Cant’t we all agree this was an incredible movie?
My all time favorite movie
Yes, i just watched it again for the nth time
Yes.❤️ It’s been one of my favourite movies ever since I saw it in the theater when it was first released 26 years ago. I was a teenager then, and I’m so happy it has gained popularity again in recent years. I’m so pleased a new generation is apreciating a movie that had such a huge impact on my youth.
some di**heads have questions wat he was talking about.
My favorite of all time
Don't forget in water that cold you can barely move much less tie liebelts under the door
Like a thousand knives stabbing you in all directions.
Bro could have used other objects to stay alive
Agreed. It would have been very hard to think logically.
Where is the drunk baker when you needed him lol, I have to remind you that the life jackets wouldn't have been able to fit the door. Back then people weren't size big bitch so no those life jackets weren't meant for that size
I would be like we sharing this door you better not push me off this bih 😅
It’s important for the narrative that Jack sacrifices himself for Rose. Rose learned from Jack how to truly live. He died so that she could go on to live a happy life.
EXACTLY!!!
Then why did Rose *sacrifice* herself for Jack on numerous ocassions? Not just giving his life meaning and purpose, as he said winning the "ticket" was the best thing that ever happened to him, as it *brought* him to Rose.
It was also when Rose spit Cal in his face in an effort to break herself free and rescue Jack, who was trapped down below at the Master-At-Arms. In which she succeeded, including after punching a steward.
Not to forget, one of the most iconic moments in the movie, when she got back on the ship after she was put in a lifeboat, because, she did *not* want to live without him and wanted to get him out alive.🤔
@@victorsamsung2921All different circumstances...
The part of Jack dying is one of the things which makes the film so strong and serious, it is about a serious topic, many people did die on titanic. But sometimes I think they could do alternativ endings in some of these type of movies, like in this case Jack also surviving and they got married or something.
Then the movie wouldn't have been this great successful
Life doesn't hv a happy ending most of the time. Hence, I would expect/want movies like Titanic to be as real to life as possible.
Titanic was a tragedy. The movie couldn't possibly end in a happily ever after, it had to end in tragedy
😂🤪🙄
you are saddiest if you like people getting killed.
Rose wanted to die, Jack wanted to live. In the end Jack died for Rose and Rose lived for Jack.
Did I want Jack to die… Absolutely not. Did he need to die…yes. Titanic would lose a great deal of meaning and Roses growth would be stunted without Jack’s death. Jack taught her to be independent and make her own decisions and if Jack lived she would be dependent on him. She needed to “set sail” on her own. Jacks death was a turning point for Rose, the point she went from a young girl to a woman.
But would relationship of Jack and Rose have survived after Titanic? She was upper class and had no idea how to do basic household chores, nor how to strech very limited money for one more meal. Every month.
@@helene4397she had to learn all those things anyway without Jack. Are you saying her struggeling with learning all those skills would have been relationship ending if Jack would have been there alongside with her while she learned them?
@@MatildaV1980 I simply meant that those two, while cute romance onboard a ship, how lasting a relationship could be off the ship from their starting points?
@@helene4397 well, since this is all fiction, all we can do is to imagine. In my head canon, the alternative universe where Jack survived, he and Rose lived happily ever after.
@@helene4397😊
I m so tried of people.this story was about tragedy. If he had survived this wouldn’t be as hanting as its today.
Agreed. He sacrificed himself because he loved Rose. Thats what the story is about. It would have been less impactful if both main characters survived. It wouldn't have had the emotional impact a story about the Titanic should have had
Nailed it. So many men chose this path on the titanic. It is only fitting that the main character do the same; only a little later in the movie. Cant’t we all agree this was an incredible movie?
@@ColieBear18The story was actually about Titanic and the themes of separation & death, that became so central in the aftermath of the tragedy with the lost husbands and broken families etc.
Cameron created the fictional love story of Rose & Jack in an effort to bring that theme of separation & death to the big screen. You know, to make the tragedy of the Titanic relevant to this day. For it had been so long ago in 1912. And Cameron wanting to do *honor* to the ship and its passengers.
That’s true but he could have fit and we all know that
You wrong
Ive been saying this forever lol. It wasn't that there wasn't space, it was that their weight wasn't supported, it could only hold one person and Jack chose Rose
You should watch the mythbusters episode about this
@@bpdbhp1632Mythbusters and the recent documentary special that Cameron participated in. He had to *admit* that Rose & Jack could have survived in different situations, including even for several hours.
