FAQ:
Who is this lady?
Gina Petitti was born in 1935 in Faeto, Italy. Her family ran a farm in Italy and she met her husband, Vito, in the same town. In 1970 Gina, Vito, and her 4 children immigrated to America. Gina’s husband passed away in 2012, but she is surrounded by a large family, which includes 9 grandchildren, and lives 5 minutes away from her eldest daughter in New Jersey. Gina spends her time cooking, gardening, and being an active member of her local Church.
Where does Gina get her recipes?
Most of these recipes are from what she learned growing up in Italy, but some of them have evolved over time. She has also learned new recipes from friends and family in America. She is always eager to try new things.
Why is no one helping her in the video?
Grandma Gina doesn’t want help! Usually, it’s because we will slow her down or not do it “her way.” For the videos we only show her, but when the camera cuts we jump in and help form the cookies or prep for the next step.
Why don’t we buy her a new...?
Grandma Gina has a closet and garage full of new gadgets, spoons, forks, pots, etc… but she doesn’t like them because she is used to doing it with her old tools. She has fun getting her hands dirty!
Who is behind the camera?
Her retired son-in-law films, her daughter helps her prep, and she usually has one or two grandkids in the kitchen.
Does Gina read the comments?
We print out and show her how much love she gets from all her viewers, and she is very thankful and hopes you enjoy her cooking! Your comments bring her lots of joy, laughter, and inspiration to make more videos to share with you.
Thank you for watching, we hope you subscribe, and we will see you in our next video! - Навчання та стиль

Difficult not to love this lovely lady. God bless you Gina. Toni, from Canada 🇨🇦.
I felt something celestial when she sang the song. I have a tear in my eye. I will play her song again.
I love how you sing your Gramma's songs especially how you love Jesus!
🙏♥️💖🙏💖🙏💖
She is the best. Stands out above all other chefs. Original can't be. Better than that. She is perfect
Why would jerks give a thumbs down she is one of the loveliest women on the web so sweet, gentle and balls to sing infront of strangers. Sharing her family recipes smiling and telling her cute stories.
Thank you so much 💗 Happy Easter 🐣✝️🙏🌈🐰💕
This woman needs her own cooking show. She's so great to watch
I’ve always shied away from people who sing solo. But when Grandma sings, I freeze. I love to watch and hear her sweet voice, and songs of olde time. She’s such a treat.
May you live a long and healthy life beautiful Nona Gina so you cook for us many more years to come. You are the best you cook from your heart everybody enjoys watching you.
I love how she chooses the best timing for singing. Not when she is in the middle of cooking but when she is 100% sure that everything is okay. Love you Gina and God bless you. Stay safe please❤️❤️❤️
How can there be any thumbs down? This lady is so sweet!
Right! They must not be Italian or just rude. She’s so sweet.
I love how she makes the Sign of the Cross for the dough to rise. She is precious!
I just love her she reminds me of my Italian grandma who passed away in 2000 ... I also love her recipes that she is making..it brings back memories from my Italian grandma.... I'm going to try this Easter bread today.

Beautiful to learn from someone like this lady
This video brought back so many memories of my grandma growing up in Brooklyn, NY. I remember the Easter bread she made was exactly like the ones Gina made here. I'm 66 years old now and grandma is long gone, but I still have the rolling pin she always used and use it whenever I bake. These cooking and baking traditions are so important to keep alive from generation to generation. Grazie mille, Gina.
Where are you from in Brookly?
We are also from.Brooklyn
MY GRANDPARENTS MOVED TO Long Island in the 60's. My family all.lives in Suffolk County by MACARTHUR Airport!

