Supply planes were nerfed pretty hard. The supply they gave when the patch first released was insane though.

P.S: If You have time a complete begginer guide for hoi4 would be great. Realy want to play this game, but am feeling overwhelmed by the amount of stuff in it
I would recommend scumydog’s tutorials, the old and the new German ones, he explains every single detail in simple terms, that’s what helped me the most

i'd recommend you go and play the game without no step back or man the guns to understand the core and then after you understand them you can learn navy and the rest.
best tip: play germany, soviet or japan to learn the game. Not any minor nations, that wont teach you the game at all.

Yeah, Asia is essentially an attrition blob even harder than it was before
It's historically true tho.. Japanese troops were not eating for almost a month from what I know.. and some die due to starvation

i believe supply per transport plane got reduced %80 percent. 1.2 to 0.2

I remember when I used to play hoi4, I was never able to destroy the french as germany because I always stacked like 20 tank regiments onto a single province lmao
A year later and this still helps. I'm only 60 hours in and some of this clarified things so thanks from the future sir!

Hoi4 is one of those games where if designed a bit differently could have multiple people playing one country. It would be really cool, but maybe impractical, to have a multiple generals for fronts, diplomats, scientists, engineers, etc.
In ways you all would be on the same team, but competing for supplies with eachother to complete your independent goals.

That makes a lot of sense. The only thing I can think of to make it marginally better is make it so that your supplies come from the actual regions where they are being produced rather than from the capital.
I haven't played this game in a long time off to give it another go

Additionally you can directly attach transport planes to your army for less micro.

why a lot of division in one province can't get enough supply? even when the nearby supply hub has enough capacity? (let's assume a certain supply hub has capacity of 30 and a lot divisions requires 20 supplies and they stay in the province that is right next to the hub)

I have a ussr game going and I'm massing on the German border getting ready for then to invade no matter how many railroads I upgraded couldn't

So what if you can't build supply hubs in enemy territory? How do you keep supplies up?

I've just moved over from eu4 to hoi4, I prefer eu4 because I know how to fuxking play it. Hoi4 looks so much fun though, I wish I'd spent 1000+ hours on this instead now

Anyone can explain why my supply hub provide has a "supply connection from capital" of 14.9 despite having a lvl 5 rail between them ??

Actually, the AI improved quite a bit. It's actually decent now most of the time
@@sheikranl3949 last time I played, a couple of months ago, AI was constantly suiciding all their troops in the most ridiculous naval invasion possible, and when I had a naval invasion planned somehow they never have any army to defend... stopped playing because of it.
@@sjwarialaw8155 In those area's the AI has improved a lot. Seeing an unguarded port is pretty rare after this update and D-Day is an actual concern for any Germany player

God i hate new system, it's really not logical, for example somehow russians dont have any kind of problem with supply, i did load their save and all units are green, when as britan i have much much more supply hubs, bigger ports and a lot of fucking convoys+ better infrastructure.
And everysingle devision have like fucking 6% of supply. Fuck it im uninstalling this shit game.

One detail I love is how paratroopers are much more important in this new update than before. Ever since the nerf to the special forces, they more or less existed to snipe victory points and force a surrender. While it is still valid, now you and deploy them onto key supply hubs to undermine defenses.
Apart from PTs being banned in many MP lobbies I do enjoy using them when possible, seizing a relatively deep supply hub and train network is hugely impactful now.
I wish you could move divisions between airports as you can sea ports as long as you have the transport planes for it. Capping a high level airfield and then feeding an army into the pocket would be lit.

Very useful, I couldn't find any guide explaining supplies, my best guess is they added more detailed mechanics with some dlc before those guides were made.
I've played other Paradox games, but HO4 barely has anything similar with EU4\CK2. Combat for example is helluva lot more detailed compared to EU4, which was already somewhat complex to begin with, and CK2 is basically "have bigger number = you win".

Ok what i don't get is why when im not drilling or in low supply areas why do my guys still loose guns and stuff? Are thy just smashing the stocks against rocks and kicking AA guns over clifs?