If Rose got on the lifeboat instead of jumping out last minute, both would have likely survived.
Jack was a beautiful character and we fell in love with both Jack and rose as the movie progressed. We wanted to see the couple survive but that didn't happen. Jack's death makes us feel closer to what so many survivors must have felt while losing their loved ones. Rose and Jack were only there to show how love and life wanted to go on but lovers were parted by death and the ones who survived had to move on like Rose moved on after jack's death. He had to die. Most of the families were separated and most of the men sacrificed their lives for women and children. Jack did the same. That is what James Cameron is trying to say. If Jack had survived, we wouldn't have felt the deep loss that we did when he died. The loss that so many real titanic victims felt
Although it does *not* feel right in some way to feel a greater loss over a fictional character, like Jack Dawson, when many real-life characters in the movie did die, like Thomas Andrews, Mr. & Mrs. Strauss, John Jacob Astor, Officer William Murdoch etc.🤔
After watching the extended (alternate) ending of Titanic, it seems Cameron's plan with the movie was rather the preservation and dignity of the victims, while also showing "wealth" did *not* equal health or happiness.
Concerning Brock Lovett and his crew on the MV Keldysh were throughout the movie much more concerned with and focused on finding the blue diamond etc.
It was only at the *end* when the elder Rose was done with telling her story, including the portrayal of Jack's death, that Brock and his crew had a change of heart and not seeming interested in the diamond anymore. Not caring about finding it and doing something else in their lives.🤔
These are the same people that complain about every horror movie decision without understanding human panic response varies person to person.
Makes sense, although Jack already died frozen before Rose let go to move on with her new free life.
As she promised him. For a moment, she seemed ready to give up and reunite with him... until the memory of her promise to him kick in.
false. jack was unconscious. he was not dead at all.
@@Hi-lmaoooooooooyeah that’s what I thought maybe if rose didn’t drop him to the bottom of the fucking ocean he would’ve woken up
It was so sad when Rose say ‘come back!’
This is so sad but I still wish they both survived and lived happily now this is the saddest movie😢
Rose: I’ll never let go
*let’s go 5 seconds after she says that*
Women☕️
it meant she wouldn't let go of the love nd life
Jack was asking her to never let go of her LIFE. That wasn't about him. He wanted her to survive that night and didn't care about anything else. She promised him she'll never let go.
In the movie Jack tries to also get on the door and it flips over! it was clear that it could only support one person
There love is just so heartwarming and tragic
They loved eachother and when jack asked rose to keep that promise she wanted to do it all with him
And she did it ALL FOR HIM 😭
I think if Jack survived the movie would have lost this "effect" where the movie is trying to make the viewers see what the survivors went through that night. Where their loved ones were gone in the tragedy, and the pain of losing someone you cherish.
😢I miss him so much I hate the guy that was gonna marry rose and even though Jack died rose carried on living and made her name rose dawson which is so sweet they are so loyal together who else misses jack so much ❤❤❤❤❤

often during the winter, when im just walking outside my joints get stiff. i cant imagine trying to move so much in 28 degree water
I😢 cant 😭 believe that Jack died
Honestly I have seen nobody talk about jacks friends death scene. Jacks friend was my favourite character and when he died I started balling my eyes out
This movie is so special and feels like heaven. There is something that I can't tell in words. Everything is just marvelous whether it is the music or the actors' performance. This movie is a timeless beauty
If you have someone who had die remember they are always with you
don’t forget that at first jack DID try to get on with her which caused rose to fall down which is why he stayed in the water. But i would still love this movie if he survived too❤
Don’t forget, rose wanted to die, and jack wanted to live, but jack died for rose, and rose lived for jack. 😢
She didnt want to die anymore since she had met jack
@@bpdbhp1632Jack was the one who who saw her as an equal and listened. First with a slight judgemental ear, but then, ended up taking her seriously and could see the goodness within her. Not to forget, seeing this bird that was ready to spread her wings.
He was not giving Rose advice, but just being direct and telling her the cold hard truth, including that her fire within her could one day burn out. You know, that she had choices to make, tough choices.
That's how she ended up going through life.
Lets write a petition to James Cameron to remake that scene 🎬 to save Jack!