Happy Easter dear Grandma, you are so sweet and thank you so much for your Easter bread recipe!
Thank you Grandma Gina! My kids love this Easter bread. This is my 4th Easter making your bread and my children ask for if it slips my mind...lol! New family Easter tradition for us, God Bless You!
“I don’t know what to say...it’s bread!” 😆 love her!! 💕💕💕💕
Such a sweet lady! She has a magic touch with all her cooking!!
I love GRANDMA I always feel better after she sings a song I thank GOD for you.
I absolutely love the way Italians speak English. For me it's like, the words are adorned with flowers and glitters. Its sooo beautiful. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Oh Gina what have I done! I made your Easter bread and give it away as gifts and now all I hear is “When are you going to bring me more of that delicious bread. I just bought 50 pounds of flour! LOL I love your recipes and you remind me of my mother who was born In Asiago
lidia bonini Yes,
I have been there many times- absolutely charming city. My favorite Asiago dessert is called Ortigara torta. Have you heard of it?
lidia bonini the rest of my family is from Bassano del Grappa- I have many great childhood memories of visiting there.
lidia bonini I still have cousins in Bassano, from what I hear, Covid is still requiring lockdowns. How are you doing in Tuscany?
I love her videos. She looks and talks so much like my Mom. My Mom passed away in 2013. I used to watch my Mom cook all the time and watching Gina brings back so many fond memories that it makes me miss my Mom so much, sometimes I start to cry because I think of my Mom and how much I miss her . I know she is in heaven and I will see her some day.
We lived in New Jersey too. Keep making these wonderful videos. You are a treasure. God bless you and your family!! Lots of love!! ♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏

I started watching grandma Gina during this covid-19 era .I love her so much ,her recipes are so amazing I am trying out all her recipes .Amazing every time I watch her I forget about all this craziness happening.
Me too, I just made her Easter Bread and everybody loved it, I can't wait to make all here meals. I'm so glad I have her as my adopted grandma.
She so patients with the instructions. So cute Nice song
Grandma Gina just makes my heart happy, God bless you Grandma Gina! I can't wait to try this recipe. 😘❤
After adopting several of your recipes, I decided to buy the e-book (Kindle) so that I could have them at hand in my tablet. The recipes are so clearly written, however my conclusion is that there’s nothing better than the videos, where we can actually enjoy your presence and sweet personality trying to transmit to us your culinary knowledge up to the minimum detail. Thank you grandma, God bless you and keep you in good health for many, many years! ❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
My mom used to make this every year. When she developed breast cancer and had a mastectomy she lost strength and could no longer roll the dough. I had to go to her house and roll the dough. Your video brought back those great memories. Haven't thought about that in years. She's gone now 28 years but great memories. Thanks.
May your mom soul continue to rest in heavenly peace
I love how she notes that God raises the dough! In all of her recipes where risen dough is used, she adds the yeast but she gives God the credit for actually raising the dough. You have great wisdom Gina, wisdom that's born of years of experience that's been passed down in your family and passed on to your children and their children, just like it's supposed to happen.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes. I was taught to make the sign of the cross over the dough by my grandmother. So I do.
AMEN 🙏🏽
Gina most definitely was raised by wonderful Christian parents hard-working and Great Cooks
@@1960leeannyes I still do that to every dough & cheese I make
I will always make the sign of the cross when I am raising dough, from now on!
Oh just like my Italian mama made it! I have all her recipes but this one doesn’t have the measurements, so now because of a Italian Grandma I have it!! Can’t wait to make this for Easter! 🥰Graci! Buona Pasqua a tuti!

Gina's easter songs this year got me very emotional with what is happening everywhere. Thank you Gina ❤ All my prayers to our neighbors in Italy and Spain, to the US may you all be protected, please guys stay confined at home as what we are living in Europe is just the most awful time of our lives. May we all be united against covid19 this Easter. Be safe. Love from France 🇨🇵🇺🇸🙏 and Gina I will make those easter breads this year thinking about you and your beautiful songs. God bless you ❤😘

