The Problem With Saltburn (2023)

Saltburn, the second feature film from the writer/director of Promising Young Woman - Emerald Fennell - is dividing TikTok and the world at large. Watching the movie for myself… I can understand why.
The question: is there actually anything under Saltburn’s glossy surface? Is it a masterpiece or - in fact - a massive, pretentious piece of sh*t?

I’ve been scratching my head for the past month wondering how this film has gotten so much praise… I wonder if people like the film for what it is or what it symbolises in their minds. It’s beautiful and the performances are great but it felt like it was made for the TikTok algorithm…

THANK GOD someone in the youtube space has called out this movie's numerous cons i felt like i was going crazy seeing lots of people rate it high while i felt like it was just meh and nothing to remember (except for no barry x richard scene)
