Hi Leon :) Time to use protection I'm not talking about sex, but eye protection. You must be a good example for everyone:))An accident can happen at any time. Thank you for all your great videos!!
Did one before Christmas on a Berlingo, the tank is just a holder, the fluid comes in a sealed bag that goes into the holder and clip the pipe on, re set and job done
That PAT Fluid allows the DPF to burn off the soot at lower temperatures, which is kind of clever, safer than a dry system. The way it used to work on PSA engines was the pump in that little tank would dose the PAT Fluid only after you removed the fuel tank filler cap. It assumed you were filling the fuel tank with for example 55L. So it dosed a set amount for an assumed full tank of fuel 55L. The moral of the story dont do multiple diesel fills at the garage i.e 20euro here, 20 euro there.. Let the fuel tank run low and fill to the brim with diesel. That way the PAT fluid last longer because its not doing multiple doses when u remove the fuel filler cap. Not sure if this is still the case.
most mechanics blame PSA cars to be crappy and all of the bad things, but you should blame yourself for not knowing how to do maintenance to these cars...but it's good that you got it right at the end as forced regen. won't tell the car that you filled the DPF additive.
Cheap aftermarket PAT fluid works nowhere near as good as the genuine stuff from PSA or Eolys branded aftermarket. Refilling these is easy, took me 15 minutes on the driveway and not one drop spilt with the genuine kit that only cost £120. This system is actually very, very good. Lowers combustion temperature of the soot which lowers risk of DPF cracking, decreased fuel consumption etc. It's why PSA hasn't moved on but just refined it.
Hi, how would you compare Xtool D9 Pro to Autel, or Otofix D1 which you have been used before, and which one do you like most? Can you do some comparison video about diagnostic scanners?
So you filled it through the overflow pipe on the PAT/DPF tank and didn't use the the proper fill pipe or attachment that you disconnected from the overflow pipe (the one with the green (or white of blue) tabs, using adaptors with fill kit), e.g thats why the pipe was too loose on the overflow,, also all you need to do is pull back the wheel liner, disconnect the filler pipe and connect the bottle using the correct adaptor to filler pipe, apart from that fine job, you also should only have needed to go into service function to reset additive tank, no regen required, good nights entertainment, keep up the vids😂🤣🤣
"Can only do what I've been told" covers a multitude of sins 🙊 good man 😂 2017 caddy power loss,no codes no lights.injectors changed last year apparently and fuel filter changed last week have you come across it? Any help greatly appreciated thank you
Top Gear said it themselves when Clarkson, Hammond and May took the mick out of Peugeot making terrible cars with their little re-enactment of a meeting in Paris
Think you will find they didn't know they had a PAT/DPF tank, they were probably only aware they had an adblue tank, as the PAT/DPF tank is effectively hidden, so the only time the owners are made aware is when the "SERVICE" light and "Warning Engine Fault" appears, and yes, it does not state additive low in the warning either, you need a fairly decent diagnstic scanner also. This looks like it only flagged as a failure at 158k miles, hence the owners would never know it existed. Good old Peugeot😡 So it's not really a question of how did they let the tank run dry !!
Peugeot Citroen and newer Vauxhalls are just such bags of shit. I use to say landrovers are the worst cars you can buy but honestly these days I say Peugeot Citroen and Vauxhall are just as bad if not worse
The little electric pumps normally pack up on them pieces of shite tanks and they are bonded in so have to replace the whole tank. My kit came when I bought it years ago with the same connector that clips onto that tank and came with a net bag over the bottle so I could hang it from a hook off the vehicle. The first one I ever did I nearly dropped in a heap when the dealer told me the price per litre back when this system was used and needed refilling it was £76.24 + vat the car owner nearly had kittens when I told him and he needed the full 3ltrs safe to say I got told by owner "well I'm selling it soon so can you only put 1ltr in" so I stuck in what he wanted and surprise surprise I seen him about 8 months later he was still driving it.

I just fitted a new bag on mine 😂
On this the tank is a tank, yes some have bags but not on a 508.
I have No knowledge of these pdf systems so I am glad you have but it great to follow for future ref so thanks for the Video
Yes please would love to see the ecu repair.

Hasn't been the case for a very long time.
Turn the lights and fan on full bore for faster engine heating, but Leon knows that !

BMW Mini and 1.6 D and Volvo 1.6 DrivE had this same setup Leon it used the same HDI engine.
You put the poo in poojo, others make em purr as in purrjo

Better off with launch x431 pro elite

L - "Don't get this stuff on you, it's nasty stuff...."
Also L.... puts pipe in mouth to blow the fluid through....., 😂😂
PSA best cars
Zawsze powtarzam znajomym, nie wazne jakie masz auto, ale jakiego masz mechanika, są tacy co każde auto zepsują...
I think Ford stopped using it on the focus 2010
I think Ford used the Peugeot engine, they just renamed it.
I don't understand why the owners let the tank run dry in the first place

Do not let that stuff get on wireing it kills everthing ask a hgv mechanic
tak to jest jak sie połączy odwrotnie, ten mechanik upośledzony jest?

Back in the day my mates and me called Peugeot cars Pigots!

People always say that, and then keep it. Always worth doing properly or not at all as most of the time it comes back to bite you.
Peugeot sell the entire kit with 3 litres for £120 at the dealer... did mine a couple of months ago
They’re using it to give their owners £20 tax per year and Ford use the Peugeot hdi engine in their cars 😉
The best way to fix it is to delete it
Hi Leon
Hi
You're saying peugeot wrong, its poo-go 🤣
We call it 🐫piss 🤢👍
Purr-geot not Pew-geot please Leon. Pew-geot is making my ears bleed. Thanks
