rest in peace 🙏
I'm italian there wasn't any TV channel that put on Thomas and Friends, so my mother downloaded episodes of the series in the UK version, and hearing the narrator made me always happy, I learned a good part of my english with this cartoon, and all the episodes were with him as the narrator, obviously I haven't been seeing the series for a long time, but sometimes I spend a few minutes watching some episodes I used to watch, when I heard about his death, I realized the big role he had in my childhood. As someone who grew up watching the British version of TTTE Hearing that the narrator i liked the most died has left me absolutely gutted. This is easily the most heartbreaking bit of news i’ve heard all year.
He may long gone, but atleast he happily retired in the afterlife and met the creator who made Thomas and friends franchise before he passed away. RIP the legend actor, Michael Angelis.
Growing up in the 2000s, the only Thomas narrators I knew were Ringo, Baldwin, George, and Michael Brandon. It wasn’t until I discovered that my grandparents had kept a dvd by the name of New Friends for Thomas and Other Adventures was I immediately introduced to Michael Angelis. I’ll admit, I didn’t like him at first, but when I found a VHS tape with his dub and multiple episodes of him dubbed on UA-cam, I realized that he’s been making waves in the UK Thomas dub for a long time. Loved the way Angelis narrated. I remember my dad used to laugh at how he voiced Duncan said "It's as tame a pet rabbit" and Gordon's "Uh-uuuuh" before the avalance fell on him in "Snow".
Michael Angelis’ narrations of Toad Stands By and Thomas and The Jet Engine helped them become some of my favorites. I grew up with George Carlin’s, but I liked Michael Angelis just as much. It’s funny how I wouldn’t even have know about his narrations if I hadn’t watched the VHS “New Friends For Thomas”. I loved his narrations of those stories and it made me want to hear more of him! Little did I know the narrator of that video has had much more affiliation with Thomas than any other narrator on the show. Thank you Angelis. May your legacy be remembered by many Thomas fans. R.I.P Michael Angelis the passing of Michael Angelis, which saddens me greatly. Known in Britain as a gifted comic and character actor, to international audiences he is best recognised as the UK narrator of "Thomas & Friends", having performed the role across two decades and 14 seasons. Angelis' warm, fatherly voice entertained and comforted us during our early years, and continues to bring us joy today. We pay tribute to him and his contributions to the series.

I’m so sad to hear he’s gone. Like you, hearing Michael on the New Friends for Thomas tape when it first came out in 2004 was certainly a big change when my 11 year old self popped in the tape, but towards the end, his voice grew on me. I was surprised to hear him suddenly disappear on the Steamies vs Diesels tape when it came out, but I instantly recognized his voice again when I listened to the original UK narrations (and let me tell you, before hearing more of the UK narrations, I had no idea Thomas was a British show; I know, I’m gonna sound American for saying that 😅) and grew attached to it. This was a great tribute. I’ll forever miss him.

Fair to say Michael was the perfect James voice. He also had a ton of fun with season 6, his energy is amazing!
Angelis is considered to as the best narrator to what is considered to be one of the best Children’s shows of all time.

R.I.P Michael Angelis
the passing of Michael Angelis, which saddens me greatly.
Man, I grew up with him as the narrator, I just love the voices he did for the characters, he will always be my favourite thomas narrator.
Rip Michael Angelis, you will be missed😢
He died from Heart Attack and He's in Heaven with George Carlin that also died from Heart Attack too.
David Mitton is also in Heaven, and so are Peter Fonda, and Wilbert Awdry.

Rest in peace, Michael. You may be gone from this plane, but you will never be forgotten.
This was a fine tribute to the wonderful narrator Michael Angelis.
Michael Angelis was a great narrator, his voice will always remind me of Thomas and friends.
Michael Angelis is no doubt one of the people that help bring thomas to popularity.
This has really broke my heart Michael was my favorite narrator for the series that I watched every single day of my entire life since I was 4 years old and having a really huge stack of thomas toys and dvds RIP Michael Angeles 😭😭
