Came here from that 4 hour 'tutorial' and thanks so much for making a much shorter and concise video. I can focus on aspects I need instead of listening to an opera of everything. The cutscenes are just the icing on the cake!
Just got the game and started as Germany. declared on Czechoslovakia with some of my troops and within a good 1:30 seconds I had been occupied entirely by Czechoslovakia.. thanks for the tutorial
the one thing I would add is that signal companies are still very useful. while in the past the initiative only effected how quick a division could join a battle which was rather negligible. after I believe it was no step back signal companies now multiply coordination which allows for a higher chance for divisions to concentrate attack on a single target extremely useful for any offensive division especially when you may be at a numbers disadvantage. it shortens battles and evens the odds because if you can destroy frontline divisions before they can reinforce you automatically win the battle and advance which can be really useful when making a breakthrough.

So, if I set supply hubs to not provide my allies with supplies, they are likely to move out of the area? I'll have to try this - last game, I was preparing for a defensive war against a stronger opponent, and my plan was to build a line of defenses not at the very border of my territory, but deeper in, leaving a belt of territory that the enemy was supposed to take without a fight, but then they would hit my defensive line, while they would be starved for supplies. This way they would also be far away from their airfields and radars, while right under mine. But, the moment the war started, my ally decided to move their troops in to defend that unfortified sacrificial belt of land... silly AI allies xD Of course, ultimately, my allies would be pushed back until they retreat into my fortified positions, but next time I'll try the supply hub trick to see if I can encourage the AI to leave my defense to me, and focus their forces on their frontline instead.
The Panther was a good tank killer, I'd prefer the T-34/85 in general though because the 85mm would be better for destroying fortifications, personnel, artillery placements, the list goes on. The Panthers 75mm HV is specifically for tank killing because it was crucial for the allies, Soviets especially, to launch offensives with. Aside from high penetration, range and armor, it was unreliable, complex to fix, expensive: not nearly as good in a strategic or even tactical sense.
Not a very useful video. You don't even tell how you use command power to get new Commanders. The menu you show while stating you can buy more Commanders doesn't show any button or even tiny hint. Just a list of Commanders you have, a "Show Field Commanders" button, and an "Unassign" button. I suggest when making a tutorial, you actually show how you do something instead of talking about it for 5 seconds and calling that information while spamming most of your video with random cinematics that don't help whatsoever. You seem to skip over a lot of things that come up on a playthrough in general for military.
I made this simple in order to give a basic understanding of the game as I would have wanted when I started the game. Its not supposed to cover every single thing, just enough to play and enjoy the game The reason there arecinematics is to keep things fun and engaging, listening to someone drone on and on staring at a map is boring.
@@Hammurabae You've missed my point entirely. Not covering every single thing in existence is fine. But don't half-ass what you do choose to cover. The topics you did choose to cover, you blew through with little actual explanation.
12:30 "Reinforce rate" doesn't dictate how fast your divisions regain org, that is handled by "recovery rate". "Reinforce rate" handles the chance that a division has to reinforce into the actual combat from reserves. Still a crucial stat, but very different. I also feel that while "initiative" is not that useful, its impact and function should have still been showcased.
Where is that link to the video you recommend on tank design? Also, air design guide when? Is it part of the 2 unavailable videos in your tutorial playlist?
Never found one I really liked and that was updated. I will put out the air and tank guides some time, but have a lot of other content backed up right now.
If you create a battle plan with your field marshal and then create a separate battle plan for one of the generals under them, and activate both, what happens? Does one override the other or do they interact in some way?
I believe if neither has their battleplan activated you get the bonuses from the field martial as he overides. If you activate the battleplan for one or the other you get the active ones stats. But yes field marshal overules. I think I covered it in the video but if nto there is a trick to set a battle plan with the field martial and garrison a neutral countries territory with the general allowing you to get stats and planning bonuses on the border but be able to manually move them without div org loss.

I don’t use Field Hospital because others said so, I use Field Hospital because I don’t want to deny healthcare to my men. We are not the same.
Yeah, seems cruel to deny them medical care. I always add medical.

The 1 infantry 1 artillery is my favourite template 😱
mass assault doctorin is underrated. it can reduce -30% of supply and it is important especially for bad terrain
It definitely has its uses. If you start as a low industry country with lots of manpower its a good choice
its a godsend for japan, thats 30% less convoys too
A very, very well made and compact video. Really enjoyed the cutscenes!
Thank you!
i really enjoyed your video!!
Good history footage, cool video!
"Much like the modern United States";) I love it
with everything being so essential, loki would be your name i imagine. ciao bello
Where is the linked video for how to design tanks?
Signal not needed. Oh how the turn tables.
This needs an update for sure at some point. Most of it is still accurate though
Please, reduce music volume next time.
thank you!
how do you show the game interface details that explain something, just by hovering the mouse over it?
Yep! Exactly

Im hear because of the great sandbox mod
Whats that?
Still don’t understand navy
(I don’t think anyone will)
Tutorial for that coming next week 🤌
thanks for the tutorial :3
6:40 - Aren’t armored cars slightly better for garrison duty than Calvary?
Yes, but theyre very costly to produce.
Music is very distracting would be good if the volume was a lot lower.
What about special forces doctrines?
Where are the video cut scenes from? They look really cool.
looks like a game trailer im not sure world of tanks maybe. and some real life footage
I need this tbh cause I still suck
Aint no way a dude who made a lab in canada in roblox wants to make a lab in canada in hoi4

lol what a lie panther is way stronger than t34-85 and imagin t34 shoot very good and panther crew are blind 😃
It's from a Russian movie I think so that's probably it haha. I just thought it was cool cinematography and would be fun to watch while learning.
t34-85 could pierce a panthers front from 1km

same here - I've learned the order of researching national focus in the early parts but not a lot else...
Me at 400+ hours using the same templates since the 200 mark and sucking at combat 😢
