Great Video, Thank you a lot!... any way that I can do this but with time remap? if I want to go back and forth on a video according to audio? so instead of scale, time remap?
The color part is a bit tricky, use hue/saturation effect and link master hue to the slider, as for moving anything it's done with the same steps shown in the video
Thanks for this great tutorial, I would like to sync the logo with one specific frequency . Is that possible ? because even if I select a range it's still moving with the volume . Thanks
Hey! Put a high/low pass filter on your audio before you convert audio to key frames, adjust the filter to the level you want, THEN convert audio to key frames and delete the filter. After that you can link the logo to the key frames and work from there
hi, i am making animation on a book reading, with every word said each word needs to be masked accordingly anyway this task can be speeded up in AE? I was using premiere pro for it
when i add smooth instead of linear in the line of code, it gives me an error and reverts back to what it was before the adjustment, I'm not familiar with coding on AE, is there a specific line you can comment for copy paste? @@SmertimbaGraphics
Oh right, it has to be linear. Try doing it without the linear() expression, just link the properties so that the reaction would happen for all the values instead of a selected threshold.
@@SmertimbaGraphics i found a work around that fixed this with a short expression. Alt+Right Click Slider, then type “ smooth(.1,21) “ and it worked for me. Smooth as butter, still hitting the beat at the right places.
Great vid! I'm trying to automate the opacity and it'd working... but I want it to only react to the loudest sound (the kick) When I try to add +[100 + 100] or anything else, it says "temp is not defined" and disables the expression :{ What can I do to turn down the sensitivity of the reaction so it only picks up the kick? 🙏
Mine says "thisComp.layer("Audio Amplitude").effect("Both Channels")("Slider")" and doesn't include temp, and when I type it out like yours, it says there's an expression error. Any idea why?
You gave me the inspiration to make this animation. Thank you! I made the little sunglasses move to the music. Great tutorial! If you want to check out what I made of it you can check the end result here: ua-cam.com/video/feFuLx_PeJA/v-deo.html
Found lots of tutorials based on this but yours explains the reason behind the value. Thank You so much.
Glad it was helpful, enjoy💯
I did do it way differently before, but this method is so much easier...
Thanks for sharing :)
Glad to hear, enjoy❤
Thank you! Helped me a lot 😃
You're welcome!
Perfect tutorial! also solved the problem with the scale that I had. 10/10
All needed masterpieces in easy & short ways! So good Sensei! ❤️💯
My pleasure as always 😁❤️
Great Video, not only quick, but 3-4 options to choose from. Thank you.

Great Video, Thank you a lot!... any way that I can do this but with time remap? if I want to go back and forth on a video according to audio? so instead of scale, time remap?
I've tried and it doesn't really work, it makes the video speed up forward and then back😂
Beautiful, thank you
Thank you too!
thank you :) very useful
My pleasure ✌️
Thank you for this tutorial ! :)
You're welcome 😊
Perfect 👌✨👌✨
Thanks 😆
You are amazing. Thanks a lot...
So nice of you
Thank you!
Welcome!
Thank you for the video brother!
My pleasure!♥️
Best one!!!
Is it possible to manipulate color change the same method?
Or move an object (lighting with transparent bg) around shadowed background?
The color part is a bit tricky, use hue/saturation effect and link master hue to the slider, as for moving anything it's done with the same steps shown in the video
AMAZING
Thanks
Very helpful tutorial. Thanks
Thank you too 😊
wow
tnx
Thanks for this great tutorial, I would like to sync the logo with one specific frequency . Is that possible ? because even if I select a range it's still moving with the volume . Thanks
Not sure, maybe narrow it down to the extent that it doesn't move

They changed the expression, you sorted it for me. Lad.
Really helpful, thanks
You're welcome!
thanks bro
Welcome❤️

What do you mean by words being masked? After effects has built-in text animators that can reveal text in various ways
Is there an way to make the scale smooter in the annimation ?
Try adding smooth instead of linear in the expression
@SmertimbaGraphics thx ^^ I'll try that, ant thx for the quick answer, dodn't expact that ^

Is there some way to smooth the values between the limits so it doesn't just jump?
Unforntunately not, since the values in the expression are linear
please shakes with zoom in transition tutorial after effects
Hi is there a way to use control slider with this effects?
Sure, you can add control sliders into expressions
Great vid!

The thing is opacity only goes up to 100, you've got to use like an exposure effect or something else instead
how do I hook up a flashing effect to the beat
you can use exposure effect and hook exposure value
@@SmertimbaGraphics thanks
so this is like using a drum compressor?
In a way I guess😁
How do you apply an audio spectrum on a live video or podcast? I don't see a single tutorial on the internet covering this.
That has to be some sort of a plugin in a streaming software
can this be used to change the speed of the clip?
You could change the speed and then make it react to audio if that's what you mean
When I right click on the audio file, I don't get the same menu. I get a larger menu without keyframe assistant
Are you sure you are right clicking in the right spot because it should come up as shown
I apologize. I am brand new. I thought everything was in Adobe premiere. I did get After Effects though. Now we're in business 😊
What if i want to have 2 seperate audio amplitudes?
Duplicate the layer as many times as needed
@@SmertimbaGraphics no but for like 2 sperate audio files
Yeah you can repeat the process for another audio file, you could have multiple solid layers with the spectrum applied to different audios
@@SmertimbaGraphics ah i get it thanks a bunch
how to make the audio react more whit the music ?
Multiply the expression by a higher value
Mine says "thisComp.layer("Audio Amplitude").effect("Both Channels")("Slider")" and doesn't include temp, and when I type it out like yours, it says there's an expression error. Any idea why?
Which property are you trying to link, is it scale?
I'm trying to do opacity please and I'm having the same problem as him@@SmertimbaGraphics
i got an issue why only export 30s ??
There's no limit to how long the timeline is, you've probably selected a 30 second work area on the timeline
@ yes I fixed it
Is there a way you can do this on premiere pro as well?
Unfortunately Premiere Pro doesn't have capabilities to replicate this, but you can implement it via dynamic link into premiere pro
