My daughter has one. It is 256 GB version. Besides the battery being borderline (around 80% health) and few bright spots on the screen, the iPad works great. We are planning to do battery service thru Apple, so essentially, she will receive a brand new iPad with new battery and screen. for like $100-120. The plan is to keep it till Apple drops the iPadOS updates.
@@Gnawy yea you’d be surprised how amazing/convenient note taking can be when u can split screen and do school work at the same time, whilst saving ur notes on the cloud instead of throwing away old paper consistently. Oh boy how silly (sarcasm)!
I'm in the middle of tablet hunt to start digital drawing + entertainment. I don't really live in Apple's ecosystem, so I was pretty much aiming hardly on Samsung's Tab S7 FE, Huawei's Matepad 11, and iPad 9 all in used market. But after 5 days after hunting (today), I suddenly got reminded of this piede of beauty. Now this is in my top list!
I bought this in 2019 when it came out, still use it till this day so it was real value for money, battery has degraded but still can get about 4hrs screen on time, if I’m watching a series marathon I have to keep it on charge, I’m thinking of replacing the battery to give it a new lease of life
This model has an issue where the screen randomly freezes and won’t respond to touch for about 3-5 seconds. Apple won’t admit it. Lots of talk online about it.
The only issue i have with mine was because i handle it incorrectly, the screen is cracked and its expensive to replace it but still usable. I bought it 2019 on Gray market but still rocking up to this day with no issue. Overall, its a solid Ipad and can still live for another 5-7 years.
Bought this a couple of weeks ago with some small scratches for 140 US on EBay. This thing is nice. Don’t see any scratches while using it. Battery life is excellent. Laminated display. Value iPad that is really good. Really happy I bought it.
I bought an ipad air 3rd generation at the Salvation Army today for $20 it was icloud lock free it just needed a factory reset to remove the passcode good to use it has cracking in the front glass but still useable
Yeah and one thing nobody seems to be talking about is these things seem to have LCD touch problems address this I have had three of these things in the last year and they all have some form of touch issue

I have led on my iPhone but I’m not sure I would want it on an iPad because of the risk of burn in and even more important, lcd can last veeery long but oled will degrade over time.
I own this iPad I got in 2020 for my birthday in April felt like a different era when I got it because it was in the lockdown I never used FaceTime as much ever on any device since or prior still use most days now but am considering upgrading to a m1 air soon
@@incognito_userI have it rn. I used to edit videos on it which got slightly slower over time but still doable. Everything else is smooth, the screen is pretty nice and battery life is respectable. I’d say invest in a slightly newer iPad since software support will end in like 2 - 3 years prob Hope this helps!
Just got a screen but not glass damaged Air 3 for 65€, its a little bit bent, but who cares. I do still need a new display because the current one is shattered, the glass is not shattered. Ill get one from rewa technology and repair it myself.
I got an iPad pro 10.5 as a birthday gift back in 2017 and it was my baby. Recently got the apple pencil for it and I loved it but sadly both the batteries for the iPad and pencil died and I'm in tears. I got a good offer for a 3rd gen iPad air and I'm skeptical if it's better than my old iPad. I mean their offering 200$ for the air so is it worth it?(also their including an apple pencil aswell). Thoughts, opinions?
Hey man, just wanted to comment because I thought you did an awesome job with the video. I'm currently looking for either an Air 3, Mini 5, or base iPad 9 (Basically the last of the Headphone Jack iPads) and this video really put the Air 3 into a new light for me.
I love ipads since years but i can't afford yet ,, I'm android user and 3 days ago i bought iPhone 6s as a secondary phone for 65$ to experience ios but it was mistake to buy iPhone 6s in 2023 because it's unusable due to heating issues 😶 my 65$ are wasted
@@MrBrandonLau bro i wanna upgrade my iPhone 6s to iPhone 7plus because currently i can afford maximum iPhone 7 plus it has big screen and bigger battery and telephoto lens as well. ,,a10 chip which can fullfil my requirements little heavy usage ,, i need secondary device,, i use android as my main phone,, Main question is how long can ios 15 support latest app because ios 15 is last update for iPhone 7 and 6s
i hope youre able to get xr at least since its supported by the newest ios. i had my ip 6 for almost 4 years then i upgraded to pro bc some apps that i couldnt download due to old ios. if youre new to apple and dont need a lot of stuff to do on your phone, then choosing a used iphone within your budget is fine! just make sure to check the battery life and other stuff. my sister has ipad 5 that still works just fine and i still draw commissioned design on iphone without using apple pencil (im using a cheaper one). what makes it worthwhile is not having it, but how you can maximise what you have and make things easier! 😄
Anyone here got an iPad Air 3 at the moment? Are you looking to buy one? Curious to hear your thoughts!

I just upgraded from a 2017 iPad with 32 gb to this air 3 with 256 gb. Phenomenal value and still works with my Apple Pencil,
Is it worth the money especially if it use for school purposes???
I still use mine as a travel companion with my bluetooth keyboard case. It still does everything I need it to do. There's no need for me to upgrade

Its a ram issue when you got a lot of apps opened close some and issue resolved
My screen actually died eventually and had to be replaced. No issues since then.
The only problem I ever had with my iPad Air 3 (which I still use to this day) was the charging port breaking. That only happened once though.
