This was great!I love visiting places like this and agree that doing the research ahead of time makes for a better appreciation of the destination. That feast was impressive! More videos like this please - you both are awesome - love your energy :)
I completely agree with you on preferring DIY, independent touring to organized tours, but sometimes the logistics make a tour the practical choice, especially on shorter trips.
Great video ladies, one of your best ones yet. We really enjoyed seeing what you got up to during your day, what a great memory, good planning does pay of, thankyou for the share.
Hey!!!!! This was a fantastic video, we loved seeing you two out on your hike, absolutely loved this (we know how much effort you put into this video). Make more like this please! This is a winning formula for sure! Roll on next Sunday. best wishes Neil & Sarah x
Very nice! I so want to slow travel some day! We're prepping to go to the Grand Canyon in a few weeks and I'm excited, but because I'm still working, it's going to be the typical blur of activities. Fun, but exhausting too. I'll need a week to recover from my vacation! : ( Enjoy Serbia. It looks lovely!
If you come back to Belgrade and you like countryside and hiking you should visit Avala mountain. It is about 45 minutes driving south from Belgrade. Very nice place with some turistic attractions like Avala tower (with obesrvation deck and caffe on the top) , Monument to the Unknown Hero, Sakinac hiking trail, Despot Stefan Lazarevic church ( all wooden) etc. Also a few restaurants around. Very nice and relaxing place to be with great views and landscape. If you find some local hikers groups (mostley sunday about 10am) you can ask them to join ( 100 dinars=$1 particiption for the local guide, groups are mostley 10-20 people) for real 10-12km hiking tour (3-4 hours long) thru forests of Avala.
Sounds like a great way to explore the area around Belgrade - thanks for the detailed recommendation! We're already looking forward to our return trip to Serbia. 😊
I wish you guys did a couple of videos a week.. I get to the end of the week and I’m looking for your next video. Also, you upload time is with every other travel couple so sometimes I have to scroll a while to find you and you get a bit lost in the amount that upload at that time. Just some feedback, that’s all. I really enjoy your content. Thanks for taking us on the ride with you.
This is excellent feedback -- although I might be facing a divorce if I asked Gillian to edit one more video a week! 😂 A great point about all the other travel videos; we'll look into it.
Jilian looks a little like Serbian prime minister Ana Brnabic, you can check her out :) I meant that as a compliment of course, I'm a supporter of Ana :))
If you want to visit Serbia trough hiking , you should search for Serbia Mountaineering Society, get their pass, and for fairly cheap dollar ( last time i was there it was 10 -20e per person ) good hiking tours , visiting monasteries, monuments, local food and much more, but be prepared for 5h+ hike whit stops ofc, and clip your toe nails :D Downside of this is that the bus is from 90s and not presentable. Like always very professional video and enjoy more Serbia
Actually, it's not a typical Serbian thing... The northern Serbia was historically part of the central Europe. And the rest of Serbia, the larger bit, of the southern Europe.

So great to hear - thank you! Our Peaks of the Balkans video is coming...lots of great scenery in that one. 😊
Yuuummmmm!
It was so good! 😊
Great video! I loved the rolling hills covered in vines and that feast! Seeing glimpses of your fur babies was nice too.
It was such a fun day! And there are so many hikes and wineries to discover in this part of Serbia. 😊
A beautiful location and great looking food! Planning and researching is part of the fun
Wasn't it lovely?! A little bit of planning made for an amazing afternoon.
Your videos just keep getting better and better..... BRAVO ! So enjoyable..
Thank you very much! We had a lot of fun making this one.

So true! On a short trip, there's just not enough time to do all the research yourself.
Great video ladies, one of your best ones yet. We really enjoyed seeing what you got up to during your day, what a great memory, good planning does pay of, thankyou for the share.
Thanks so much! It made the day even more fun knowing that we were sharing it with everyone. 😊

Thank you! Great to hear you enjoyed it! It's never easy to bring the camera along for a big excursion but definitely worth the effort. 😊

“So she says” 😅😅😅 my main hiking partner always underestimates the length/strain of the hike.
A new one! Sweet!
Exactly! Gillian always thinks that we're up for any challenge 😂

Excellent recommendation - thank you! We'll try that out on our next visit to Serbia. Hiking is such a great way to get to know the region.

What is the name of this farm winery you went to?
It's called Podrum Miljevic....we've got all the links in our cheat sheet bit.ly/3zUHbE4