I am depending on virtual reality AI for that. Gonna give them a $350M wedding in my AI world. 🫠
How about Rose could have stayed on the lifeboat and Jack could have had the door so they would both survived
Bro anyone who says “there was enough room for both” simply didn’t watch the movie 💯
It was obvious in the film that the door was not buoyant enough for them both after Jack tried to get on.
MAYBE if rose stayed on the lifeboat JACK could’ve stayed on the door
Exactly!!!
That would be playing GOD and KNOWING the future, which is impossible.🤦🏻♀️
the only reason rose got off the life bot was because didn't know jack would live
The music is really emotional too.. I wish he did stay alive though. Still would have loved it. ❤😢 But now it’s my 10000000% favorite movie and I am OBSESSED with it. Thank you, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet for making this movie incredibly emotional yet amazing to watch. (Amazing meaning how strong their love was, not that Titanic sank!!) Yes, Jack wanted to live and Rose wanted to die.. Jack died for Rose and Rose lived for Jack. Just remember how strong and tough this story was. It was an impact on many people in show of independence and emotion. I feel like this movie didn’t just showcase the strength of love between Jack and Rose, but yet also gave us a detail of what it was like during that fateful day in 1912. It showcased both. ❤😭
I don't know why people hated Titanic because of this. If you are in their position, you couldn't possibly think straight and just wanted to survive. But the first thing Jack thought is Rose to stay on the door and survive. He didn't think of himself and just holding on to Rose's hand till the end.
I saw this movie w my friend . We bought tickets to the Baker Boys and it sucked so we went and watched what we thought would be some boring chick flick. We stayed and watched it twice
Not me crying for four hours
This ending is better ❤
But also when it came to that part on the door rose got on first and jack tried to get on and it was to much weight. So that caused them to flip and he didn’t want her in the water if u think abt it
My forever favourite film. Thanks for this vid 🥹🥹🥹
And it wasn't a question if anybody pays attention during the filming of that scene. Jack knew why he couldn't get on. You could tell by the expression on his face. He knew the logic weight of him and rose would not sustain the door floating and he sacrificed for his love.
Apparently most humans don’t understand that and are complete idiots
Not gonna lie I cried when jack died
I think we all did, and of course the very last scene of the movie
If Jack had survived, we would have forgotten about this movie long ago.
No matter how heartbreaking it is, Jack had to die to make the movie as sad as it is, otherwise the whole theme would be different. I wish he had lived though❤❤
Rose wanted to die,Jake wanted to live but Jake died for Rose,Rose lived for Jake
This is why Basic Safety Training is compulsory for seafarers
And the mandatory cooking lessons too. 🙄
Cameron also said that Jack was supposed to represent all of those who parished that night. So he had to pass away.
I cried the whole movie
I watched it right and I’m crying just so hot. He’s my baby.
whatever it was. all audiences not questioning how was should be, but the tragedy ending of the love story on the grandamme ship remained the deepest heartfelt
Then die with your beloved. When you really love someone you wouldn't live without them. Die trying to figure out how to survive together!
Come on ppl, it's a movie. We watch it to lie to ourselves and escape reality
Not to mention that Rose was on the verge of death even being out of the water as she was. They definitely both would have died if both of them were slightly submerged in water as they would be if they were sharing it.
Sometimes the more painful it happens, the more true it is.
Sometimes sacrificing is the only way of true love.
That is the saddest cene in titanic when she said Jack Jack there a boat
This is the feeling director want to give you the sad feeling and he won
One way Jack could have been alive was if Rose went in the water and clung on to the piece of wood after seeing Jack's eyes not open since she had a life jacket on and if she put him on the wood and called the boat over. After the boat arrived she could have put him on the boat and covered him with the blankets shown in the movie and do CPR and chest compressions on him for him to breathe. After he is alive, they could've snuggled together under the blankets to keep warmth.
Can you stop being dumb and unrealistic?
lets get James Camron to make just fake scene of this
When I was watching the Titanic that literally that part made me cry the most
When your feet are freezing cold you can't think
I never wanted jack to die Because that was Rose's Fav crush she really loved him
it makes since that the weight of the two would have flipped the door. Titanic had a lot of realistic details like for example when Jack was handcuffed to the railing and said "woah, woah, woah! Try a couple practice swings over there" before she nearly cut his hand off with an ax but they didn't really seem a realistic detail at the door scene. I just feel like maybe Jack and Rose should have tried again to both end up on the door. I understand it was cold, people were in a panic, and we're thinking straight but I find it a little hard to believe Jack wouldn't try again. I feel like Jack gave up a little too easily. Right after the first and only try of getting on the door he looked down and had this expression like he immediately accepted his fate.