Thank you Nonna Gina. My family was from Caserta...I miss their cooking and baking. What a wonderful reminder to take it slow and remember our heritage through our traditions and foods. What a special gift you are. Thank you.
My German mom made bread like this and made the sign of the cross before cutting first slice. Nice memories.
Two ovens...so Italian 💖💖💖
Absolutely love her. Like cooking with your Italian grandma. Lots of fun. I'd come home from school and she would be baking or frying veggies just to get me to eat them. Eat! Eat! You like. Boy do I miss her.
🥰. In these difficult times you are a pure joy to watch. I remember making Easter bread with my Nonna many years ago. Making bread feeds the soul. Showing a whole new generation watching the old method of preparing a meal, & making bread especially is better than anything to keep us calm.❤️😘❤️👍👍👍👍👍🤗
🙏 Faith & Family ❤️
Bless you, Nonna Gina, for sharing your recipes, your smile, your faith, your stories, & your songs with everyone. 🇮🇹
Buona Pasqua!
These songs are not Italian. There is no "j" in the Italian alphabet!
A modern lady who appreciates and values tradition. I loved your style and presentation. You brought back lovely moments of the past when I used to help mum in the kitchen preparing for Easter. God Bless you grandma from Italy.
You just brought my Grandma back to me for a little while ! I have been baking Easter Bread on my own for 40 years but I learned as a baby watching my Grandma in the kitchen as it should be .😂
If y’all haven’t read the background story of this sweet lady kindly hit that lil’ thang that looks like a downward arrow...although it points downward it is nothing of such. A Blessed soul and I am so grateful to have crossed paths with you and yours. I love you. 🙏🏻🥰🤟🏻
Just wanted to say that Gina, you have such a beautiful soul! You remind me so much of my Nonna that passed away last year. She would have LOVED watching you and your recipes. Were from Massachusetts and know how important the Italian culture is and how important it is to carry on past family recipes. My Nonna was from Bonito Italy. Thank you for making me feel so happy while watching these videos
Ineria Smith. Memories are so precious, stay safe, 🤗. 👋🐢
My mother used to make this every year. Thanks for the reminder. I will be making this at Easter.
My absolute favorite. But we like a little anise extract or anise seed in the dough. Beautiful.

I made it last night and it tastes quite close ti my dads. I suppose the difference is the commercial baking oven (my dad was an Italian bread baker). Great memories! Happy Easter

It doesn’t matter what you’re making just watching you is making my life much more enjoyable
Thank you for this video ! It brought back to mind such a happy memories of Easter morning..going to my grandparents after church for lunch with the extended family..with all the noise loud talking eating and laughing over the meal. And then this fabulous bread with the colored eggs and sprinkles served with hot espresso ☕️. And my Gramma's contented smile as we praised her for it! Love you !
Dear Gina,
I'm a Turkish guy who lives in Germany. I've been watching your videos for so long, and I just wanted to express my gratitude for the feeling you give while you're making your amazing Italian food. The way you explain the recipes, the way you find your way around the kitchen, and the softness of your voice (especially when you sing your Italian folk music) reminds me so much of my own grandma, who is no longer with us. She was the reason I'm obsessed with cooking so thank you for making me feel like I'm watching her again.
We have a special and exclusive way of expressing our respect to the elders in Turkey, and it's by kissing the hand (pretty much like one would kiss a Capo's hand) and then touch the hand on our forehead. It's the ultimate way of showing respect and humility. Please accept my virtual hand kisses, and share more of your amazing recipes. I can tell that you have a very loving family, because the apple does not fall far from the tree, and I wish you a long and happy life with them.
Grazie mille e cordiali saluti!
Beautiful words ❤❤👍

Thank you for displaying how to not waste food by getting every little bit, a concept people these days need to think about. The time may come they will be very glad they did.
She is adorable 🥰
This brought so many wonderful memories of my Italian Grandma and watching her cook and bake, when I was a child. Thank you for bringing those memories of a special woman in my life, back. Grandma called this Egg Bread. I think I will make one this Easter. I hope Grandma would be proud! Blessings!
Love you Nonna Gina. I pray we all stay safe. Thank you for being there for all of us. It's a rough time. Stay in. Stay Safe. Feed that beautiful family. XO
You have inspired me and my boyfriend to learn Italian! My grandma is first generation American (78 now). She was only allowed to speak English as a little girl and much of the Italian traditions have been lost in my family. I am determined to give new life to Italian traditions and pass it on to my children! ♥️ grazie mille 💖💕
