I liked Raihan’s solution of “team that lets Dragon types do their best under weather”. It’s still the type, but it’s something, and it’s a viable team strategy in actual competitive.

To answer questions about Keldeo being the only choice: Deer are more closely related to whales than to horses. This means Wyrdeer, Sawsbuck, and Xerneas don't count. Verizion likely also is a deer. This is also true for giraffes and camels, so no Farigiraf or Camerupt. Most other potential choices don't actually have hooves: Arceus, Cobalion, Terrakion. and Dialga, for example. Giratina is legally an insect due to its 6 legs, which are not horses. Bastiodon is likely based on ceratopsid dinosaurs, whose closest living relatives would be birds. Heatran is like a shell-less turtle or something. And as much as I'd like to ride on one, Scolipede is definitely not a horse either. The real question is, is Revavroom a horse? It can learn High Horsepower...
@@onetallpheeesh Cetaceans are also *Euungulata*, which is what I meant by being more closely related to whales than horses. Thus, if you include any ungulates, you'd also open up the option for Wailord, Cetitan, and Palafin to be horses. You'd also be counting all pigs as horses - Grumpig, Emboar, Oinkolonge - and Hippopowdon, who I think is the only hippo we have. Also, rhinoceroses in Rhyperior,, which are more closely related to actual horses than anything else I've listed. So yeah. I'll accept "all ungulates count" if you can look me dead in the eye and tell me Wailord is a horse.
Thank you for the positive feedback! This is indeed our first attempt at such a video, and, due to the warm response, we'll definitely make this a series!
If Pokemon had more big trainers that used strong Pokemon/favorites or a theme more often that'd make for tougher battles. That way people wouldn't be able to destroy important trainers as easily. Trainers like: Red, Blue, Cynthia, N, Ghetsis, Namura, Getta, certain professors, etc.

Mudsdale weights like 2800 (If I remember correctly) Is there a damage number threshold for the move? and I cannot wait for that dog team cuz that the team I used on my first S/V play through (I didn't like the final evos of the starters very much)
Great taste, pal! Mudsdale is so awesome ^_^ We were considering putting Heavy Slam on Mudsdale; however, we found Body Press, Stone Edge, and Earthquake to be more useful overall. The only advantage Heavy Slam-a Steel-type move-would give us is being able to one-shot most Fairy-types, but since we have Heavy Slam on Glastrier, it would be a bit redundant. As for Ice and Rock-types, Stone Edge and Earthquake are more reliable for tackling such threats (except for Stone Edge's accuracy, lol). Also, Ice and Rock-types can sometimes be heavy, which would decrease Heavy Slam's base power against them. We're so happy that you're looking forward to our dog team video! Due to the positive response to our horse team video, we've decided to bump up the dog team video in our work priority to get it out a bit quicker! This is a such a great concept I am glad you are making it. Two things I would like to ask: - 1st Why not use Galarian Rapidash also? It is different enough in both design and typing to earn a spot on the team and Fairy type could have been a boost to the team. Though looking at the data you seem to handle well all typess that fairy is good against. I am just interested in your reasoning. 2nd - Have you considered also making, for a future series, the "best possible team of every type" Like design powerful viable Gym Leader teams? That would be fascinating to watch.
Thank you so much! And great questions! 1st: Since Rapidash and Galarian Rapidash are classified as the same species, we can't use both due to Pokémon Showdown's "Species Clause" which states that you can't have two of "the same Pokémon species" on the same team. 2nd: We haven't considered making such a series, but that's a good idea!
The funny acronym is definitely how this formerly unofficial tier started! It later got a few more meanings behind the letters. We chose "perfectly useless" in this video to describe the concept to people who are unfamiliar with Smogon's tiers. But, yes, the letters "PU" don't have a concrete meaning-they have multiple pseudo-meanings. Check out this article for the history of the tier: www.smogon.com/articles/pu-the-making-of

I think galar rapadash is more of a horse than zebstrika. But i think u cpuld have both on team instead of one of the legends.also surprised u didnt give one of the horse a calyrex rider. Whats a horse team wihout the rider
Due to Pokémon Showdown's "Species Clause," we cannot have both Rapidash and Galar Rapidash on the same team due to them counting as the same species. Also, we didn't want any riders involved-only free horses! Down with horse oppression! Up with horse liberty!!
Question, why use Body Press when you are not EVing Mudsdale for defense? To me it feels like this pokemon is now trying to do two things, with stamina and curse trying to make it bulkier and bodyslam to hit harder. But all of it's EV's are shoved into attack. To me that makes no sense. If you are using these "low" tier pokemon. Should you not go "all in" on the one thing they are good at? Or if you want to go Attack, why not give it Super Power or Close Combat? And if you really want to use Body Press why not take iron defense and go all out on the defense stats. To me this feels like an unfocused set choice for Mudsdale.
Great questions! For your first one: during the pre-test tests, we found that people would try to burn Mudsdale often (usually with Will-o-Wisp), which hindered it immensely in battle. By allowing it to fallback on its Defense stat and Body Press in such cases, it could still be a big threat when burned. We found this versatility to be useful. On top of that, moves like Superpower and Close Combat would result in debuffs that would decrease Mudsdale's longevity. I regards to Galarian Rapidash, it's technically the same species as Rapidash, so having both on the same team would no be possible thanks to Pokémon Showdown's "Species Clause" which states that you can't have two of the same Pokémon on the same team (in most formats). As such, we had to choose between G-Rapidash and Rapidash-we chose the latter because we like it more :)
