How clever - a locket as a compact! Now I have to go look through my old jewelry just so I can repurpose. I really love those purple square bottles, too. Who knows - maybe I have something similar!!
YES miniatures are All around us we just have to train our eyes to SEE. I do Love THOSE square Purple beads as well😊 This was such a fun project I hope you do try it! Let me know how it goes!😃
LOLOLOLOL!!! thanks I have to laugh because I've been making stuff like this, so long I forget how WONDERFUL it is! Trash to treasure miniatures! Thank you for watching!
Mini trash to mini treasure, even though I wouldn't say the things you had already made were trash 😉. The dressed table looked so real and cute at the same time, looks a bit like my vanity lol. Would you feel comfortable showing us how you decide where things go when you're dressing a table? You can leave in the bits where you get sudden inspiration 👏🏼
Absolutely! I was wondering if anyone would like watching me when I start to set things up in the house. Thank you for saying you are interested , I'm putting that on my list. It's a deal!
@@littlegretchensworkshop7665 Thank you! That is so awesome because you have such a good eye and I so enjoy having you teach me about a scale and the perspective of 1/12 that I'm just getting into. I would jump up and down if I could lol.

Miss Gretchen, I just love you and your channel! You have so many great ideas and I feel so welcome and cozy as I listen to and watch what you're teaching us. I love being one of your dolls! Thank you for sharing your talent!
Thank you so much! It's Obscene, that was my little box! I Love Sparkly things! When something breaks, I keep and break it apart more to see what I can make in miniature. Nothing is wasted!
@@littlegretchensworkshop7665 I do the same with broken things, but I've only been into minis for a short time. I think of all the great junk I've missed out on. Just a couple years ago, someone offered a large collection of beads to me but I didn't know what I'd ever do with them. Womp womp
Your tiny bottles are beautiful, And the bars of soap are so cute I am going to do both of these for my doll house, the dressing table looks so good, I.prefer your bottles from the store brought ones because there is more variety and colour in yours which looks more realistic, Thank you for sharing, Take care xx
Thank You 😊! Yes many times things you make look more authentic and REALISTIC! For me it is truly Fun to look at an item and remember it's made from a broken necklace, earrings or bracelets. Something very personal... My Dollhouses all have fragments of My LIFE in the details and accessories! HAVE FUN, Thank You for watching ❤️😃
Thank you for encouraging us to play- people of *all* ages need some play in our lives. Great idea for unmatched earrings! I have some beads similar to yours and can't wait to get started! BTW, I have 3 dolls and a doll wardrobe that *are* vintage perfume bottles! My older brother found them at a flea market and gave them to me when we were teenagers (at least 30 years ago). They're a little larger than 1/12 scale, so they have their own roombox with a few other oversize pieces. I love the idea of giving the real perfume bottles fake perfume bottles to use. 😄
😁 So many ideas running around My head. Thank You for helping to spark creativity. And now I have a use for the bag of stud earrings I picked up at Goodwill 👍🏼
THAT'S PERFECT! HAVE FUN!!! You will end up with more than you can use in one project! I'm So excited for You! Please let me know how much fun you have making them!
Here's a hint: To make your bottles stand up without wax, use a standard circle paper punch from the school supplies and thin clear acetate packaging. Glue the transparent circles to the base of your various perfume bottle using a touch of Super glue.and- Ta Da!
I Look forward to hearing your soothing voice dear and your inspiration . Thoroughly enjoy my found again miniatures. I did it as a child too. We made from what we had too. Big loves from Nana in Australia. ✌️💜🏰🏩🏚
These are great! I've used some similar clear tapered beads to make fancy looking salt and pepper shakers. I just used a plain silver bead for the top. I put actual salt and pepper in the bead holes and sealed the ends so it doesn't fall out.
Great idea! I LOVE THAT!!!! I have actually never done Salt and pepper shakers! that is a very clever idea! Dolls need seasoning too! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Gretchen, I made some perfume bottles today. I had some beads that looked exactly like miniature Coca-Cola bottles, so I stuck one on the little table in my "Box" (No doll house here). My dolls are all homeless. LOL...
These little bottles are brilliant! I always wondered what to do with those jars of beads sitting on the shelf! Thank you so much for your inspiration!
Yes old beads and pieces from broken jewelry are wonderful components for miniatures! I save everything because I never know what I might need! LOLOLOL!
You've gone and done it again Gretchen! lol its 11:30pm and now I'm just itching to get into my craft studio to make some perfume bottles, never mind the fact that my craft studio is really just a small shed in the backyard with no electricity and no lights. I'll be dreaming about making these all night until I can get out there tomorrow hahahaha. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are a terrible influence in the best possible way. 😆🤣
That is So COOL to Hear!!!! Your comments always make me smile 😊! I CAN TELL YOU have a TRUE LOVE AND PASSION FOR MINIATURES! Because Only those of us who are truly passionate can work ALL NIGHT! My family and friends look at Me LIKE I'm nuts! YES I'm CRAZY FOR MINIATURES!!!😂😂😂
One bonus of having to wait all night to get started is your comments about scale made me think more about which beads would be better as perfume bottles and which ones would be better reserved to make lamps or even vases! Hmmm at this rate I'm gonna need a bigger studio lol
I love these, the soap reminds me of my grandmother's bathroom where she always had a fresh bar of fancy soap out for guests. I'm digging through my jewelry box right after this for stray beads to make some. Thank you so much for showing how to make these!
Thanks for sharing!! I had the same experience as a child! My Grandmother and great Aunt always had pretty little decorative soaps in the bathroom on display!

Hi! I was thinking, fir the bottom of the bottles to make them stand up I put glu from the glue gun and then put it on flat rubber surface and it makes it flat then itvwill stay up! Give it a try✌️😁
I was just wondering, wouldn't wax make more realistic looking soaps than clay? Soap has a waxy translucent appearance that clay would find hard to mimic, but wax has that same exact look and feel. The bars you made are shaped perfectly, and Just the right scale. It's only their materials that hold them back in my opinion. Your work is so exacting and your attention to tiny details such that I hope you find this suggestion helpful.
Thank You Julie! I have actually never considered using wax! That is a great suggestion!😃 while I was reading your comment l realized they have translucent Clay. I need to make more 🧼 for the Dress Shop Dollhouse so I while incorporate that in my process. Growing up my family always bought Ivory soap, and it was opaque although the texture was waxy. So l didn't see translucent soap very much. I appreciate your feedback 😃❤️👍 THANK YOU for watching ☺️
@@littlegretchensworkshop7665 Glad I could help. If you want an opaque bar, try coating one of your clay bars in wax to see if that looks more realistic. I understand your drive for perfection in your miniatures, I've been making miniatures since the 80s and no matter how good something turns out, I always think I could have done just a little bit better.
Hi LINDA! I had to try a few to figure it out. I used Gorilla Gel Super Glue but I have totally switched to LOC -TITE SUPER GLUE GEL. The GEL formula is not runny and it gives a little wiggle room before it sets. Plus it has a precision tip so the glue comes out in very small amounts. Perfect for bead perfume bottles 😅❤️ l hope they s helps. Let me know how you like it. I will add link in description.
