I asked about something 14 days ago without answer. still wondering about all C1-C3 settings. You have to look back a lot of settings and know what and who you have changed and when you have finished with C1 you have to start again. Still do not understand how to put everything back to the way the camera is set up. Gunnar
Thanks for the easy review of setting c1-c3 Wondered one thing when you put miscellaneous to C1 and save. Then you are going to set settings to C2, what about those settings you have made first in M mode to C1 you have to remember all these and change them back to default?.
I was able to set video on C1, C2, C3 [4k 60, 4K 30, 4K 24] when setting up picture settings (P.1-7) modes and then keep going to video on (pg.9) and set at the same time. After I save all the picture and video settings, I turn on video by using red record button on top.
@@StudiodeRaaf You can change the record button to the front button too. I use the top red button to record and use the front button to change from back screen view to view finder.
@@StudiodeRaaf yes i know it’s all i shoot in but if you set up the video settings in c1,2 and 3 and press the record botton to jump into one, it saves the 4k60 option for example but jumps into more auto settings anyhow, like not being able to adjust iso, aperture and enable c log. (If you get what i am saying) Canon has to naturally add full manual control to save video settings on the custom dials on the R6. Like it’s more expensive than the eos R but they didn’t include that smh...
Hi Cris, thanks for the video, I made the settings according to your recommendations, but when I came to shoot by using one of the 3X C buttons, I realized that the camera does not allow me to manually control the shutter speed separately from the aperture. It behaves as if it is an AV/TV (semi-automatic) modes. Do you have any idea why this is happening and I can change that to be same as C3.
I didn’t understand this either until I stumbled across this video. To set your custom functions, and keep them in manual mode, or any other mode for that matter, you need to set everything up from manual and then register the settings to that custom function through the menu. If you start making your preferences from the mode button on C1-3, I don't see a way to make your shooting mode manual.
Thanks for the video. But: It is truly mind bogling how it is _not_ possible to assign video settings to the C1-C3 modes, only photo settings. It defeats the "hybrid" purpose... Even my Panasonic at 1/4 of the price has this possibility, where I can set C-modes to either photo or video....
Hi Jo, i see what you mean although i think Canon has to make some differences between the R6 and R5. If this is one of those things i am very happy that it is and not something like 4K 60P. Don't get me wrong i would have loved to see the option on the other hand it is not a deal breaker.
Thank you. Very helpful. If you set up settings and register to C1, is it possible to restore or reset the regular camera settings back to default without erasing the settings saved in C1? Also, is it possible to reset the entire camera, including the saved C1 settings, back to default?
Thank you for the excellent tips. This is exactly what I was looking for
This is the ONLY video that sinccintly covers this topic! Thank you SO much!
Just plain wow. Presentation was clear, concise and the examples spot on. Thank you.
Hugely helpful
Great video, very clear explanations! I liked the annotations on screen too. Thank you
thanks ... I went crazy to understand how they were set in manual C1 C2 C3
thank you for showing me how to set up the three shooting modes!!
Thank you excellent video, I learned a great deal adult custom functions. Had no idea how to set it up.
Thank You so much for this tutorial - this is my first camera with C buttons and this movie helped me a lot.
Thank you! This is easier than I thought.
Wonderful tutorial, thank you so very much. :) I followed your setting all the way :)
Good to hear that!
Thanks for sharing this great video 🙏😃

It sucks! Specially shooting weddings/events even my Sony a6300 has 3 different banks, it’s still a beast of Camera tho
Check this out if you haven't already figured out setting up the C1-C3 video settings (ua-cam.com/video/3X91xTn3J_4/v-deo.html).

How can I record the values for the video in c1, c2 and c3? on canon r6
This is not an option on the R6. It is on the R5

how can you go to photo and then take a clog video in manual for a wedding ?
i have the r6? this is what i am having trouble with?ua-cam.com/video/Sqt6j9eDTqQ/v-deo.html
@@clairewright4586 As in the video you link to shows, the best option is to switch between C3 and video mode
You can always click the dial one click to take pictures in C3 then click back to video with C-log
thanks for the info. The jump cuts are killing me. :/
3 digits?? heheh, probably not that easy :))