People ALWAYS forget that Jack tried getting on it but I flipped over
People be overthinking this way too much, they’re a fictional couple
If u didnt burst out into tears while watching this- *u have a heart of stone...*
FOR THE LAST TIME ITS NOT A DOOR ITS THE TOP PART OF A 1ST CLASS DOOR BUT NOT ACTUALLY LART OF THE DOOR
The part of putting the life jackets under the “door” is stupid because Jack literally said it’s so cold you can barely think
There’s another alternative Rose could’ve just stayed on the lifeboat making it easier for Jack to save himself
He wouldn’t have to dive under water. Fasten them to the top and then flip the thing over.
Poor jack he deserves a longer life he was only 20😭
yes i want him to live
After I was done watching the titanic all I could think was WHY DID HE HAVE TO FREAKING DIE 😭😭😭
As a Jack, I take this as an absolute loss
"Did you also want jack to stay alive in the movie titan-"
*"NO I DONT GOD DAMN IT!"*
I watched titanic last night and I started tearing up when Jack died😢😢
This is so sad of the people in the titanic
Jack couldn’t stay on the door because if he got on the door, didn’t you see that when he got on the door they were both but the fall and the door was that don’t flip over so he put his day alive and he stayed alive and died in the freezing water so that’s that
Tbh she could of blowed the whistle but also hold on to jack and bring him with her no hate on this comment pls
They could have swapped turns on the door
When we lose someone we love...we grapple with the 'what-ifs'.
It's 'part of the process'.
It's an exhausting, gut-wrenching reach for answers that one will Never get.
May God have mercy on us all.
By questioning it means they love it
I swear this was the and will always be the best movie of all time❤
They would have both survived if Rose hadn't jumped off the lifeboat last minute.
Jack died... that's why he remembered all these years also lives in everyone's heart.
Jack died for rose, rose lived for jack.
Come on jack the king i love you jack😓😓
I cryed when they asked for her name and she said rose rose dawson 😢
Even if we would have seen Jack surviving the Titanic Tragedy and getting ashore with Rose on-screen, I would have still fallen in love with the movie. Due to a combination of the amazing acting, chemistry, writing, special effects, sets and music.❤
U know when heroes dies in a movie we always remember the movie and intend to see it again even though it hurts….
❤
There is also the fact that people say they could've taken turns but they don't understand that they were both at deaths door from hypothermia, they don't have the energy to take turns even then it would still result in them both dying anyway...
I don't fault the director for choosing to kill off Jack. The idea was supposed to be that he gave Rose a chance to live a long happy life. Despite dying, Rose decided to save herself for him, and lived for him only to reunite with him once again in the end.
Rose knew she had the necklace in the coat. Jack was expendable.
So Titanic 2 is coming out soon yeah and some people are gonna find a diamond that those throw it but I accidentally find Jack freezing cold. He didn’t change age he was the same but when they make them alive, Jack was normal again Jack looked different a bit, but Jack was crying because he misses Rose because Rose is now dead
This movie no one can not cry from and if you didn't cry watching this movie bro you do not have a soul
Girl this is based off a real story and it actually happened it wouldn’t have been following the story if jack stayed alive that’s why for heavens sake 🙄
Wish they was an alternate ending where Jack lived
this is not the reason why the director didn’t plan to save jack. if it was bc of the door they would have just got a new one. It was part of James Cameron’s plot to have jack die and rose live and the door just showed that
Are gonna ignore the beautiful music
10 out of 10 movie but i cry when he died😢😢
there is always tragedy happen in movies and in real life, if jack didn't died the movie wouldn't been this strong and awesome.
SHE LITERALLY LET GOOO
I think they tried this on an episode of mythbusters and I think they said it plausible with a life jacket tied underneath.
Fun fact: she wasent on a door she was on a door frame
He could've survived if she had stayed on that lifeboat so Jack would be more focused on his survival and he could've gotten on the bed frame and survived
She would have been trapped in the life she was escaping had she gotten on the lifeboat. She would have survived. Jack wanted her to live.
Always remember rose wanted to die.... jack wanted to live..... jack died for her.... rose lived for him 😊😢😢❤❤❤
